Won’t stay in my ears!

Small but mighty!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1st be sure to download the app so you can truly experience the audio quality's of the buds. I love the look and feel, the fit is nice and don't get uncomfortable over time. The tap controls work great once you read the directions, and not having buttons is much better. Overall for me I didn't need to change out the ear pieces and ran them as they were shipped. They charged up quickly and seem to last forever. I was blown away with how clean and crisp these sound. It always amazes me how they can make such small speakers sound so awesome! Phone calls are great as well. These are my new go to buds and seem like they will stand the test of time and abuse I have been putting them through. My job is primarily in the elements so if they can hang with me they should be fine for anyone. You won't go wrong with these.

Pretty Good wireless earbuds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sennheiser CX 400BT wireless earbuds have a pretty good sound for their size. Audio is crisp and clear and works good for calls too. They were very easy to pair to my phone. I'm not a fan of the touch controls with these earbuds, as I find them to be too sensitive and not intuitive. When removing one from my ear, I barely touch the thing and it is tying to open my phone assistant program. Battery life is decent and they charge relatively quickly. I really appreciated the many size options for the buds too. If you're looking for wireless earbuds in the $200 range I think these are a pretty good option.

Sennheiser CX400TW1
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are my first set of truly wireless earbuds and I've given them over a week before writing this review. Below is a pros/cons list, with more details. Pros: Sound quality Battery life Durability Ease of use Charging case Cons: Control tapping is very sensitive for large hands/fingers Short USB charging cable The sound quality of these earbuds is amazing and the Smart Control app allows you to fine-tune your EQ settings by adjusting bass, mids, and treble. The earbuds feel sturdy enough to take on some abuse, but I wouldn't recommend intentionally doing this. I was able to get great battery life out of the week and I still have charge left. Transitioning to the wireless earbuds took some getting used to, but it's going to be hard to go back to ones with a wire. The tap controls are very simple to use and it's nothing too complicated. I noticed when pausing that there's a slight delay, but I don't have anything else to compare this to. One con (for me) is that I have large hands/fingers, so I've been accidentally pausing my music or videos when trying to adjust these in my ear. This is something I'll have to get used to with practice over time. The charging/storage case for these earbuds is thick plastic. The case isn't too small or too large, making it easy to carry with you. The earbuds connect inside the case magnetically and snap into place. I haven't had any issues with these not going into the case correctly. The lid also snaps when lifting and closing. The USB charging cable is short and I wish it were a little bit longer. You might have to charge these on the floor or prop them up if using a wall outlet in your kitchen. Your mileage may vary on this. Overall I am ecstatic about these earbuds. I have never had to question the quality of Sennheiser audio before and these definitely don't disappoint. My gripes with these may be few and far between, but definitely don't diminish my experience of using them. I also love the look of them compared to other truly wireless earbuds.

A pleasant surprise
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have more than a few choices laying around the house when I go looking for Bluetooth wireless earbuds. When the opportunity came up to try this Senneiser model I decided the brand name alone made them worth a listen. Right out of the box i was pleased by how painless the pairing process was for this product. The voice in my ears (with a British accent) let me know what was going on and in barely two seconds i was up and running. This may not sound like much but compared to other products I’ve tried it’s a huge win. Then I got to listen and the pleasant surprises continued. Audio is clear, full range, and louder than most wireless earbuds I’ve used in the past. The carrying case holds a charge of its own, making things easier for trips where you don’t want to have to travel with a bunch of chargers. All in all I can say these live up to the Sennheiser name and are worth picking up if you want an alternative to the most popular models with a focus on sound quality and ease of use.

Very Nice Sound Overall
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned many different BT true wireless earbuds over the last few years ranging from cheap 50 dollar ones to more expensive 300 dollar units as I am always on the search for high quality sound. Unboxing - Small package size and the buds arrived fully charged in the case. In the box are the buds and case, user manual, a charge cable (approximately 7 inches long) and different sized ear tips (all rubber, no comply foam). Start-up - Really rather simple process. The user manual said that I should hold both earbuds for three seconds to enable BT pairing mode but for me, as soon as I put them in my ears, they entered pairing mode. Simply had to BT search for them and connected within 5 seconds. Then I downloaded the Sennheiser app on the phone and the app recognized the earbuds immediately. Sound and operation - Out of the box these sounded just OK but when I played around with the equalizer settings on the app, I could tweak it to my liking. Two ways to get the sound you want - one with a graph grid where you move the small dot around the graph to inc/dec base, treble highs lows etc. The second method is by manual control of the eq settings. I did not mind the easier graph grid so I stuck with that. Of course, sound is highly personal and subjective but I feel that most everyone will find an eq position they enjoy. The touch controls on the earbuds are easy to operate and after just a few minutes were fully understood. Calls sounded excellent and my wife said she could understand me perfectly on her end. Volume was sufficient and I did not even come close to max volume. Battery life - on par with other ear buds of this quality and the charging case is very small - easily fits in my pocket. The only negatives I see here are more personal as I love to use these kinds of buds for workouts and they are not water or sweat resistant (that I can see). I will use them for workouts and see if they hold up. They also did not come with the way more comfortable comply tips that other high end earbuds come with. The enclosed tips feel a bit lower quality to me. All in all I like these earbuds but I feel the price is a bit high for what you get (and don't get with the sweat resistance). I feel these would fit in around the 125-dollar range or so. Hope this helps.

Great Sound, Great Fit
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't let the rather pain box fool you, these earbuds are excellent. The sound is amazing, though these don't let a lot of street sounds through. This is great for the gym, but I only wear one earbud if I'm jogging, as you can't hear any background noise. That said, they sound great, with good bass and highs, neither sounding distorted. These fit snugly in your ear, and even with jogging or playing golf, they don't come out. They have a GREAT battery life, and the charging case can recharge them for you.

Best Sounding Earbuds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'd heard that Sennheiser has some of the best sounding earbuds and headphones out there, but this is my first experience with the brand. There Sennheiser CX 400BT are really the best sounding earbuds that I have ever had. I've had Bose, Jabra, Skullcandy, JBL and others. While many have great sound, these Sennheiser earbuds just have something that make them clearer and there sound more distinct (voice, bass, treble, etc.). I hear sounds that I didn't know were there in songs that I've been listening to since a I was a child. Sound and comfort are the two most important thing in earbuds, and these are extremely comfortable. I just put them in and a little twist and they're in place. They stay in place and I reach up to adjust them very infrequently. The touch controls are great, and since the touch area is on the side of the buds, you can adjust them without accidentally pausing. I've had that issue with other earbuds. The controls work every time, and I edited the right bud one tap control to be play/pause. It comes programmed as voice assistant, but I wouldn't ever use it. So that's another great thing, that you can change the tap controls. The 3 tap program is empty and on the left bud tapping once is pause and twice will skip back. Tap and hold is volume down. On the right, one tap is voice assistant (which I changed), two skips ahead a dong and tap and hold is volume up. Very intuitive and if not, you can change it. Call quality is great, and they have a required feature for me, that the call goes through both earbuds. I work in a cubicle and need to walk outside to make phone calls and with sound in only one earbud there's a lot of noise. Having the call in both let's me hear. I would highly recommend these earbuds. They're the best sounding that I've ever had and really make listening to music very enjoyable.

Earbud issue
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first this product worked wonderfully. But after five months of normal use, not using for work outs or anything that involves sweating, the right earbud no longer provides consistent sound. When it does play audio it is more of a crackle than anything else and seems to have an internal wiring issue. The left earbud works as intended but you can’t use the left earbud without the right one being out of the charging case. I am quite disappointed with this product but glad I purchased it on sale but still not impressed.

Impressive sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used several different earbuds at different price levels, and these blew me away. The clarity of the sound is at a whole different level -- when I used the equalizer features of the app, I realized that I'm not tuning them to filter out the most distorted version of sound, but I'm adjusting them to personal preference. Listening to the same song over the whole range of equalizer settings, at full volume, I just couldn't get distorted sound. The bass is clean with some amount of thump, the midrange is clear and I can pick out individual instruments, and the treble isn't grating, scratchy, or otherwise offensive. After listening to a few hours of a spectrum of different music styles, I found that these earbuds were consistently great. I can use the right earbud by itself for web conferencing, and the noise reduction behaved pretty well. The earbuds come with several different ear plug sizes, so be sure to experiment. I went with the large ones, and the difference from the medium ones was dramatic. Get these. They are really good.

Not completely wireless
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First I want to air out my biggest issue with these ear buds, which is I can't charge them with a wireless charger the same way I can with airpods. In addition, the battery life is nothing to brag about at 20 hours total when using the charging case for supplemental charges. Lastly, I've grown accustomed to active noise cancelling headphones so if you want something to that effect then these are not the best fit for you. Now let's move on to the good, if you like the Sennheiser sound signature then you will enjoy these earbuds. People talk about the "Sennheiser veil" a lot and you are kept in that veil with these earbuds. Each earbud has a touch sensitive square surface akin to most smart phones. You control bluetooth pairing, pause, volume up/down, and skip functions using a variety of taps on the ear buds. This is where things get interesting, as I have issues with most earbuds that don't have an ear-hook. I found myself having more issues with these earbuds due to me tapping on them and breaking they had with my ear which was keeping them in place. Again, I have always had issues with earbuds falling out and these are no different. The carrying case top is flimsy and i feel like an unintended twisting motion will break the top off since it doesn't click or lock into place. If you don't have the same earbud issues I have, want minimalistic earbuds with excellent sound then you'll enjoy this set. However, the lack of wireless charging, the average battery life, and the flimsy case top make me want to look elsewhere.

Good wireless earbuds but lacks some polish
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sennheiser a name audiophile's know well for their expert quality in audio products. This is my first time using a product by them and I'm not blown away. For the record not an audiophile. Simple packaging but not frustration free they were packed so tightly in the cardboard i had to cut them out with a utility knife. Case is very small and charges with a USB-c cable which is included (USB-a to USB-c). No wall plug included. Connection to my iPhone was simple enough if you've had one pair of Bluetooth earbuds its all pretty much the same for connection procedures. For my comparison I am using the Sony WF-1000XM3. These are similar priced. The Sony's sound much more vibrant and have state of the art noise cancellation, the CX 400BT do not advertise any noise cancellation. The Smart Control app for the Sennheiser's is very lacking and doesn't let you do a whole lot compared to Sony's app. You can configure the buttons of the headset but that's about it. Battery life the Sennheiser's are amazing at around 9 hr before needing a charge. They charge up fast about 3 hr from dead to full. 15 min will easily get you another 60-90 min of use. Sony's battery life is very lacking at around 3-4 hrs of real time usage for me. This is all while jamming out to spotify all day. I do like the Sennheiser's but I think they are priced high for what they offer compared to the competition. I was expecting to be blown away by their audio qualities but the audio quality is low on the reason I use them. Battery life is the main reason I like these I can put them in for 8 hr shift at work and never have to listen them tell me they need to charge soon. At their MSRP I think there are better buys out there, that said I feel solid about my 4/5 star rating.

They don’t stay in my ears. Easily lost forever.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These things are trash. I was afraid I would lose them three seconds after I put them on. Today, the right ear finally fell out where I can’t find it. Now the left one is useless. This is such a trash design. And now that I have to buy new headphones, a complete waste of money.
