    It’s such a fun device but it has many design and software flaws and segways customer support is nonexistent. Within 3 weeks of new the rear fender’s folding clip fell off due to not being torqued properly or lack of loc-tite. I opened a case with Segway customer support and they immediately said they could send me a new one… never happened. About 2 months after that (less than 300 miles in) a very loud and concerning clunk noise developed from the rear end when giving it throttle. I reached out again to customer service and they want me to send the entire scooter back to their service department in California. How on earth do you expect me to box this thing up and ship it, let alone without even telling me it will for sure be under warranty or even returned? I pushed the claim further and they then offered to send me a new rear motor as the most probable component to solve the issue.. to replace on my own, which is fine. Here I am literally three more months after they confirmed they would send me a motor and fender with neither item. They continue to say neither is in stock… yet somehow they can still deliver new scooters. I asked for a trade out and they said they can’t do that after 30 days. It is also relevant that this scooter has never been wrecked or even laid down. There isn’t a scratch on either handlebar end. So here I have a $1,000 product that lasted <100 miles before a failure, 300 miles before a critical failure and the manufacturer won’t support well within the warranty period. If someone from Best Buy or Segway would like to reach out to me about this I would appreciate it. My Best Buy order number was: BBY01-806777768869 My Segway customer service case number is 00446510

    Error code 40

    I’m sad that within 26 days of having this scooter, an error 40 code message appeared on the dashboard which means I now have to send it back to Segway in California for them to inspect and repair, and hopefully at no charge to me. Then they have to send it back. Unfortunately, there is no support system set up in Philadelphia, that I can take the scooter to locally for it to be fixed. Instead I have to ship it for repair. I am not entirely sure why this error code appeared so quickly. I barely ride it as it is. So it’s really odd to me. I expected better from Segway. Apart from this issue, it’s a great ride! I have enjoyed riding it around the city getting to and from appointments.

    Bad alignment

    I will update my review but so far I give 3 star due to alignment. Scooter won’t go straight when handle is straight forward. It will turn right bit. Otherwise pretty happy. Went on few miles, so far no sign of overwatering in 110 f outside

    The scooter has some improvements and if it works it is great. However, there are two major deal-killing issues. First it overheats quickly, this has also been described by many other users. We had one warranty replacement due to this issue already. Shipping to Segway is a pain. Second, Segway advised against using this even in light rain as any damage will not be covered by warranty. That means you can only use it in good weather which excludes this for most commuters. Segway service is very strict on this issue and refuses any help.

      The degree of protection against water of this model is IPX5, which offers protection against water projected from a spray nozzle (or jet of low-pressure water stream) at any angle for up to 10 – 15 minutes from a distance of 3 meters at 30 kilopascals pressure. Generally, it is considered water-resistant, sweatproof, rainproof, or splashproof but not as fully waterproof.

    Not worth getting stranded

    Great scooter, fast, comfy ride. Wouldve kept it if it didnt leave me stranded due to the app completely failing and not being able to turn the scooter on, even after you disable the rempte locking device. It was great when it ran but i went thru 2 in 2 weeks: the first one did not live up to its waterproof rating and was compromised due to water in a light rainstorm - and then the second one just quit powering up. The switch to turn it on just stopped working altogether along with the connecivity issues - Read some horror stories about having to replace the throttle mechanism or some thing. Dont buy this chinese piece of trash!!Not worth spending this amount of money for what i thought was a good brand. Segway, you dropped the ball

    Hey! Just wanted to share my thoughts on the scooter you were interested in. Overall, the scooter is in good condition and the quality seems fine. However, I have noticed that the top speed only goes up to 15 miles per hour when using the sport mode. Additionally, I think it's important to mention that the price is quite high for this type of scooter. Just wanted to give you a heads up!

    FRONT FORK ALREADY BENT..

    My son is only 12 and weighs 170lbs, he used it for a couple of weeks and hit a pot hole and bent the shock which they have supporting the front fork.. now its no good to drive since he cant stear it.. for those of you reading this just do your home work before purchasing it..
