I brought this HD knowing I'll be running out of space. The only problem was I could only use it for Xbox one or 360. It came unformatted because the manufacturing doesn't know how you're going to use it.

My son loves his drive. He requested this one specifically, and it has worked out great for him!

Easy to set up. Nice to take your games in a small package and play anywhere.

Product is good as an external drive. That said: the Xbox system does NOT recognize it as a hard drive, but as an external/USB drive. If you do not have enough hard drive to load a game, You cannot directly load/play the game from the Seagate drive. You must transfer files from hard drive to Seagate to create enough space to load the game onto Xbox. Info on site was not clear about this.

I bought this for my son as a gift that was on his wish list.

Has some issues when transferring lots of high size files in one sitting, but mostly pretty solid external hard drive.

I plugged it in and it only showed up as media storage and I couldn't format it for games on the xbox so I tried formatting it on the pc and now the xbox won't even recognize it. Should it really be this difficult for a hard drive that actually says specifically for xbox ones? I mean wtf!?!

Overall it's a good product I only wish it was 7200 RPMs.

Worked when first set up for about a year. Now the XBOX will not detect it. Replaced the HDMI Chord, worked with Seagate to reconfigure it and nothing worked. Need a new Hard Drive but don't want to run into the same issue.

If you wanna buy this product please get the two year protection plan trust me. This external hard drive can stop working anytime like it did for me. So I got the Seagate external hard drive 2tb about 3-4 months ago. Recently it stopped working after the new Xbox update. It’s like the Xbox won’t recognize the external hard drive. I’ve tried to fix this thing but it won’t work. When I plug it into the Xbox the light doesn’t turn on but I can feel the drive spinning. I tried to plug it into the computer and format it but it just won’t work. Please help anybody.

Bought this in mid-December of 2019 and after only a month of owning the product (did not even play xbox half of those days), it suddenly stopped working. I figured "Okay, no big deal. I know electronics can be finicky some times. I will exchange it for a new one in store." Exchanged it with ease only to have the new one stop working after 10 days... It was working perfectly and there were no power surges or issues that should have caused any sort of issue. I will definitely be looking for a refund this time around and trying a different brand.

Buy only if you want it for only 3 years. I contacted seagate because it just stopped working. Seagate said it was an internal problem. I was literally told that some customers get ling lasting devices and i got the short end of the stick. They finally said, sorry we cant help you, buy a new one.

I'm tech savy and a friend asked me to install this drive on their xbox one. I did everything correct, but when I formatted it for games & apps it erased everything on the internal drive. I have read the xbox one reviews and only 3% of the game drives do this. Geek Squad used to do Game Drive formatting in store for $8. If it does erase everything you will have a lot of work to do.

Died with in 30 days. This product is trash and not worth the money. Worked up until my time of return was up now wont even power on. In trash it goes 85 dollars wasted no thanks to seagate.

This is now my third HD that has failed on me in the past 2 months. No I do no unplug it while running nor is it overheating.
