Definitely defeated the purpose of me getting it. Just a waste of time & money if getting for the PS5

It is still going strong with no issues and is now used on my ps5. I even bought another two for some friends of mine and their systems knowing I could trust it to work very well, with easy installation, and last a long time. One of which is now about 6 years old at this point with no signs of slowing down. Great if you have a great, big, back catalog of specifically ps4 games. Simply plug it into the USB A port in the back of either your ps4 or ps5 system, boot it up, the system will recognize it and do the rest! Easy! If you manage to put it in the wrong port. The system will let you know without causing a disturbance or breakage of your system. So no worries!

You cannot play PS5 games that are transferred over to this device, you will have to transfer them back to your console to play them. However, any PS4 game that is transferred, is playable.

The thing I did not know was that you wouldnt be able to play the games directly from the drive. But it works for storing your games.
