good as a cheap storage but it's slow, if using it as streaming storage be prepared to wait 40 sec every time you open a media file. It's loud and make my desk tremble. The transfer speed is OK I did transfer 20TB in about 16 hours. Does not come with USB-C and it's labeled for a Mac!!

Lots of Terabytes means buying a new HDD less frequently. Buy three of these to make your own redundant backup system and you are good to go!!!

Works as intended. I've been using it as an archive. It moves data around fairly quickly for a mechanical drive of thos size. My only gripe is that it doesn't use a USB A-C connection but the archaic USB 3.0 Standard A for the drive. Other than that, it's fantastic.

As an external hd the expansion line has some of the best value per terabyte or of any company. Mine have been running a couple months and no complaints. Running two of them.

Rock solid and reliable as expected from Seagate. The only possible negative is the data transfer speed, after working for several years now with SSDs a mechanical drive feels very slow. But with 26T of storage it's hard to argue the price point on this unit. Great external storage for infrequently used files.

This behemoth has become home to my backed up DVDs and Blu-Rays for a Plex Media Server and is great. Only thing close to an issue I have is that because I have my Mac Mini spin down inactive disks it makes an ugly spin-up noise when first seeking for content. Otherwise the fan and operation are quiet enough to have in a media room.

Honestly, they're cheaper than normal internal drives. $250 for 26tb is a steal. Extremely. Fast, even in Windows Storage Spaces. I bought 4 of these at the price, and have 205tb of storage now.

So far so good with no issues. This is a great price for such a large capacity. The 26TB only has 23TB of actual storage, but for the price it still beats the competition and has a great look to it.
