Very easy to use. Holds tons of pictures and data! Small, so it is easy to take along with you.

I am using this as a backup target for a MacBook Air. I like the overall package, small, attractive, very nicely finished. Also thought it was a very reasonable $/GB.

Storage is great but I know that I will need another. It is not compatible with non-Mac devices - a huge downfall. I needed to use a non-Mac computer in a pinch a few times and was unable to prove its worth. It is however a good product because I own a Mac - all of my items can be quickly uploaded/download to the device saving the hard drive of the Macbook Air!

I read the reviews and bought it. I did need to go to the Apple Genius Bar to understand how it works with the Time Machine. I had hoped I could access it, like a database, but it is a true back-up only, to restore your Mac in case of a major crash. The Apple specialist told me if I want to access specific files on the backup, these files can be stored on the first template inside the Seagate file. I like this backup; it is light and constantly automatically backing up data. I freed up 200GB on my Mac.

I was in dire need of some space and I found that this drive provided space and solid transfer speed. All together helping me to free up space on my MacBook Pro. You get more bang for your buck (Apple Users) as it comes with two years of cloud based storage for free well included in the price which was the same price for the PC version which both are compatible with whatever operating system you work on, though this one is preconfigured To work with Apple computers. Overall great product

Great product for a great price. Plenty of storage to back up whatever I want and it was extremely easy to set up. I plugged it in and opened time machine on macbook pro and it was as easy as a few clicks to back up the computer. No formatting or anything needed.

slim, fast, easy to open, somewhat affordable, the only thing i'm concerned with this drive is that i had to format it for it to work on imac's time machine. its easy for a tech like me but, for someone who is computer illiterate and doesn't know what they're doing they would have returned to the store

Mac compatible best drive from Seagate with great read/write speed compatible with both my 2010 and 2012 macbook. Bought this HDD to store all my digital copies of movies to stream while connected to my router. Ended up taking it back when the exact same one (except for one digit changed in model number) went on sale for $15 less. The cheaper one was for Mac/PC, so it was worth saving $15 for 20 seconds of reformatting work.

Does just what it says it does. 1To, just the amount needed for way much more than I actually do. And I save a lot. Keeps a lot of free space for a full saving of all my files just in case. As usual, I don't use the free software included, way too complicated to use. Very fair price (got $20 discount)

I bought this as the primary back up for my iMac. This external unit is 2x the size of the iMacs hard drive. It is so small and compact that you don't even know it's there! USB plug in and no external AC power to run it. updates itself or will update on command. Great Device. Highly recommend it

This hard drive did exactly what I needed. I have many many photos that needed storage as my hard drive on my Macbook Pro was near full. This hard drive was easy to set up and use straight from the box. I recommend this to anyone with a Macbook Pro looking for additional or backup storage.

I read several reviews before buying. Have owned for several months; so far no complaints. It's user friendly and mac compatible. It's only 1TB but that's all I need; most opt for 2TB + but than never use. 1TB for $65 is a deal. If I ever need more than 1 TB I will buy a second 1TB ;-)

I have a older Mac book and need a product like this that would allow me to store all my pictures on. This device connected to my older Mac book with no problems and seem to be very efficient for what I need it for. I also like the size allows me to transport it with my computer.

I have this Seagate because my backups for the system overall are mounted in a rack. They are Glyph Hot Swaps and they are each 1 TB and are very fast. But, they are too big and bulky to carry somewhere for data swaps or integration. But the Seagate can be unplugged from the USB 3.0 put in my shirt pocket and taken anywhere I need to be with it, without any hassles or issues. Very handy "little" device with the same power as the big boys.....but not so physically big. In fact it is about one-tenth the physical size with the same storage space and speed. Very nice indeed.

Very slim and handy with 1 TB you have a ton of storage. You can't go wrong with USB 3.0 super fast. Take note this model if design specially for MAC user.
