My 80gb ps3 needed a replacement hard drive and this was my choice. So far no issues and I am back to gaming. Run's as quiet, if not more quiet than my previous hard drive.

The hard drive in my laptop computer quit working so I purchased this one to replace it. It was a direct replacement size for size and this one works just as well as the old one when my computer was new.

I liked my segate hard drive so far is working smothly.

This is a Good Hard Drive, but I was really looking for a 7200 RPM speed Hard Drive. No where on the box did it say what the RPM speed is. Big difference between a 5900 and 7200 RPM speed Hard Drive.

I installed this SSD in a desktop computer to speed boot time and access to programs while using the old boot drive for data storage. It has worked flawlessly since installation and accomplished what I set out to do.

This HDD has performed very well only old Macbook Pro. So far it has performed as I expected. Installation and set up was easy. I think seagate is a good and reliable brand so I expect no problems with this unit.

The geek squad helped guide me in right direction with this purchase. I installed it myself, due to the changes in their policy. After it was installed, they could then reprogram the computer. It was then ready to pick up in two days.

The hard drives used in most laptops are typically 4200rpm to 5400rpm. The higher the speed, the faster the computer can read the data. A failing drive might have an effective speed of half or slower. A failed drive, of course, has a speed of 0. This drive is the cheapest replacement for an older laptop. If your laptop is 3 years old or less, look for a 7200rpm drive or SSD to actually improve the performance from stock. The SSD especially will make it better than new. But for an older machine that doesn't need to be super speedy, it fills the bill. If you are replacing a dead hard drive, make sure you have all your install/restore discs or you got nuthin.

The hitachi HD on my mac mini simply quit after 3 years. This is the first time I've tried this seagate model as a replacement. The price ($50) is average for a 500G drive, I guess. Let's see if this seagate performs better than the old hitachi.

I had to replace the hard drive in my rig and this worked great. Installed perfectly and neatly.

I had to grab this drive in a pinch since my laptop crashed and I needed something quickly. The price was ok, although I'm sure I could have found something cheaper online if I could have waited a little longer. Overall I'm happy with this buy.

ive had the same HP printer for 7 years. The ink has become much cheaper over the years but this particular ink cartridge does not last very long. I print very little and It seems it 20 pages before it needs replaced.

My sons laptop had crashed and upon getting it checked we found that the hard drive was bad. When I bought this hard drive we were able to reload it and get it back up and operational.

I have had several Seagate products in the past and have only had a problem once and the reason I go back with Seagate is that they stand behind their products. I highly recommend.

I like sea gate ok, I bought this because they were out of the Western Digitals at my store. These are good for about 3 years. I get at least 5 years out of the WD brand . It does the job for a while. Only 1or 2 yr warranty on these .

My wife's hard drive failed about a year ago and I replaced it with the Seagate 500gb laptop drive and we have not had any problems so far after a year.

A common hard disk drive for replacing your current laptop hard drive or as a backup replacement. If you do not know how to work with computers it is best to let a professional repair it but otherwise it is adequate for basic uses.
