My son insisted it was the one he needed, but if this one fails as fast as the last one (less than 2 years) we will switch to another storage drive. Recommendation below is based on ease of use, not reliability.

Compared to others and wanted something with no unforseen hassle, this was it. When compared to other external storage, Yes, a bit overpriced and not on sale often. It was a hard decision when other 2TB cost $25 less at times.
