His birthday was October 15th. This item was broken straight out of the box. Best Buy wouldn't let me return it because it was over 30 days old (even though it was a gift) and I needed to go through the manufacturer. I did everything Segway asked me to do from trouble shooting, creating a video, pictures and shipping. It arrived at their repair facility on October 26th. Here we are now into December and still no scooter and communication 0. I'm 45 years old and have made 1000's of purchases as well as dealt with many manufacturers of products. I have never encountered an experience like this. I contacted Segway 2 weeks after they recieved it an they told me to be patient when I asked the status of the repair. No time frame, details, or explanation just "be patient". Well, I have been patient for a month now and still nothing!! My patience is gone and I have zero confidence in this product or company. I would like my money back asap. I've never left a company or product a bad review but I'm definitely going to do that now in every spot I can. Segway should be ashamed of the lack of customer service and Best Buy you need to know what your customers are experiencing with this manufacturer if they have an issue.

Never got more than 12 miles range from day 1 .Chalked it up to me being 190 , not riding in totally flat terrain . As of recently the same 6 mile commute that used to leave me with %47 battery. Now leaves me with %10 and sometimes even dead , pushing it home Contact warranty center through the app that freezes , wont let me type . Restart it . Start the process all over again and all they can offer is if i ship it at my expense to California Theyll look at it. There are so many other cheaper competitors out there some even offer parts for self repair. I thought i was paying a premium for a premium product. Had i know i would have bought something else . Even my soecialized levo has a battery health gauge in the app . I thought segway was a superior product but apparently im wrong
