Hard drive defective

Worked for three days, then it died
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was able to backup my old computer, then restore the files to my new computer, and successfully backed up the new computer three times. Then, the disk drive failed. When I plugged it in, it just beeped continuously, and neither computer could recognize the backup drive. I called Seagate customer support, and was given an estimated wait time of 8 minutes. After 30 minutes, someone came on the line, and informed me that I had been connected to the wrong department. She transferred me to the correct department, I waited another 15 minutes, and spoke to a tech support person. She walked me through several steps to try to get the backup running, but she failed. I returned the drive to Best Buy, very disappointed.
