Error 39 only 7 mins into riding daily, hazardous
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Received this as a Christmas gift. I was very pleased when I first used it, but I didn't go very far. I probably just gave it a spin around the block. Worked fine. Eventually, I decided to use it to commute to work. Work is only 0.9 miles away. Every time I hit the 0.6 mile mark, I get "ERROR 39" on my scooter non-stop....The error means the battery is "too hot" or the temperature outside is "too cold"...This causes the scooter to slow down, and almost immediately halts your scooter, which is a hazard especially when you're on the road like I am. The explanation/solution the website offers is "wait and let it cool down, or move it to a warmer area", "sometimes this happens for no reason", or change the battery like that's such a cheap and simple task...FYI, it usually takes 7-10 mins before I constantly get the error message and the scooter is deemed unusable. I would not suggest purchasing this scooter unless you're open to taking the risk of it stopping in the middle of the road for no reason while a car is behind you!

Terrible Quality Control!

But first, I want to highlight that I had a great experience buying from Best Buy. The team at the Attleboro MA location has next level customer service! ——-- I charged my scooter once and used about 50% of the battery (which went much faster than advertised) before it stopped turning on. I went online to research what I could do to try to fix it, tried everything and nothing worked, so I brought it back to Best Buy and exchanged it for a new one (Best Buy made it very easy). I brought the new one home and had the same issue right out of the box! This is unacceptable, and proof of terrible quality control, so this time I opted for a refund instead. Do yourself a favor and choose a brand with better quality control practices.

TOTAL GARBAGE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DO NOT BUY. Segway is garbage. We bought 2 of these so we could scooter around town. We kept these indoors and took them out periodically. One works and the second one has a battery that won’t hold a charge. It has less than 20 miles on it. Segway wants us to pay to ship it both ways thru fedex , and it’s 45 lbs, and then they’ll pay to replace the battery. No thank you. Buy ANY OTBER BRAND. Total garbage.

Waste of Money!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased 4 of these Segway's 2 years ago. All of them need new tires already. Some just went flat for no reason and the others just didn't hold up. I can NOT find anyone to replace the tires! One of them I had to throw in the trash because it was making a very loud high pitch noise which I assume was a faulty battery. This noise went on non stop for 2 weeks. I couldn't find anyone willing to replace the flat tires. Segway told me I was out of luck with any type of warranty or repair center close to Englewood, FL. Don't waste your money on a product that has no capable repair centers and does not back their products!

Buyer Beware! Get another brand
