    Do not buy a Segway

    Item gets half the range that’s advertised. External battery still not released! Many parts out of stock. Segway customer service terrible. Do not buy a Segway. You literally can’t even buy brake pads for this thing from their parts department. When you call them you speak to someone in China who barely speaks English does not care and has zero answers.

    I purchased the G3 electric scooter from Best Buy and i have no regrets. I enjoyed riding the scooter also the employees where helpful and friendly that i end up applying for the Best Buy credit card. I'm looking forward Shopping there again.

    Top speed reduces as battery gets lower

    This was a great scooter when the battery was fully charged. But the top speed reduces as the battery gets lower. With it at top speed the range is 25miles if lucky. I found it getting around 20miles. Returned it while I still could since the speed slowdown isnt mentioned in the manual or website.

    It is a nicely built scooter. Purchased for the range it states it has, and even on the lowest speed, it doesn't get half of what it advertises. Returning, most likely. Having looked further into reviews, this is a widespread complaint. I think the range was about 15 miles on the lowest speed, definitely not 50.

    Dangerous

    Poorly constructed does not handle well even at speed of 15. Handle bars are way too long and stick out probably a foot on each side. The scooter has a lot of bells and whistles. It does go 28 miles an hour however you’re going to crash as it has no stability control and poorly. It is also extremely heavy. I hit a pothole in the road going 12 miles an hour, and it completely flipped the scooter. It’s a dangerous scooter, even for the most experienced rider. I would not let your child ride the scooter. In fact, it should be recalled as it is too dangerous.
