Works on our Xbox one's in a actual plug n play. no problems I pugged and it played

My main goal for purchasing this drive was to install Linux Mint on it and have extra space for backups. After several days of attempted installation, I realized that even though the install will complete, booting from the USB drive will fail. So I have dedicated it to be an extra backup drive and not as a bootable drive. Speed was not as stellar as the Seagate 2TB drive that I recently bought, and the Seagate was able to boot Linux Mint with no issues.

Great product, I have had no complaints with it. I would recommend it.

So far, running good. Needed extra storage space and this did it. Easy to use.

I bought it as a gift to my cousin. He needs this and likes it a lot.

It is a very nice hard drive, this is my third one, great price too.

I was transferring photos and videos from my older Seagate desktop hard drive (which sounds fine by the way) to this newer one and it would always make these loud clanking sounds and sounded like it was struggling within the transfer. I know some noise is normal but my 3 year old compared to this new one sounded like if this specific one was the older one. I might of gotten a defective one but that was just my personal experience.

Running out of space on my desktop, this was a great solution.

This is probably one of the best hard drives I have ever purchased.

It was intended to be to be used to store my son's kids pictures and expand Xbox for games but you can not do both so purchase two.

just opened box yesterday, but easy set-up and seems to be working fine, time will tell on whether performance is adequate

Was not happy it was not compatible with my apple but luckily I was able to get the last one that was from store.

Some of the matenece software is not up to date for Windows 10

I am trying to put files on this drive from smaller hard drives. I am able to have 2 western digital drives connected at the same time but, my computer will only recognize 1 Seagate at a time. I am using windows 10.

I bought this drive as an external backup, replacing a smaller Seagate which I never cared for (always disconnecting randomly). Hopefully, this will be more stable. So far, so good.

Bummer these HDs are not true 5TB (none are), expect about 4.8. Large cabinet, but not planning to transport. Had my ups and downs with Seagate in the past, but 5T doe price is best I've seen. Have to consolidate a bunch of old HDs onto this one with irreplaceable photos and videos, and this HD works well so far. 3.0 a must. Expect slow boots with a docked laptop.
