Because it is licensed with Sony, you don't have to worry about it negatively effecting your PS4. One thing that it doesn't tell you is that you can not just unplug it. you must fully shut off your PlayStation or go into settings and safely remove the drive. There is a chance to lose all saved data on it if you don't. But, other than that, amazing.

Worth your money

I thought 2TB is not enough, but I managed to store more than 35 games easily. I bought this for my PS5 digital version and it works perfectly. I play all ps4 games right from the external storage. Although I noticed a faster loading time ingameing when moveing ps4 games to ps5 hard drive. Anyway for its price, it is highly recommend.
