Went kaput after 2 days

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The 24tb drive is LOUD (you can hear the drive spinning) and vibrates, compared to WD. The after 2 days of minimal usage, it started beeping and computer reported fatal hardware issues. I must have gotten a bad one because this is the first Seagate in over 30yrs that was bad right out of the gate. I still have 20yr ild Seagate drives that still work (and no bad sectors). Recommend avoiding the higher TB drives and double up on smaller ones (like 2 12tb vs 24tb).

Dissapointed

Started to copy data and before the copy was complete the computer lost connection with the computer. I tried to unplug and test on other computers, but would not connect to any returned. I don't know if i got a dud or what. This is the first time i have had a Seagate drive die on me so fast.

Not what i expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The hard drive comes on a exfat format which can be problematic, unless you format the hard drive as NTFS, transferring files it’s very slow, it’s not and SSD, all it is a regular hard drive in a hard(plastic) shell, i also experience quite a lot of “invalid parameters “ errors! So i went ahead and returned the item and got a WD Black external hd. A lot of space, but a very problematic hd
