When my computer got infected with virus, this little gadget saved all my files on it. Works well, and relatively fast too. Only took a couple of hours to note everything down.

Just as promised, I plugged the unit into the USB adapter for my 12 inch MacBook and Time Machine grabbed it and made a backup. It's been backing up regularly automatically since then.

Works like it should. Wish it was a little more detailed with how to do certain backsup.

I needed an external hard drive that would work with my Macbook Pro for back ups. This was cost efficient and works perfectly for what I need. Its also easy to transport in my bag.

Its very solidly constructed which is great if you need something rugged, but it also adds weight.

It works just as advertised. Not sure why its a little pricier just because its Macintosh compatible?

You can't use time machine and backup your iPhone on the same hard drive. You can do one or the other but not both. Also, the Seagate dashboard feature leads you to believe you can backup your iPhone as long as you're on the same wifi - this is partially true. I've found that it works best if you plug your phone into the same Mac that runs the hard drive.

I'm a big fan of Seagate. This works perfect and very light and slim. If you're looking for the external hard drive for Mac, I'd recommend this.

Needed to back up my MacBook. This worked well. As soon as I plugged it in I was prompted to back up with Time Machine. This is formatted for Macs so don't hesitate to use it.

This is a good external hard drive, though I wish it were a bit faster to store and access my files.

I do a lot of video editing projects and notice all to often that my computer is slowing down dramatically. These external hard drives are a life and time saver, I store all my finished and in progress videos, which frees the space on my computer to do other background tasks.

So far this has been a good product. Easy to use and good price for the amount of memory. I was able to place files in folders to make it easier to retrieve at a later date.

I bought this as an IT professional servicing a Mac that had not been updated since 2011. It was a mess, but this external connected with no issues through every update.

Got this on sale, it performs as expected. Plug it into the mac and instantly recognized and already in proper Mac format. It's a good idea to at least have one back up drive.

The drive was really easy to use. True plug and play. I wish they had more on the cloud service that is said to come along with the product, but the manual had noting on it.

This is great for storing info from my computer that I want to use on another computer. I travel a lot and it's great to have all the info I want with me where I go

Good, slim drive for backup. If you have the new MacBook Pro you will need the adapter that converts the USB 3.0 port to the smaller, Thunderbolt ports on the computer.
