Fast SSD, perfect for PS5

Two things stop me from giving this a higher score: 1. The price, the 2 TB SSD is basically like buying another PS5. Hopefully with time and more chips become available the price drops 2. This maybe more on the PS5 firmware than this SSD, but the speed reads as 6500 mb/sec not 7300. Not that it matters all that much as it is faster than the SSD in the PS5 but hopefully it won't affect performance as more demanding PS5 games come out in 2022 and beyond.

FireCuda Memory Upgrade

I was able to install this in my PS5 in just a few minutes. I did the format on it in just a few seconds. It is blazingly fast. Plus, its own heatsink to keep it from overheating. I transferred a several games in just a couple of minutes. Just WOW

Seagate FireCuda 2TB SSD Drive for PS5 Console.

Easy to install, just one cover plate screw, and one screw to hold the SSD Drive in place. I bought a small driver set Best Buy offered near it to make sure I had the bits I needed. It was a good deal too. Just go to settings on your PlayStation 5 and follow the directions to format the drive. Works Flawlessly.

Seagate FC 530 - MORE RELIABLE thn Samsung 990Pro

Former "king" Samsung is dethroned in terms of Data Retension/Reliability this FieCuda 530 while not exactly "Enteprise", but getting closer to Enterprise.class in this spec despite enormous data thruput/speed is ALSO reliable - UNlike Samsung 990 Pro which's unfit fr critical (Data Longevity) applications. This FireCuda 530 despite marketed as fr personal/home (computers & PS5) use can in fact fit low-end Enterprise segment as.well, UNlike so-called "Pro" of Samsung 990 Pro, e.g in frquent/massive random writes/(& reads), RAID1/& +higher levels, NAS, Etc. Samsung is fast, but dies fast too, who cares for speed if data is at risk (!) under business/intense loads, whereas this FIreCuda offers 5 YEARs(!) warranty amongst other perks of semi-entrprise/business class This comes from me, who only used Western.Digital Black & "Gold"/Enteprise harddrives & Intel SSDrives in past, then Samsung fr home, only Samsung, & now slowly who knew ? - Seagate is edging up above competition. I, being WD/Intel/Samsung in past, didn't expect this from Seagate !
