Posted .Hi there!, We have technical Support that is dedicated to try to diagnose your unit. We are confident that the ES2-Ns are capable to give out enough torque to run up to maximum speed of 15.5 MPH.

Maybe it can, without a person on it... i weigh 185 pounds and top speed on flat ground is maybe 8 mph. I have to basically walk it up even the smallest incline. Unless you are buying for a child i would say avoid this one and get a higher quality version

Purchased Five and Two of them were Dead

Three of them worked, two of them were completely dead and I'm awaiting an exchange. Pretty surprising to see how many battery issues there are with these units when you have a 40% failure rate. I am hoping the exchanged items work properly!

Out of box failures on 2 of 3 scooters.

It cycle through charging and not charging every few minutes. Then falsely shows it is 100% charged but once you start riding it is only 70% charged and doesn’t run nearly as far as the app says it will go. Example: only goes 5 miles when the app says it will go 10 on a 70% charge. Had to return both. But, then they only sent 1 scooter and a Sonos sound bar. Had to return the sound bar for another scooter. That is going to take 2 weeks to get here. Super lame.

Segway Ninebot ES2

When we received them, one of them did not power on and was not able to be charged. The one that works only goes up to 10 mph. Very disappointing.

They can help you with the scooter that doesn't charge, as well as troubleshoot why the scooter is only going 10 mph. The ES2 was designed to go 15 mies per hour. Battery dead on arrival

Very disappointed that the battery is dead as I opened the box. Troubleshoot and plug in to charge for whole day but still not powering on I am not sure if I should have bought the ES4 with extra battery

Internal battery not working

There an issue with the internal battery. So disappointing!!! I was so excited to try this scooter out and ride it around the city but instead it won’t even turn on. I try reconnecting the handles but nothing worked. I will be sending it back and getting my money back. Maybe I got a lemon but I definitely don’t want to chance it and get a new scooter if I’m having this issue right from the start!

Warranty is a joke.

Contacted customer service and filed a warranty claim. Turned out that I have to pay almost $100 to ship it back for repair. RIDICULOUS!! After a quick google search it looks like the lights problem is a design defect and happens very often. I will not buy any segway products in the future. Poor design and more importantly NOT a responsible manufacture. TL;DR avoid this scooter.

Pathetic battery, even more pathetic customer serv

I'm using the scooter well within the operating specs and taking proper maintenance and still I can go only up to 3 miles (5 km) on full charge, whereas Segway claims the scooter can go up to 25 km. The customer service is also awful as the customer care executive seems to be unqualified to understand my problem, and instead of resolving my issue, all they say is to take proper maintenance and battery should be fine, which clearly isn't.

Not so great

Can't get exchanged, wasted time.

I bought 2, but 1 has an issue with its brake controller not retracting back to neutral position. It won't go forward when the brake is engaged. I tried to get a replacement, but BestBuy simply wasted 2 weeks of my time just to tell me at the time of supposed delivery that it did not arrive or they suddenly no longer have it in stock. Amazon still beats BestBuy on after sale service.
