If you are a gamer...
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.and you are not in need of a headset mic then this is the product for you. In fact this is such a good all around headphone that it can be used for anything; music, movies, games etc. Sennheiser makes some of the best audio products. Prior to this I was using the PC38X. I still love that gaming headset and I use it for conference calls because of the mic. The HD560S however has better sound stage and imaging. I love the audio from Rage 2. When playing that game I can hear the water dripping in the sewers. These EQ well. I found the bass a little lacking. By just adjusting some EQ it took me a couple of seconds to get the perfect sound. Mids and highs are excellent out of the box. Lastly, the notorious Sennheiser clamping force. Sennheiser's always tend to be a little tight around the head. These are the tightest pair of headphones I own. I definitely like a little clamp, but these are a little more than I would desire. I've returned headphones in the past for being too loose so clamping is important. The force on these are not a deal breaker, but if you tend to have a large head than be aware. These are super light weight and made out of plastic so I'm not sure if stretching them out can crack them. Overall I love these headphones. For what you are getting at this price point I have nothing but positive things to say about these. I highly recommend.

Incredible Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are hands down the best sounding headphones I have ever owned. I am primarily using them to game and listen to music on my desktop. I paired them with my Creative SoundBlasterX G6 DAC. Sound is crisp, they do have good bass, I know they are monitor studio quality headphones and are supposed to have a neutral sound however these headphones are very dynamic. Definitely recommended these for Gaming and high quality lossless audio.

Very comfortable but flat, needs good sound source
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried so many headphones to find ones with great sound quality that don't cause headaches, pain from wearing glasses or overheated ears. I have a ridge on top of my skull, and cannot wear headphones unless they have an indent like these or a band. Additionally, I have fibromyalgia and a weak neck, and can't use headphones that weigh much more than 8oz. If headphones are too tight, then my glasses push into my temple. These open-back headphones fit the bill for all of these things. They are exceptionally comfortable. My husband was concerned that the sound from the headphones would bother him while trying to sleep. This has not been the case at all. Neither of us can even hear them unless wearing them. I initially tried these by plugging them into my stereo, and they sounded great. I was disappointed though with the sound from my computer, but then I learned that you really need a DAC/amp for these headphones, or at least the free FxSound software. I was happy with FxSound, but my audiophile friend convinced me to get a iFi Zen DAC v3. Using this with PowerMatch turned on was a game changer. Pairing the iFi DAC with the iFi Zen Can 3 and listening to the highest quality Tidal tracks was absolute music nirvana.

Perfect headphones for musicians.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Audiophiles have their needs in headphones, but musicians have specific needs, too. Headphones need to sound good, but they need to sound revealing. In 2020, many of us have found that we need to play at home a lot more and can't turn up as much as we used to be able to, which means practicing through headphones is more important than ever. For musicians, headphones need to be comfortable, faithful, and present, and they need to interface well with gear. The HD 560S does all those things. My Roland FP-90 digital piano has very picky headphone outputs that make even nice headphones sound really poor, and this is the only headphone out of about 7-8 pairs I've tried that actually sounds good plugged into it. It seems to have no trouble with any source, whether it be practice guitar amps, a built-in headphone output, or my Audient EVO 8. The sound is not flattering for the sake of it, but it will sound good if your source is good. There's enough treble to get ASMR tingles, but not too much to where electronic music would be painful. There's definitely enough detail here to mix with, and the stereo imaging is excellent. If you get your sound good in these headphones, it will sound good on most headphones or speakers. I've always felt that open headphones in the past were easier to listen to, but that closed headphones were punchier and more exciting and therefore better to play instruments through. These headphones are different; they are punchy enough to help you feel all the extreme dynamics of a digital piano or a virtual drum set and dish it out. Very impressed.

Great headphones within its price range!
|Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.[Employee of bestbuy] It's not often that I put on headphones and it sounds amazing right off the bat. It usually takes time for me to break in new headphones but I was amazed to see that everything sounded so clear and just simply amazing when using these headphones. Amongst my 4 headphones in my current collection, this definitely would become a favorite of mine to use often. Clamping is a little tight at first but gets better overtime with use, the headphones started getting more comfortable within the second day of using these. Would definitely recommend picking this up ASAP!

I'm a music snob now?
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have never purchased a pair of "audiophile" headphones before; I've only had Beats, Bose, various "high-end" gaming headsets, but all of those pale in comparison to these. I've never experienced music like I am with the HD560s, especially now that I have paired these with the Audio-Quest Dragon-Fly Red USB DAC. I subscribed to Tidal music and am listening to music in lossless format which has made me appreciate songs that I never thought twice about listening to. These headphones will allow you to pry into the world of music creation and determine whether or not songs were actually mixed and mastered well. Songs I once loved I can no longer listen to with these because I can actually hear how badly they were made. The opposite of that is also true, where there are tracks that I never really cared for but these headphones have given me an appreciation for just how well they were done. I can't believe how amazing music sounds now. I can finally understand why people would consider themselves to be audiophiles. I haven't listened to music this frequently since I was in college, and that was nearly a decade ago. It is like seeing for the first time, a breathtaking experience that I am so happy to be able to have. Buy a headphone amp, buy these headphones, and listen to music in a lossless quality format. It will change your appreciation for music - I guarantee it. Headphones this inexpensive shouldn't sound this good. They are crystal clear. They are comfortable. They are INCREDIBLE.

Great all around headphones
|Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.[Employee of bestbuy] Great set of headphones. Perfect match to my DAC/Headphone amp. Good bass, excellent mids and highs. Comfortable to wear for extended periods. My second pair of Sennheiser headphones and they never disappoint. I have several quality headphones from Beyer Dynamic, Yamaha, Meze, Sony, etc. and you just can't go wrong with Sennheiser HD 5xx series.

Amazing studio headphones for the price
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like many people, I’ve ended up with a lot of headphones. For pure listening in a quiet environment, music or videos, the HD 560S is easily my go-to set. First, the build. Yes, they’re made of plastic and, no, they don’t fold for storage or travel. Still the plastic makes them lightweight and, while not luxurious, they do not feel cheap in any way. They come with a long cable. Like, really long. Like, long enough to trip over when you move. I pulled out just what I needed and left the rest wrapped up, but someday I’ll probably have to get a shorter replacement. And that takes us to the sound. This is the reason the 560S was made. The sound is simply remarkable, every sound, every note, is heard with clarity and precision. This includes the music you were supposed to hear as well as the sound of a bow hitting a muted string or someone in the studio covering a cough. The open air design gives them a very wide soundstage. It doesn’t sound so much like you’re listening to a recording as it does like you’re surrounded by instruments. The effect when watching movies can be startling, as that car that pass3 doesn’t just move from left to right, it seems headed right out of the room. This would be the place to mention that if you like headphones that color the sound, like Bose or Beats or most any consumer model, then you’ll probably hate these. They’re not designed to give you a specific listening experience, but to bring out what was recorded with complete and uncompromising accuracy.

Sound great, satisfied.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very satisfied, great sounding, fit great around entire ear and does not become uncomfortable. Note, these headphones do not cut off outside sounds, they actually allow you to continue to naturally hear outside noise with only a very slight decrease. I like this feature.

I'm a sound designer. These are incredible.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I sound design for games and these are easily the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn, I wear them all day with no issues at all. They breathe very well and the ear pads are very soft and comfortable, and they are very light, and sound like you are listening to studio monitors in a treated room, and sometimes I even forget that I am wearing these instead of using my studio monitors... They have a beautiful sound stage, mixing is very easy with these headphones because everything has an identifiable place in space. They have an honest frequency response and everything sounds flat across the whole spectrum. They are open back so you can CLEARLY hear everything around you, which may be difficult for you if you are not in a quiet space. They have a very clean, but SUBTLE bass response that is not overpowering which is good for designing and mixing. Just FYI, these headphones do not push heavy bass like a lot of other consumer headphones do, so if that is what you want these are not the right tool for you. 10/10 would absolutely buy them again, THEY SOUND ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE.

simply the best for gaming PERIOD!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i bought these to compare to my acrtis wirelss pro headset. this headset is 100% better in every aspect. i can hear details much more clearer and its much more obvious than the arctis are. they also get much much louder as well. it is very easy to pick out certain sounds as these separate everything the best ive ever heard. the arctis seem everything is much more smashed together. footsteps are much easier to pick out. in escape from tarkov for example. i can hear the leaves on trees and bushes in the wind. the arctis is not anywhere near as clear or obvious when this happens. you cant even hear them on the arctis. when listening to music my god there is no comparison. the sennheisers are far superior by far. i now understand why everyone says these are amazing. they are def the best by far hands down. ive tried many headsets as well btw. these are the superior option hands down. buy them and try them you wont be disappointed i guarantee it. another nice thing is they are ultra light and extremely comfortable. the quality seems very high on these even though they are made of plastic. it is def a very durable plastic though you can simply tell. i love them and will buy another set if mine fail w no hesitation. especially considering these are 100+ dollars cheaper than other headsets.

Great Sound and Comfort
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to purchase a pair of high quality wired headphones for my mixer/gaming station, but I was skeptical about spending several hundred for the super hi-fi headphones like Sony or Senheiser makes. I came across these entry level headphones on sale, and decided to give them a try. I was initially a little disappointed that they felt a little cheap - with plastic parts and felt ear cups. However, once I started listening to music or playing games with these, I was immediately impressed. The sound feels like it comes from all around you, and there is a nice balance of bass (maybe not the most for some people who like it really heavy) that blends really well with the rest of the music. They were also great for gaming and let me hear footsteps and sounds that I didn't hear with even my other Bose headphones. After gaming and listening for several hours, I was surprised at how I almost forgot I was wearing them. The cheap feel that I initially thought, turned into extreme comfort over extended periods. The felt-like ear cups also didn't get hot and the headband did not dig into my head like some other headphones. It's obvious that the plastic material was a decision based on weight and comfort, and is in fact quite durable. They are not built to be sound cancelling, nor do they block all outside sound, but this adds to the comfort and longevity for use - I find that noise cancelling makes me sick and I don't like walking away from listening to headphones with my ears ringing from headphones that don't have a balance between outside/inside sounds. Overall, I Highly recommend these based on the overall sound quality and comfort. My only drawback is that there is not a replaceable/detachable cord.
