These are awesome headphones for the price and from my personal opinion, you won't find anything better for less then $100. Plus the cushions and headband can be replaced after you put your wear and tear on them.

If you are looking for headphones for studio use, these may be for you. If not, I would pass. The sound is adequate, but not great. I listen mainly to classical music and the string sound produced by these is kind of thin (like the old transistor radio sound) and lacks body. Also, they sound a little weak in bass and detail in the low frequencies is not very impressive. Even more of a problem is the sheer bulk of these big goofy looking headphones. If you are thinking of using these at work, know that they will look awfully big on your head. The black coiled chord is the old Bell Telephone sort, so heavy that it can pull an ipod off a table, or cause the headphones to tilt to one side if you wear them while walking around. The sound is not good enough to justify the antiquated physical design, which needs to be updated.

its definitely not for mp3 players..they simply do not put out enough power to move these. It sounds like the headphones are eq'd to roll off low frequencies. Im not getting as much bass from them as I can from my AKG headphones or Beats (yes I know they are battery assisted; just for comparison's sake)
Im using them for live applications since I normally dont like a bass heavy mix because it makes it harder to hear other instruments.

I bought these to replace a set of Sony MDR-V600 headphones I used in my studio for years. These headphones are really junk, I don't reccomend them unless your into wasting money. After using these I ordered a new set of MDR-600's and highly reccomend them, they are also only 69.00 bucks what a steal for are really high quality studio monitor set of headphones.
