Nice product to have, but really it was a pain to setup and maintain. Also, the device has some thing that keep running (I guess). Not worth spending money on this.

It works as aspected. We mainly use on our ipads while they have limited gard drive. Perfect to watch videos or listen music. Also helps make space in iPhone and ipad.

Establishing a WiFi connection is frequently touch and go. Once WiFi connection is established, unit will stay connected. Web-based "software" operating system is clumsy; it can stand improvement to streamline operations (copy, move, run, delete). As a USB hard-drive, the unit works great (fast and reliable). My recommendation for this unit is conditional: 1. If you can find a unit that connects to WiFi more reliably, you probably should go that route. 2. I bought the unit during a one-day special offer (offer recurred only once since buying). I would not pay full price for this device.

it is very good. I used it for my ipad. it can stream video smoothly.

We bought this hard drive with wifi after camping with some friends at a national park with no electric and kids. At night, it was great to have an option to let them use electronics!

Does not work with Apple iOS 8. Won't stream any media in iTunes format. When you attempt to stream any Apple media and error message appears stating "does not support format". After checking the reviews for the app on the app store, I discovered this is a known problem and Seagate won't or can't fix it. I will be returning the it tomorrow.

I was transferring my files between computers. I had the item all of 2 weeks and the USB cord connection stopped working. I could wiggle it to work, but not long enough to transfer my data. The USB also charges the battery in the unit. I attempted to connect via the wireless (I was going to remove all of my sensitive info then return to the store) but the battery died on me which disabled the entire unit. I did not want to return the equipment until I had all of my sensitive confidential information removed from it. Needless to say, I cannot do that now. To escalate my dissatisfaction with this product, Seagate does not have a customer service contact number nor email address. I will never buy a Seagate product again. A total waste of $52. Please don't waste your money as I have.

I liked the packaging but I was surprised with the poor product literature

So happy to find something like this for my kids to take on the road and keep them entertained. But after 2 weeks of minimal usage, the drive completely died. Rebooted so many times but it was unrecognizable by my smart TV and Mac. Will exchange for another one and see if I have better luck.
