It auto updates its software, but I have latest. It performs threat protection "in the cloud" and is always up to date: no downloads of threat definitions. This was one of 2 Geek Squad had for sale and I prefer this company product by far. It is important to me that this product is USA company and address for consumer issues is in USA.

Great software included with new laptop purchase

I purchased a brand new laptop for my niece for Christmas and this software was included. I like that I am able to load the software on 3 different devices which will allow me to not only use it on her new laptop but on her tablet and smartphone as well. I like knowing that even though she is not well versed in the area of computer and Internet Security, this software is working in the background to help me keep her safe while she is online.

It hasn't caused me any problems so far, which is something I appreciate. I need to use it a little longer before I know if it is better than Norton.

I haven't installed it because its only for 6 months and I don't want to keep getting those annoying pop ups asking me to pay for it after the 6 months. If it was available for free and MORE than 6 months I would love it!
