A very effective and practical way to back up information. Nothing to do, just plug it in when you need to back up, the device does the rest.

This exterior hard drive is perfect for desktop applications and traveling. It is compact and smooth so it sits in a purse or other bag well.

I love the seagate drives. Small, faster speeds than most and rarely ever have a problem with them. Best bang for the buck you can get.

I like the speed the price and size of this external drive. The only thing that bothered me is the bezels around the connection scratch easily. Otherwise it's a Workhorse of a drive and I would recommend this to anybody.

if you are looking for a portable slim drive that is reliable for mac this is a good option. Obviously any hard drive can be formatted for either mac or PC but this was pre formatted for my mother who isn't tech savvy

Setup took about 30 minutes . signal is now 4+ bars everywhere in my home. My Verizon hot spot only provided 1 bar if any when more than 10 feet from unit. Very pleased with this unit. Hooked up with 5g on newer devices 2g on older computer.

Plugged it in to my mac, and it was ready to go. The data transfer speeds are impressively fast, and it took very little time to back-up my machine. I've always purchased Seagate drives, and have had consistent performance from them.

This is a great, slim, light weight back up drive. It was easy to set up and start using. It's my third seagate (I've filled two others).

Seagate - Backup Plus Slim for Mac 1TB External USB 3.0/2.0 Portable Hard Drive. Bought it as a replacement for the WD passport external drive for MAC. So far seems to work fine. I only replaced the other at the recommendation of the Apple Store as a fix for decreased battery life and overheating for my Air. Haven't used it for a long, so time will tell.

Purchased over a year ago, has not failed me yet. My main source of backing things up on my MacBook, was very streamline and easy to use out of the box. A lot happier with this than the Lacie Porsche HD I tried before this. Highly Rec.
