This external drive worked great for the first year, then it just stopped working..... Did not meet my expectations for a Seagate external drive.

I thought this would work with xbox360 games for storage. It didnt work because it was one of the first xbox 360s. It should have listed which ones it was compatible with. Best buy did allow me to return it.

My friend has had the same hard drive for 6 years and I’ve had to get a 3rd hard drive in under 2 years

I have had it about two months and it already doesn’t work... when plugged in you can feel and hear it running but the light doesn’t turn on and doesn’t read that it exists...

But why does the driver stay on while the Xbox has been shut down? Should I be worried? I had to disconnect the usb cable to power it down.

Was good up until after the first full year it stopped working but besides that it was a good hard drive

Now I will say that this is probably for just the one I picked up, but it isn't working properly. Now with that being said my friend also picked one up and his works fine so I may have just picked up a defective one. When I can find the time I will be going in to return this one. It is very nice to have a large storage area for all my games and I don't have to uninstall and pick and choose games to keep for my Xbox.

I recently bought this hard drive for my xbox one so I could download my gaming library. After using the Seagate 2TB game drive for about two weeks after purchase it stopped working. It deleted all my games, save files on the drive, etc. Literally stopped working less than a month after purchase. I'm glad I bought the geek squad protection because I will be back in the store soon for a replacement when i'm not busy working. Due to the COVID pandemic I now have to schedule a visit to come in and consult my replacement. I should be able to do this over the phone or on the website but I guess best buy doesn't offer that for paying customers. I do not recommend this product at all. Avoid all seagate products. Seagate products are unreliable.

Expensive for extra storage but was necessary. Hopefully won’t have buy any more extra storage for awhile

Stopped working before it was a year old . My boyfriend uses it everyday he was not to happy.

My son was very excited to get this, it only last for 3 months and now he's going to lose everything on it.

Great product. I’ve had one break on me before. I think it shorted out. But overall I’m happy with it. I use it everyday.

All of the sudden I can't play any games on this hard drive.

This was purchased as gift . have not used it. Have to wait until Christmas to see!!!!

Had to replace one due to the motor locking up but does what it is supposed to when it worked.

It worked when I first bought it but now it won’t even be detected by my xbox or pc

I bought one of these for my son in December. It worked great for less than 2 months when it just quit working. We took it to Geek Squad in the store. They basically said it was toast and there was nothing they could do. They let us know that this type of drive can be fragile, so I figured my son dropped it or something. We bought another one and made sure to secure it properly. It has not been dropped, bumped, or bonked and two days ago it just stopped working. Seems like 2 months is the max life span. Two hundred bucks down the drain. Needless to say, we won't be buying from this maker ever again.

Great product for installing every game your heart desires couldn’t ask for more.Only flaw is that it stop lighting up to signal power on and lasted me only 1 month and 10 days. Seagate needs to improve the life expectancy on these products.On a product this expensive don’t hesitate to add warranty like myself it’s a lifesaver.
