Beat the SONY XM6 in my comparison

Bought these side by side with the SONY XM6 to compare. Out of the box (no tweaking) the Sony’s sound better, BUT Can get these to sound better than the Sony XM6 with a little EQ tweaking(a lot more room to mold on the sennheisers) Invest in an EQ APP (or use IN APP EQ) and tidal for best sound quality.(I use BOOM) Bass is a lot more clean sounding on these than the Sony XM6 (those were muddier and more commercial sounding) and I feel these sound louder once tweaked. (I felt like the Sony didn’t allow me to mold to my liking as much as these) Only thing that isn’t out of this world impressive on the sennheiser is the noise canceling/transperency (apple AirPods Max is still better than both of these in my opinion) but they are still good enough to make the music sound crisp. Ended up returning the Sony and kept these. Obvious price difference and Sony’s “better active noise canceling)wasn’t worth the price bump in my book:

These cans are just amazing. I’ve had every premium wireless headphones (airpods max, sony xm5, shure aonic 50, bose 700). For $349, there is no brand even this close in terms of sennheiser’s sound quality. Additionally, these headphones are super lightweight and look and feel premium. And cherry on the cake - 60 HOURS Battery life.

(Full Disclosure: I got my headphones on sale + through the “open box” program. If you havent explored tech in the “excellent” condition through Best Buy, I recommend you check it out) The Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless headphones are absolutely outstanding! They integrate seamlessly with my Apple devices, making switching between them effortless. While the app is handy for fine-tuning, I don’t find myself needing it often because they perform so well out of the box. The touch controls on the headphones are responsive and intuitive, though it takes a moment to memorize all the gestures. The sound quality is superb—easily the best I’ve experienced in wireless headphones. They’re also incredibly comfortable, even for long sessions, with ear cups that fit my larger ears perfectly. Transparency mode is excellent for staying aware of my surroundings, and the headphones work great for calls too. I primarily use them for music and staying focused, and they never disappoint. Highly recommend these for anyone looking for premium wireless headphones!

I am long time fan of Sennheiser over ear headphones, so I was excited to see these hit the shelves. The build quality is great, the ear pads could not be more comfortable, and they hug my head nicely. Sound is great, it is Sennheiser after all, an old reliable brand in the headphone market; and the noice-cancellation was good for an over-the-ear style, although it can not compare to newer in-ear bud noice-cancellation options. Battery life is incredible. So why the low rating? They are extremely annoying to use! The touch interface is a TERRIBLE design, made worse by how it has been implemented on this device. When I lead my head from side to side any contact with shoulder will trigger the play/pause controls, even through my shirt! Readjusting the headphones, which happens often with big over the ear sets like these, triggers the auto-sense play/pause over and over while listening, and sometimes other controls due to the touch interface triggering. I attempted to see if I could disable or configure some of these settings to be less annoying, however no such settings exist. Aside from that I did experience a small issue with pairing via the app, as others have noted, although restarting the app fixed the problem. My bar is so low for device specific apps that I am happy if they work at all, which this app did, I just wish it offered more control over the touch sensitivity, gestures, and auto-sensing activity.

I enjoy the fit and comfort. I am handicapped and wear them for expended periods. The battery life is as advertised. It's great to go days without recharging. Sound is great. Now the bad part to me....the touch controls are lousy...I just can't get them to do what I want when I want. Works great for phone call and playing audio from phone. Pairs easily with my tv and phone at same time. Others I've had do one or the other . But with these I always know I have call. Other than touch controls this a good buy.

The Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless offer high sound quality, comfort, and long runtime, making them an attractive choice for music lovers. However, potential buyers should be aware of possible connectivity issues. Maybe when the update comes out, the problem will be sorted out

I bought these specifically for a 4 leg 33 hour flight and was pleased with their performance. The cabin noise reduction was excellent. The touch controls worked as advertised. The sound quality from the aircraft entertainment system was acceptable given the source, and multiples better than the ear plugs handed out on board. Installation of the phone app was straightforward and easily accomplished. The connection was dropped one time, so far, and had to be restored by deleting the device and repairing. I trust that does not become a regular occurrence. I have used the headset in wired mode almost exclusively so far though the few times on wireless were completely satisfactory. I am not an audiophile and have some hearing loss so will leave comments regarding audio fidelity to others.

The comfort of the momentum 4s are significantly more comfortable than Sony's offerings, particularly with glasses. Sound signature is cleaner than the xm5s, punchier bass, and overall brighter but definitely not fatiguing. The battery life is also insanely long. I do have to charge every 4-5 days simply because i leave them on all night and use them for over 8 hours a day, whenever I'm not working out, in class, or at work. I would dock it half a star if i could only because of how terrible the software is. The app is buggy and eq options lacking. The software only makes for an unpleasant user experience

For contexts I also have the PX7 S2s. Both are great headphones. the PX7s have a clearer sound and larger soundstage but may be a bit lacking in bass for some. The Momentum 4s sound a bit tighter but have much more pronounced bass. They also have amazing adaptive noise cancellation. I primarily use these for the gym and are excellent for this use. They are also very comfortable in my opinion and can be worn of extended periods of time. The touch control is very intuitive to use and adds extra convenience.

Sound quality is top notch. NC is a bit behind Bose/APM but is good enough for most use cases. Where this shines is the sound quality, good sound staging and crisp highs. I'd say it has a V shape sound signature to it. Bass can get some improvement over some songs, but you can always EQ through that app. Overall good headphones especially if you wait for big discounts/ deals

The sound system and noise canceling are great. You are able to hear every beat of a song. With noise canceling by itself you can still hear faint voices/sounds, but with music or a podcast playing you can't hear other outside noises. Battery life is great. I got them about 3 weeks ago and have only had to charge them twice. I use them almost every day for ~ 6hrs. The only downside I have about these headphones is that every time I get a phone call when using the headphones, it doesn't connect automatically to the call. I have to press the Bluetooth option during the call and when I do, it ends my call.

Great sound, and I know why they have such great battery life. They don’t get very loud! I love these for sound quality and ANC but I constantly have the volume level at 95% because they don’t get very loud at all. The sound stage is awesome but overall not they are not as good as my Sony MX-4. If they could come close to the sound level of the Sony’s they would be my travel cans of choice!

Extremely comfortable. Charge life is excellent. Very easy to connect to all Bluetooth devices. Sound is amazing with great depth that resonates through on any genre of music. Crisp and clear clean sound. Noise cancelling is excellent. I have had many other brands of headphones, and these are by far the best I have ever purchased.
