Otherwise, these sound pretty rough honestly. They do need a bit of power. They'll run on a laptop output but won't be at their best. The good news is the receive EQ REALLY well. You can make them sound as good as anything. Even a fair amount of bass (there are better options but it's serviceable).

For gaming and music listening - boring. I liked the size of these and they were the most comfortable headphones I tried. Still made my head uncomfortable in about an hour. Sound quality is decent but at this point, you're not getting anything you won't get from more convenient wireless headphones. This is just okay and the flat neutral sound makes it very boring. Overall, these are decent headphones but not as good as people claim.

However, no amount of equalizer adjusting seems to tamp down the shrillness of the treble nor bring out the sub-bass. Headphones are described as audiophile, but unfortunately I dont hear it.

I figured, “okay I got a return, and someone didn’t put it back in the box.” I returned it to the store and got a brand new one, opened it there at the sales desk, and no adapter. False advertising on Sennheisers part.
