Comfort Meets Clarity
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've really been putting these earbuds to the test. If you're wondering what they're actually like to use, let me share my honest thoughts. Right from the moment I opened the box, they felt high-end. The all-black design is subtle yet super sleek no flashy logos or odd shapes, just a clean, modern vibe. But what really impressed me was how comfortable they are. Once I put them in, they felt so light and natural, almost like I wasn't wearing anything at all. I had them in for a solid three hours, and honestly, I barely noticed they were there. That's a big win for long listening sessions. Now, let’s talk about the sound. This is where the "open" design really shines, and it’s a total game-changer. As soon as I hit play, I was amazed by how spacious everything sounded. It’s not just sound hitting your ears; it feels like the music wraps around you. I played some Michael Jackson, and I could almost pinpoint where each instrument was located. The separation is fantastic—vocals are clear and centered, the drums have this lovely natural decay, and the guitars just sing. I'm also a huge fan of acoustic music, and these earbuds really excel with it. Every strum of a guitar, every soft breath from a singer, it’s all there, crystal clear. The bass is present and well-defined, not overpowering or booming, which I really appreciate. It’s more about texture and detail than just a heavy thump. The highs are crisp without being harsh, and the mids are rich and full. It creates a beautifully balanced sound that lets the music breathe. Now, let’s be honest about the open design. Sure, they sound incredible, but that openness means sound can leak out, and outside noise can sneak in. I tried using them while my partner was watching TV, and I could definitely hear the show. If you’re in a quiet office, your coworkers will probably catch a glimpse of your tunes, too. So, these are definitely best for your personal listening space—your cozy living room, a dedicated listening area, or maybe a chill home office where you won’t disturb anyone. These earbuds aren’t meant for your daily commute or the hustle and bustle of busy cafes, and that’s perfectly okay because in the right setting, they work wonders. Connecting them was a piece of cake, just a standard Bluetooth setup, no hassle at all. The controls on the earbuds are super intuitive, making it easy to adjust the volume, skip tracks, and take calls without any awkward fumbling. The battery life has been impressive; I find myself charging them far less often than I anticipated, which is always a nice surprise. So, are they right for you? After spending some quality time with them, I can confidently say these earbuds are fantastic for a particular kind of listener. If you value a sound experience that’s incredibly natural, spacious, and detailed, and you usually listen in a quiet environment, you’re going to adore these. They’re comfortable enough for hours of use, they look stylish, and most importantly, they make your music feel truly alive. If you’re ready to dive into the open-ear experience, these are definitely worth a look.

Great Sound, Light Weight, Quick To Charge
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sennheiser now has a set of open ear buds that are oriented for those who are exercise/sports enthusiasts. The open ear design helps to hear sounds around you, but they do not have noise canceling due to the open design. If you are running track, in the gym, or walk/bike along low traffic roads, etc., you may like the open design. Charge Case The charge case is small enough to fit easily in my pocket. The slots in side make it easy to insert and remove the ear buts. The charge case will charge the ear buds each time you insert them and can playback music for about an hour with a short 10 minute charge. Given who this are intended for, that feature is something I like. While out, if the charge gets low on them, I isn’t going to take too long for me to get a reasonable charge on them in as little as 10 minutes. The charge case has a power indicator led on the bottom as well as a USB-C charge port. They come with a short USB-C to USB-A charge cable. The short cable fits easily in my pocket if I need to take it along with me, but the charging case is usually going to be enough for me. Ear Buds The ear buds are very light weight and look good. They are IPX4 rated, so sweating while wearing them isn’t something I’m worried about. Each ear bud has two mics. Calls I’ve has while using them have worked very well. The callers on the other end said they could hear me clearly. During calls, I did not experience any cut out neither did I experience any drop while listening to audio books and music. The sound quality is what I have come to expect from Sennheiser. Sennheiser says I should be able to get up to 6 hrs of playback time out of a charge of the ear buds. I got a little less than that, but it does depend on volume and other settings. The ear buds can pair with up to 8 devices. This is helpful to me because I have two tablets, two phones, an e-ink reader that can play audio books, and 2 laptops. It supports profiles for all of them. It will only playback audio from one device at a time, but that is common with multi-point pairing ear buds or head phones. I was happy to see this support with the Accentum Open ear buds. Another benefit is that the Accentum Open ear buds don’t require an app. You can perform all the controls from the ear buds. Just pair to a device and move on. That’s helpful to simplify getting them connected to a device without fuss. Final Thoughts I like the look and weight of the Accentums. The charge case is straight forward and of solid design. Not having to use an app with them is a big plus. In my use, I have yet to run into any problem with them. Sennheiser has a solid set of ear buds and charge case for sports enthusiasts. I hope to see Sennheiser continue on with the Accentum Open series ear buds. I would recommend considering them if you needs ear buds for exercising or sports activities.

Simple, Compact, Great Sound and Awareness
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This compact and capable TWS headphone is simple to use, provides great sound plus the ability to hear your surroundings whether they are on or off. The case is compact and battery life is quite good. No frills - just great Sennheiser sound in a simple set of “open” headphones. Highlights: * Tiny and lightweight case * Great sound * Can hear through without having to use a Transparency Mode * Comfortable * Good battery life (6hrs in buds, 28hrs with case) * Quick charge of 10 minutes for an hour of use * Multipoint connectivity * Remove to pause * No app Room for Improvement: * No wireless charging - have to plug in * Only status LED is on the bottom by the charging port * No ANC or passive sound blocking * No app for firmware updates or settings True wireless headphones are getting very feature-rich, but in doing so, they add a ton of complexity. While most don’t need apps to work, they almost require them to get the most of the buds. Plus, all of those extra features like Active Noise Cancellation usually necessitate more power and lower battery life. Setup: Unlike many others that may not require an app but highly recommend one for setup, this headset is super simple. Plug the case in to power for at least 15 seconds to “wake them up” from their shipping slumber. Then open the lid and they immediately go into pairing mode. Search for and select them in your mobile device’s Bluetooth settings and that’s it. Keep them plugged in for up to an hour or until the light next to the case’s charging port turns green. That’s it. No need for firmware updates. No settings to change. Just pair and enjoy. Usage: With no app to install, there are also no settings to change and no firmware to update. Put the buds in your ears and they play a short tone signifying that they’re ready to play but you can still hear your surroundings. Tap controls are listed on the included Quick Start guide. Start some music and you’ll be impressed with the sound quality typical of Sennheiser headphones. If you’re looking for a fully immersive experience and ultimate noise blocking; these are not the buds for you. These buds excel at great sound quality while also letting in your surroundings. Other buds have a “transparency mode” that uses their microphones to essentially pick up the outside side and pass that sound back into the earbuds, but that needs to be turned on or off and it uses power when on. These buds do it by not blocking your ears which means that they work this way all the time; sound playing or not. You can hear what’s going on around you blended in with the music, or pause the music and just be able to hear what’s going on without taking the buds out. If you do take them out, though, the music will pause and then resume when you put them back in. The tap gestures are pretty simple to learn and work well. Again, there’s no app to configure them. Instead, they are listed on the printed quick start guide in the box and are relatively similar to most other buds. A single tap on either plays or pauses, double tap on the left to skip back or the right to skip ahead, etc. Each gesture plays a short tone when recognized so you know it got it. Wireless charging is not included but the USB-C charging connector is common and easy enough. A quick charge of 10 minutes should give you about an hour’s playback and full charge can be done in about an hour for about 6 hours of music. Multipoint means that you can pair to up to 8 devices and keep the last two connected at the same time. This is super handy if you pair your phone and either tablet or computer. Expect few frills but these nail what’s important. Overall, these buds are refreshingly simple and effective. They are compact to carry, last a while on a charge, sound great when playing music, and let you remain connected to what’s going on around you even without removing them or turning on a special pass-through mode. If you don’t need buds that isolate you from the world with noise cancellation, then these buds might just be for you.

No app required, just pop and go
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After opening the Accentum box and examining the case and earbuds, I initially thought they felt cheap and plasticky. However, I was completely wrong! The Bluetooth connection was easy, with no problems at all. Once I paired them, I was blown away by how good and clear they sound. I’ve had already forgotten how cheap they felt at first. These earbuds fit nicely in my ears. I was worried they might fall out due to their design, but they didn’t budge. I’ve been using them around the house, and they fit perfectly. I often have issues with earbuds slipping out or falling off when I’m out for a walk, especially when I sweat, but these stay securely in place. It’s worth noting that these are open earbuds, meaning they don’t have noise-canceling features. Personally, that’s not an issue for me, as I like to be aware of my surroundings while wearing earbuds. Another great feature is that there's no need to download any apps, you just pop them in, and they’re ready to go. I appreciate this since I tend to forget about apps and then end up not using them. The controls on the earbuds are straightforward and easy to remember. At a price point of $130, I believe these are worth it, they sound and feel great even after a long period of use. I highly recommend these earbuds, even though I had never heard of this company before. I'm glad I came across such amazing quality.

Sennheiser Great Sound on a Budget!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sennheiser, began in Hanover, Germany, in 1945. 80 years later, Sennheiser is a premiere manufacturer of audio equipment (professional and consumer), including some the best Bluetooth headphones and earbuds money can buy. I currently own Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 and True Wireless 4, two of the best sounding, full featured Bluetooth earbuds out there. Their signature sound is warm and natural, just like the sound engineers heard in the studio. But my TW 3 and 4 are expensive earbuds and there are times when I don’t need to walk around with my best earbuds, yet I still want that characteristic Sennheiser natural and warm sound. So, I was anxious to get the new Accentum Open. These are True Wireless earbuds, which are less expensive than the Momentum line, offers fewer features, like a dedicated app or wireless charging for the case, yet are from Sennheiser. They’re perfect for the gym or outdoor activities. They are perhaps less perfect for noisy environments or places where you want total isolation from outside sounds. Unboxing – Setup – Controls - Specs: The Accemtum Open, come nicely packaged. You get the earbuds, the charging case, a USB A to USB C cable (I would have preferred a USB C to USB C cable), a quick user guide and the requisite safety and compliance documents. Getting started you simply charge them with the supplied USB cable, and the charging case displays the charging status. Yellow - Charging. Green – Charged. Flashing Red - Charging Error. The earbuds have a laundry list of tones to indicate certain statuses, such as Powered Off, Pairing Successful, No Connection, etc. I’m not sure I can remember what all the tones indicate, but you can download a more comprehensive user guide from Sennheiser directly to learn more. Pairing them is straightforward. When you take the earbuds out of the charging case for the first time, they are automatically in pairing mode. Open your smartphone’s settings app to Bluetooth. Insert the buds in your ears and simultaneously touch the right and left earbud touch panel in the stem for 3 seconds until you hear a repetitive melody. They’ll be seen by your smart phone, and you tap there to pair them. If a code is requested, type 0000. You’ll hear two tones once pairing is successful. The Accentum Open has multi-point connectivity, so you can pair them with up to 8 additional devices. To pair them with another device, touch the touch panel on each bud for 3 seconds to put them in pairing mode. The Accentum Open do not have ear tips. They go in your ears more like basic Pods and aren’t designed to go as deep in your ear canal as earbuds with ear tips. They also don’t have Active Noise Cancellation, so you will be more aware of your surroundings wearing these. But they are VERY comfortable and it’s easy to forget they’re in your ears. Keep this in mind though if you’re looking for earbuds which isolate you from your surroundings as these may not be for you. The stems house where you touch to do things like pause the music with a single tap, increase the volume using the right earbud, lowering it with the left earbud, answer, terminate or reject a call, playing the next track or going back to a previous track. It’s intuitive and not unlike most other Bluetooth earbuds. The earbuds offer up to 6.5 hours of play on a single charge, with a total of 28 hours play time through the case. A charge of 10 minutes will give you 1.5 hours of play time. Frequency response is 25 Hz to 15 kHz. That’s not industry leading, but honestly people can’t hear above 15 kHz anyway. In my listening tests, they sound terrific. In terms of Codec, they support the two biggies – AAC on the Apple side and SBC on the Android side. Again, not industry leading, but certainly good enough for earbuds at this price point. In terms of water resistance, they are IPX4, which is splash resistant. And they employ Bluetooth 5.3, so latency isn’t an issue with a range of 10 meters. Sound and Call Quality: Necessary product information is important, but the most important aspect of earbuds is how they sound for music and phone calls. Each earbud has two beam-forming microphones. In terms of call quality, I found them to be very good in a quiet environment. Since they are open, without ANC, speaking on the phone in a noisy environment may be a bit challenging. But the SOUND! The sound is truly Sennheiser all the way. Keep in mind these are mid-range earbuds at an attractive price point. They feature an 11mm transducer (speaker), which is larger and capable of moving more air. Bass is deep and confident. Midrange, where most of the music is like vocals and most instruments is up front and warm. And the highs are crisp, without being sibilant (harsh). When I get new earbuds, I listen to the same music to compare them to other earbuds I own. The range is from Classical, like Camille Saint Sans Organ Symphony to test the bass And Mason Bates Works for Orchestra (Xinjiang Provence is AWESOME!). Libera Boys choir to test not only the human voice, but any harshness and more contemporary music (Rock and Jazz). My thoughts are these are very good sounding earbuds. They aren’t at the level of my more expensive Momentum TW’s. But then they cost about 1/3 the price of Sennheiser premium buds. So I mark these as a great value in being able to enjoy the natural and warm sound of Sennheiser at a more budget friendly price. Good Job Sennheiser. Good Job Indeed!

Initially underwhelmed; now one of my favs!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Despite a few glaring shortcomings, the Accentum Open earbuds have become one of my favorites. The first impression upon unboxing was not great. The charging case feels cheap, and to my hands it’s oddly shaped. While the case looks like it would be easily opened in one hand, it’s not tall enough to be held easily while flipping the top open. To make matters worse, the hinge is placed nearly at the same height as the point where you push the top to open, so you have almost zero leverage. To make matters even worse, once you do get it open, the top is loose and floppy and immediately wants to close on you. Basically, think of this case like a squat two-hander. Don’t bother trying to open this case with one hand. It’s just an exercise in futility. Then there are things I thought were negatives but are actually good design choices, such as the charging indicator placement. It's on the bottom of the case next to the USB port, not the front like literally ever other earbuds I've owned. Initially I thought it was a bad idea, but once I started charging, I realized how brilliant that design is. When the indicator is on the front and the charging port either on the bottom or the back, to check the charge status, I usually end up having to pick up the case and turn it around just because of the way the case ends up positioned while being plugged in. With the Accentum case, having the LED next to the charge port on the bottom means that it almost always ends up in a position where the charge port is easily seen just based on the ergonomics of plugging in the USB plug and setting the earbuds down on the table. It’s a subtle design choice and not really a huge deal, but for a repeated action like charging, it’s one of those things that you end up appreciating more over time. Now for the fit. These earbuds remind me of the old-school plastic Sony wired earbuds, or even the old-school iPod wired earbuds from before the era of ubiquitous silicone ear tips. The Accentum sit in your ear as opposed to being inserted into the ear canal. Of course, this is in keeping with the open design, but it just felt familiar, and I realized how much more comfortable this design is for long-duration listening as opposed to having silicone tips which basically act as earplugs. These can sit in my ears literally all day without issue. As the fit is therefore loose, I expected to have issues with the earbuds falling out of my ears when I leaned over or turned my head, but that didn't happen. They are even quite stable while lying down. I can't side-sleep with them, because they do protrude a bit and will cause hotspots, but I had no issues with lying on my back and having them fall out of my ears. Lastly, I found the sound to be very acceptable. These are open earbuds, so they have to be judged against other open earbuds or even bone-conducting headphones, and on that scale, they're fine. They have a bias towards the mids and highs, and just barely enough low end (less than other open earbuds I own), but anyone looking at open earbuds understands there will be compromises. I find these earbuds ideal for watching YouTube videos, spoken word content, and less ideal for music, although they’re not horrible for that. Given the ease of wear and the acceptable sound, it’s turning out that these earbuds are the ones I have in my ears the most and the longest. They can stay firmly in my ears for hours at a time without getting gross or without causing pain. I will switch to others for noise-cancelling when needed or big, over-the-ear headphones for critical audio work, but the Accentum Opens have become my go-to earbuds for general listening.

Wow - Pleasantly Surprised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have tried several different brands of ear buds, but these take the cake. The earbuds looked a little big, but were surprisingly comfortable and the sound quality on both the sending and receiving ends is great. The earbuds hold a charge for the whole work day instead of losing charge half way through the day. My absolute, hands-down, favorite feature is the seamless switch from listening to music/audio casts to answering calls, and when you take the earbuds out while listening to video, the video pauses until you put them back in! These earbuds are a must-have for the office. All this, on top of quality sound and comfort is outstanding. Thanks for the great earbuds!! Cynthia

One minor shortcoming.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had Sennheiser earbuds previously and truly appreciate the brand’s finely engineered sound quality. This one is consistent with my expectation in this respect. I love subtle cream color and it is extremely user friendly to configure. However, the ergonomics do not quite work as they are not entirely tightly fit, resulting in the occasional falloffs. It is not a huge issue because I would not use it outside of my living space because I had quite a pairs either “accidentally” damaged or stolen.

Perfect Airpods competitors
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One thing to note about these is the obvious similarities to their fruit-based competitors, Airpods. I personally have never owned airpods, but I can certainly tell you a good amount about these buds. 1. Yes, these can honestly be viewed as the "Android" version of Airpods. They're black, use usb-c and can be used with whatever bluetooth device that you want. 2. There is no airtight seal so you can let some sound in, as long as you angle them correctly. Just keep in mind that these do not shape and form fit to your ear. At one angle it can seal up and at another it can let some outside noise in, unfortunately following the "one size fits some" mentality that Airpods have. 3. The case is fairly small and could easily fit into any pocket you need to. 4. The sound is just great, bass heavy when the bud is positioned certain ways and can have excellent clarity when positioned in different ways in your ear. 5. There is no application connection. Which can be good and bad. Good because you don't need to download YET ANOTHER APP just to get these things to work. But Bad because you cannot change the EQ on these, cannot change the tap control combinations and you cannot turn off the pause when not in ear function. I do greatly appreciate Sennheiser not requiring an app for these to simply function, but this is one of the few times where I would want app compatibility for some customizations, or at least a way to turn off certain features through the buds themselves. I would say, just wait for a sale before grabbing these since their regular price is right up there with regular airpods.

Stay aware while staying healthy!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As the owner of a pair of Sennheiser - Momentum 2 True Wireless Noise Cancelling In-Ear Headphones for over 4 years now I was excited to try out these new open IEMs (In Ear Monitors)! I often wore my Momentum 2 IEMs while taking my daily walks and their ANC (Active Noise Cancelling) was fine but...I just did a firmware update on them and they, in effect, turned into a "brick". They no longer work. To the rescue came these wonderful Sennheiser Accentum Open IEMs!! They do not have noise cancelling electronics in them which means I am all the more aware of my surroundings on my walks without having to put a pair of ANC equipped earbuds/IEMs or headphones into "aware" mode! These little beauties are comfortable and easy to pair and they reproduce music quite well. I have a bit of a physical handicap that makes it somewhat difficult to walk without crutches, a cane or a walker but I take almost daily walks because I want to become better than I am and when I walk I very much enjoy listening to music and the Sennheiser Accentum connects flawlessly to my iPhone 16 Pro Max and allows me to listen to the soundtrack of my life while taking my walks to make that life a more healthy one! I can also take and receive calls via the Accentums. I need only say the words, "Hey Siri...Call______" and without fail my iPhone does just that! Touch controls are easy to use once you've accustomed yourself to them but to be honest, I quite often pull my phone from my pocket to answer a call. I listen to music at a very reasonable level and the "open" design of the Accentum allows me to hear what is going on around me and that is very important to me on my walks! Additionally I used them in our home for the same reason - Awareness. To be sure, there are plenty of times ANC is helpful but I got more use out of these on my daily walks than I have from wearing my over-the-ear ANC headphones. These are much easier to use when on my walks as they go into my ears instead on on my ears. It is getting very hot these days and wearing over-the-ear headphones is a real sweaty affair but not with the Sennheiser Accentums. Light, comfortable and more than up to the task of playing my music while letting me hear the world around me means that these IEMs are a fantastic upgrade of sorts for me! The longest I have worn and used them for is just over 4.5 hours and I have no doubt they will last for many more hours than that, especially so given that I do not listen at LOUD levels as I value my hearing and to be honest, I have no need to turn up the volume as the Sennheiser Accentums perform beautifully at the volume level I use for them! As a senior citizen who wants and needs to go walking on a daily basis not only for physical but mental health, I can tell you that these Sennheiser Accentums are just the ticket for me to stay aware while I am working on staying healthy! Highly recommended? Indeed!

Comfortable with great sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Review for Sennheiser ACCENTUM Open Earbuds My old earbuds were losing their ability to keep a charge (they are pretty old!) so the Sennheiser ACCENTUM Open Earbuds seemed like a great opportunity to improve on them. They’re lightweight and SO comfortable in my ears that I can forget I’m wearing them. A big improvement over my older pair is that they can pair with up to eight different devices. Eight is probably more than I’ll ever need, but I have to say, it’s such a pleasure to be able to switch between my phone and my tablet without first having to disconnect the other device. This may not seem like a big deal, but when I’m all ready to go out for a walk or a run and I have to mess with the device I’m NOT carrying, well, it saves a lot of frustration. The case is also a charger, so just putting the earbuds away turns them off and keeps them charged. There’s no app required and the controls for using them are the most intuitive I’ve seen. Each bud has a touch panel on it (no buttons to push while they’re in my ears). Touch either bud to play or stop my music. Hold the left touch panel to lower the volume, the right one to raise it. Get it? L to lower; R to raise! Simple, but also easy to remember. Phone calls are also very straightforward. When I get a call, the music pauses and I can touch once to take the call, twice to reject it. Which brings me to the audio quality of these buds. When I make calls with them, I get comments like “such clear audio,” and “are you at home?” (When I was outside walking with traffic going by!) The same is true for playing music - the Sennheiser reputation for excellent sound quality shines through. I can’t believe the deep bass and treble produced by these earbuds. The sound is very true and realistic

Nice earbuds!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a fan of Sennheiser headphones for many years. My first over the ear pair was probably 30+ years ago and I loved them with my iPod music on planes and the noise cancelling was great! I hate to say, but I still take those and my iPod on the plane and they still work wonderfully! These are no different! They are wonderful! The sound quality is great as expected and the buds are comfortable in my ear. I don’t wear them for a long period of time because most earbuds start hurting over time. Sometimes I feel like the earbuds get loose and feel like they may fall out. That is a little bit irritating, but I just figure that is the size and shape of my ear canal versus other people. The controls are easy with controls on both of the ear buds. The left lowers the volume, fast backwards, and play/pause. The right increases the volume, fast forward, and play/pause. Either bud will answer or hang up a phone call. Overall a nice pair of buds with good quality sound and are comfortable.

Amazing headphones from Sennheiser!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been an avid headphones user since I was a teenager, and as an adult, I still prefer to use them over speakers. Because of this, I consider myself fairly knowledgeable about what makes a pair of headphones special. Having spent some time with the Sennheiser Accentum Open earbuds, I can confidently say that these are in the “special” category. While it seems there is no shortage of earbud-type headphones these days, Sennheiser has managed to create a pair that offers great features, combined with exceptional sound quality. These headphones charge in their compact case, and slide into their slots perfectly with the aid of magnets. The sides of the earbuds (the piece that sticks out from your ear) are a touch pad, meaning you can control your media and phone calls from each earbud. Additionally, each earbud has a microphone, meaning you'll always be heard on the other end of a phone call. The Accentum Open model sits in your ear, and I found it to be much more comfortable than options that use silicone or foam ear tips. This design also allows you to hear what’s going on around you, which is great when you’re wearing these in situations where spatial awareness is important. That being said, these headphones have no noise cancellation, so if that’s important, you may want to look somewhere else. As for sound quality, these are simply incredible. I’ve been listening to lots of music with these, everything from hip-hop to rock, classical to electronic, and all genres sound phenomenal. There is plenty of bass, and it’s controlled and not muddy. The mid-range is above average, which I’ve noticed is a theme with other Sennheiser headphones. And the treble is bright and clear, but not fatiguing, which can happen with poor sound quality. Overall, I've been extremely impressed with how well these sound, which makes me want to listen to even more music. The touch pad features work great, and phone calls sound clear on the Sennheiser Accentum Open. With the charging case, you can expect to get over 25 hours of use, which is a long time in my book. The case uses (and comes with) a USB-C charging cable, which means it’s pretty well integrated with most modern technology. At the end of the day, I simply can’t find a fault with these headphones. Sennheiser has created a set that I will gladly wear, and I really don’t prefer to wear earbud-type headphones. These are incredibly comfortable, have useful features, and boast an amazing sound quality. Because of those facts, I have to say that the Sennheiser Accentum Open earbuds are a rather special set of headphones. Final Score: 5 Stars!

Excellent, superb sound and clarity, no app requir
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Packaging for these ear buds is very efficient to the point; using only packing materials and packing needed to get these into your hands making it environmentally friendly and recyclable. These will need to have an initial charge placed on them, please note no charger is included as they meet the industry standard of USB-C and are compatible with all chargers in use today. The battery charging case to store these in is sleek and design friendly to not take up too much space in you pocket and slide easily in/out when needed. The earbuds themselves and very nice and ear friendly, making them very comfortable to wear. The initial intro gives you the sound you’d expect from Sennheiser. The audio is very nice and sharp, clean and clear from music follow depth to conversation pieces. We have all gotten used to needing to have an app for this and an app for that, especially the various types of ear phones/buds. Guess what? No app is needed, just connect via Bluetooth and go. The main instructions are clear and easy to follow to get started with use and operation of the ear buds. The charge on these lasts quite a while with full daily use. Highly recommend these for audiophiles and others looking for a nice easy to use ear set.

Great Sound for a Very Particular Kind of Listener
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first day I spent with the Accentum earbuds was, admittedly, quite stressful. You see, I have somewhat weird ear canals and a history of being very easily distracted. I am very used to having earbuds suddenly drop out of place until I manage to figure out what the best cushion to use is. These, however, have no cushions. They are held in your ear with nothing more than friction and positive feelings. And while I am aware that many have gotten used to this with earbuds from other brands I have never trusted myself with those, and spent roughly six hours waiting for them to suddenly fall out and get stepped on. Much to my surprise, however, they did not. Sennheiser appears to have performed some kind of engineering wizardry to make these smooth plastic pods perfectly balanced so that they actually stay where you put them - which seems to be something they are quite good at. Simply put, these things sound a lot better than most things this small can manage. Audio is remarkably clear and has a surprisingly good range in both directions, making them a pleasure to use regardless of what kind of content you may be listening to at the moment. What's more, they're simple in a way that very few things today are. It was actually a little confusing when I first paired them to my phone and wasn't prompted to immediately install a companion app and create an account. Setup is literally nothing more than pulling them out and clicking a few buttons to run through the pairing process. Granted, there are some downsides here. No app means no options for tuning the audio to meet your personal preferences, so you're basically going to have to stick with the sound profile Sennheiser picked for you. You also won't find features like active noise cancellation, and the touch controls are quite basic and so far as I can tell probably unconfigurable. I didn't find myself missing any of this while sitting at home or walking around the neighborhood, but I imagine there are a lot of people who, say, regularly commute by train that would consider this to be an immediate dealbreaker. These are basically earbuds for the audiophile luddite community - which I understand is surprisingly large these days. So you might want to be aware of that before deciding if these are the right pick for you.

Another great pair of Sennheiser high tech earbuds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sennheiser ACCENTUM Open Black – Black earbuds surprised me from the start of removing them from its charging case. Looking at the instructions, I could not find a QR code or web address to install complementary software. After opening up all QR codes and the web address, I realized these earbuds do not require an app to install on my phone. I simply turned on my phones Bluetooth, took the earbuds out of their case and tapped ACCENTUM on my phone screen and paired them immediately. I can control all of the functions these earbuds offer simply by pressing the right or left earbud one time, two times, three times, or a long press. I can control volume, play/pause, forward track, reverse track, answer calls, hang up, and reject calls from tapping the earbuds. When I take one earbud out of my ear, it pauses my phone from playing music. The sound is clear and reaches all octaves to provide the best sound possible. I can hear my music and still hear sounds from my surrounding area for maintaining awareness. The Sennheiser ACCENTUM Open Black – Black are a good pair of earbuds with a charging case included for continuous music and communications.
