I needed another USB drive to move data to/from work. This unit is very slim and has USB3 for fast speeds. A big improvement over USB2 if you have USB3 ports.

I bought this to back up a laptops hard drive. I had to stall the software so it could format it to my Mac 3 times to get it set up. A bit annoying.... Other than that it's been great.

This was easy to start using - just had to plug it in. It doesn't come any better than that for me. I like the size and the fact that it has a USB plugin.

I am not the most computer literate person but this was quick and easy to use. It is very compact and lightweight making it easy to carry when needed.

The drive works great with my MacBook Air. No need for AC power as it is powered by the USB port. Having an 11 in MacBook Air space is limited, but this drive provides the additional space I needed. Small form factor and weight. A wonderful addition to my backpack.

Got this to transition from an old computer to a new one. It had room for all my documents and years of photos. Using it is simple.

needed more space for back up and this is the ticket for size and price, it has good ratings and was on sale for a good savings too

This external hard drive has solved all my problems and is a lot cheaper than buying several large size flash(thumb) drives. In fact, I think I'm going to buy a second one also to use when traveling on my laptop.

Listen if I can get this to work anyone can. It does exactly what I want and it is very compact. Bought at a great price, on sale.

Very compact but still a good deal of disk space, this is my primary portable storage unit (I've been using it for ~2mos now) . The transfer speeds are acceptable (best used with a USB 3.0 plug on the computer, typically the blue colored one one). I'm really happy with this drive. The only annoyance is the plug on the drive is not a standard mini or micro USB, so if I happen to forget the cable, I can't use another standard one... but overall not a big deal.

Easy to use and set up, and very portable. Slim design also makes it easy to store.

Does the job like it should. I feel at ease knowing my data is backed up as my HP Desktop PC is 8 years old.

This external hard drive is great. It has 500gb which is plenty of space for someone like me, a college student. I was able to completely backup everything on my laptop: all my music, photos, and important files. This external hard drive also comes pre-installed with some tutorial videos on how to use the hard drive itself, along with cloud and facebook features etc. It is USB 3.0 capable which is great too. I highly recommend the Seagate brand. Great product
