Usually I would buy the 1TB Toshiba 2.5 hard drives for gaming but now that they have stopped making hard drives, I was told at best buy, I had to find a new brand. So I figured I would give the Seagate Moments 500GB a shot. Well off the bat I had multiple compatability issues with this hard drive using Windows 8/8.1 drivers along with Nvidia gforce graphics drivers. On top of this issue the hard drive is so much slower than the Toshiba's I would use, which cost usually only 50 dollars compared to this Seagate. Western digital will be my next a tempt at a decent hard drive to build a NAS.

Was a perfect addition to a slim chassis Dell desktop. It had room for a second drive but the space was only the size of a 2.5 inch drive. Works like a charm.

Giving this a review is about as useful as reviewing a newfangled type of bottles water in that, at the end of the day, it's bottled water. This will not change your life for better or worse and that's probably a good thing.

I took the laptop in and was told it would be 3 to 5 days for the repairs. It took 3 days and everything was exactly how I wanted it. They did a great job and did it fast.

My Grandson set a magnet on top of his laptop, oops. Best buy sales person recommended this one. Saved the day, I didn't have to buy him a new computer. Thanks Best Buy!!!!!!

Not sure new hard drive was actually installed. Had to return the next day. All same probs. Did not re-install my backup disc that Geek Squad said they had made so I lost important info. Pd for tech support ($200) but online support couldn't help. Told me to call store. Brought back to store, kept 2 days, said they reinstalled backup but no data! Said cleaned up 7 new viruses (acquired within 24 hrs???) Basically this computer is useless aside from searching internet or playing a few games. Several weeks later, all same problems plus some. Very disappointed in Best Buy & Geek Squad and I feel I wasted a lot of money

use it to backup my system, I use Acronis to make a complete copy of my system. then if I have problems I can just swap out the drive in the computer and replace it with my new drive..... no down time.

My Grandson had an issue with his computer. Broken hard drive. The Geek Squad told us exactly what to get so they could fix the problem! Great customer service, always!

The replacement hard drives are lasting much longer than the OEM units on the last lot of HP computers for our company. Originally purchased because of price and have continued to purchase because of quality.

This is a great hard drive; I have been using Seagate for over 15 years. They have great customer service and the hard drivea hold up well.

Needed a replacement for my hard drive that messed up and wasn't working anymore so geek squad installed it and has been working great so far

When my PS3's 30 gig hard drive was no longer big enough, I used this 500 gig hard drive to upgrade the PS3 to a much larger capacity. It works perfectly!

I wouldn't say anything spectacular about this or negative at all. It's a hard drive and it works! Replaced a bad hard drive which seems to be quite common these days for some odd reason. LOL

Works great. After install and formatting it was ready to install operating system on my 17" MacBook Pro. Not a single problem yet.

It's a hard drive. Either it works or it doesn't. this one is now relegated to an external case and used as a backup portable drive. Not the fastest drive but it functions fine in this role.

When you need a replacement HDD in a hurry, BB has a good selection of drives to pick from. Kind of a bummer they don't seem to offer many 7200rpm drives, but these work for easy replacements.

This is an internal hard drive replacement. This is a big thing to have replaced on a relatively new laptop. Should last several more years now.

New HD better is response than the original product HD in my Dell Laptop. Was easy to transfer data and download programs.

I purchased it and had someone install it when my computer suddenly wouldn't come on anymore. It was pricey but it definitely worked out and got me up and running again on my computer.
