After my Sony Vaio hard drive finally retired, it's time for me to upgrade and found this momentus 500gb at my local bb store a month ago... It's quite, has more capacity and performs well .. I'm satisfied with my purchased ESP when after a week the price went down so I had to run to bb to have a price match refund :)

This works great, exactly as advertised. Unfortunately I misread and it's SATA... my old laptop isn't. Oh well. Now I have an external. Cool.

Seagate is known to have good, reputable products which is why I purchased the Momentus 500GB Internal Hard Drive from Best Buy for my laptop.

I inadvertently bought this instead of the hybrid that I wanted. I kept it and bought an external enclosure and turned it into a USB 3.0 backup drive. Once a week, I plug this into my Mac and time machine takes over. It couldn't have been easier. It's super fast and really quiet. What's not to like?

When I needed my lap top repaired, the geek squad folks told me I should get a new drive so I did.

My laptop hard drive broke, I bought this replacement HD and gave it a try. The installation was just simple, insert my recovery disk and there, I have my laptop back. I didn't had important items on my prior HD, so it wasn't an issue at all I had to use a blank one this time.

Bought this to replace the drive in my laptop. Windows had gotten so junked up that it was time for a fresh install. Much easier to put in a new HD and access the old one as an external than to try to backup and selectively restore. The aggravation saved more than offset the cost of a new drive.

Make sure they check connection wire set it blew my first reinstall and they replaced for free great customer service in brick nj store

I am disabled so my daughter-in-law did do this for me. But, it very easy to take out the old hard disk drive and install the new one. It does take a little bit of time. But, it's worth it. And I didn't have to buy a new laptop. Everything is much faster. I am very pleased with this product

For 90% of users, this drive is excellent. Gamers and those wanting very fast read/writes will probably need to look at a faster drive.

This drive was bought to replace a drive that when out. It is the right size for what I needed.
