Definitely need this for extra storage. Especially if you have a 500GB system. There is just not enough storage in the system for installing your games. Games are usually between 40GB and 60GB each. The 500GB Xbox One could only hold 8 games before I was out of storage space. Therefore (and unfortunately) an external hard drive is needed to go any further with more games. This hard drive is already formatted for your Xbox and very easy to set up.

I bought this for my Xbox so that I could download additional games and I love it. 2Tb is plenty’s of space and it’s very easy to use. I just recently bought a new one because I sold my old one a year ago with my old Xbox. I had my old one for multiple years and never had a single problem with it. It’s easy to use and I would definitely recommend it.

This was the perfect solution. I was having to delete games in order to download a new game! I also feel like the games download faster now too with the extra storage space! Great purchase!

I still own a Xbox 360 video game console. This works for both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles. It has plenty of memory for my games to save and download. I've heard Xbox One games have higher save capacity. I've had no problems with this device. Its very easy to transfer data from the internal drive on my console to the external one. Great Product!

I bought this because I kept having to delete and re-download games due to limited HDD space. It boots up fast and it actually took a huge burden off the box so it seems to run faster.

My son has an xbox one with a 500gb hard drive. He was upset because he kept having to uninstall some games to install new games. I bought this 2tb hard drive and he is very happy.

Bought this as I was running out of internal space on my Xbox. Now I can have more games installed, and not have to uninstall something I may not play for a little bit, instead of leaving it installed, wait that little bit, then pick it back up. Lots of digital games? Get one! No problems with mine, and super happy with it.

After hearing my step-son continuously cry about running out of space and having to remove things from an Xbox I decided an excellent birthday present would be external storage. So now after a few months of him using this he is quite content with the expanded storage now available to him. I really love that it's solid state as to how he just likes it so it in his backpack and run out to his friends house.

An external hard drive is a must have for those with the original 500G xBox One. After 10 or so games my memory was full and I kept needing to delete games to install new ones. This hard drive gave me more than enough room to install all my games and have room for years to come. Additionally, set up on this hard drive was very easy and only takes a minute.

My son asked for this for Christmas and loves that he doesn't have to delete any of his other stuff on his xbox. Well worth the money to please a teenager!!!

My 16 loves not having to delete games off his Xbox one so, he can download more and it’s all due to the convenience of this nifty external drive. And let’s not forget he can take the games on his external drive to his friends house and not have to take his entire Xbox one Consol like he used to and I don’t have to worry about his Console been damaged by accident at his friends house.

A great option for expanding Xbox storage. Set up is very easy. You literally plug it in and it then asks if you want to format for Xbox use. Once that is done you are good to go. I don't notice any difference when playing between things stored on this versus the Xbox itself.
