This seagate backup drive is very light and easy to carry. It is quick in backup up my mac book pro and is recommendable for this liw price.

I researched this item at Apple, and it cost substantially more money there. I am pleased with this purchase.

Used to back up several macs (including old g5 tower via network- as unit doesn't connect to very old macs)

The Seagate system was easy to install. It is ready when my spouses starts copying all his "keeper" paperwork so he can categorize and file. This system has also been great to move the volumes of photos that have been on my system, freeing up operating space. Gotta have it with three teenagers on the system.

hold TONS of information. only thing is, it's only compatable with Apple, so you cannot transfer files from this device to a Windows computer

Purchase along with my Apple Air to help with file storage. Added bonus that it was on sale from Best Buy

Wonderful product. Just plug in and go. I use it on my Mac for pictures. I love it and that its lightweight.

I bought this to store photos. I bought a new apple MacBook Pro and I did not want to store all my photos on my laptop. I use a Phantom 4 drone and a Sony a6000 camera and use photoshop and Lightroom to process photos on my computer and my seagate external drive to store my photos.

I bought this to play elder scrolls online on my MacBook. Works very well, a little lag bit that's it.

I have experience with all of the name-brand portable drives that BB carries in their stores. Seagate is the brand I personally have the best overall experience and luck with in my day-to-day work. I got this one on sale and the sale price per GB pushes my overall rating from 4 to 5 stars.

Great eternal hard drive, fulfilled all my needs and have not had a problem with it yet.

Finally a Seagate External for MAC. I already have a Seagate External for my Regular Laptop... 2 For 1...

My other portable hard drive from another manufacturer is already starting to vibrate, so I felt it best to back up that backup drive. The Seagate drive is easy to store, connect and runs seamlessly with my MacMini. I especially appreciate the manufacturer's 2-year warranty.

Amazing external hard disk, it is slim and feels sturdy. Connects easily and has high transfer speed.

The Seagate portable hard drive for Mac was very easy to use. No special set-up was required. Just plug it in, and tell the computer that you want this drive to be your back-up. So far, it seems very sturdy and works well.

A great product with 1 TB storage to back up data. Easy to use. Would recommend this product

It looses one star just for the incredibly stupid and unreadable instructions. Just plug it in and learn by trial and error. Throw the instructions in the trash. So far so good. Haven't had to restore so, since that's most of the score, I should've given it one star but, since I hope I'll never have to restore, it could be years before I do a review.

I backed up my late model 2008 MacBook for the very first time using this external hard drive. So far, I noticed some of my photos are no longer on my laptop. I have not check the hard drive for the photos yet. I hope they are retrivable because I would be devastated if my photos from my South Africa vacation were lost. Also, I upgraded my software to El Capitan after backing up my laptop which may be the cause of the problem. So I'll give it 3 stars since I'm not sure if my photos are on the hard drive or not.

Works good as a Mac Time Machine backup drive out of the box. I've set a lot of these up for clients and haven't had one fail yet. Even though this version comes formatted for Mac, if I do the installation as a precaution I format the new drives using Apple's Disk Utility app.
