Even contacted them through chat to make sure it could store games and be played. They said it can and it cannot. You can store the games but have to reupload them to the console. Did more research and you have to buy an internal hard drive or the PlayStation 5 which is about 5x more expensive than this. Don’t waste your time or money.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It works just fine whole lots of storage the only downside is that you are not able to play ps5 games off this storage unit you’d have to copy the game to the ps5 which takes up both extended storage and console storage so if you have a ps5 this isn’t what your looking for works great for ps4

Why would an external storage have capabilities to process/play a PS5 game. Item is still adequate. If you need the space and havent gotten an additional internal storage. This is it!
