||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Would recommend this to everyone who has an Xbox 500 GB system It's cool that you can take it on the go with you to any other Xbox and just bring the game (or just transfer the digital copy if that's what you have to the hard drive) and start playing. Reminds me of the good old days where I was able to bring a memory card and game disc to a friends house and have all the saved data there.

Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this for my sons Series S digital console and its great for more storage space the only thing is a lot in times if you are going to play a game from the external memory you have to transfer it from the external drive to the console first having transferred something of equal space from the console to the external to free up space…..at least they’ve made this easy to do…external drive is great though does the best it’s aloud to do

What Every Xbox One Needs

I spent months deleting less important things so I could download new items. With this 2TB storage, I'm pretty positive I won't run into storage problems during the remaining life of my Xbox One. The drive was not recognized the first time I hooked it up, but after restarting my Xbox One, it read it with no problems.

Perfect Xbox Series S Companion

As many may know, the Xbox Series S has very limited storage. This additional 2TB is absolutely necessary if you plan on downloading more than 2 or 3 games on your Xbox, especially since the Xbox Series S is completely digital. Highly recommended

Not needed - but a nice addition

You definitely don't need the XBox branded hard drive, however, this one is made for the XBox. It takes less than 5 minutes to set up and is specifically compatible with the XBox. It was better for us than having to format another drive. I think these are like $10 more than other comparable brands, but it's worth the extra money cause we are lazy :P
