Great Quality Earbuds Which Are Lacking Features
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THE GOOD DETAILS OF THESE SENNHEISER BLUETOOTH EARBUDS These Sennheiser Momentum true wireless 2 Bluetooth earbuds are built really well and they have some of the best sounding audio of any Bluetooth true wireless earbuds. The Sennheiser Android app is really useful and has an equalizer to adjust the Bass, Mids, and Treble of these earbuds. The app also allows the user to customize which touch sensitive button taps performs which function, and this ability to customize the touch buttons, is a really nice feature which is not found on most true wireless earbuds. I really like the fact that the earbuds can have the touch sensitive buttons to be programmed to turn off the earbuds, as most other true wireless earbuds can only be turned off by way of putting them in the case, which then powers off the earbuds. THE BAD DETAILS OF THESE SENNHEISER BLUETOOTH EARBUDS I don’t like the fabric on this Sennheiser earbuds charging case, I prefer a simpler plastic case which can be more easily wiped clean. This Sennheiser earbuds case lacks wireless charging, and I believe that this price range of earbuds, should by default include a case which has wireless charging. I mostly use Bluetooth earbuds one at a time, and these Sennheiser earbuds can only be used one at a time if using the right side earbud, the left earbuds is not useable independently, and this makes these earbuds much less desirable in my opinion. I am not convinced that the noise cancellation technology is very effective. The functionality of these Sennheiser Bluetooth earbuds only allows switching from the noise cancellation mode, directly into the mode which amplifies the room sound using the earbuds built in microphones, and this results in a contrast which appears to be cancelling noise more than it actually is. I tried having these Sennheiser earbuds in the noise cancellation mode with a hair dryer creating a loud background sound, then I powered the Sennheiser earbuds off with them still in my ears, and the result was not much of a noticeable difference in how loud the hair dryer sounded, this leads me to believe that most of the noise reduction is being accomplished by nothing more than the good fit of the earbuds in the ears, which blocks the sound from reaching the ears. MY OVERALL OPINION OF THESE SENNHEISER MOMENTUM TRUE WIRELESS 2 BLUETOOTH EARBUDS These Sennheiser Momentum true wireless 2 Bluetooth earbuds do have great quality sound, and this is most of what matters when considering the quality of Bluetooth earbuds, but for the price range, there is too many lacking features. I am figuring in the lack of value into my rating of these Sennheiser earbuds, if I was only considering build quality and sound quality, I would have rated them higher. I am scoring these Sennheiser Momentum true wireless 2 Bluetooth earbuds at 3 out of 5 stars.

Great sound but missing a few things
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For me being an ex DJ high fidelity comes first and these ear buds definitely deliver. They have a customizable EQ and you can save different settings for listening to tv, music, audio books, or whatever you listen to. I will say it is not an EQ like I expected with individual sliders but it is pretty adequate. You can customize each earbud with many available settings, pretty cool. Another great feature is how long these buds run on a full charge, super plus. Now for the cons: the earbuds are not cheap $300; they do not support wireless charging; the volume is limited, although pretty adequate I would have liked a little more volume if I wanted it; I also would have liked to have a way of knowing how much juice is left , there is no meter like say Apple that gives you a percentage, bummer. I just expected for the price it came with all the bells and whistles. That is why I gave it 4 stars, if it had the features I listed in my cons it would undoubtably have been a definite 5 stars even at $300. BTW I did forget to mention the noise cancellation feature is fantastic.

Second best to the 1st generation!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound 4/5: These have a great sound, but not as fun and the first generation. The first ones have this WOW effect when you first listen to them. Amazing sound stage and details. These are very close but not the same. ANC 4/5: ANC is good but I think the Airpods pro does a slightly better job. Both can't be compared to over-ear headphones though. Battery 4/5: Good, they have a better battery life than Airpods pro but again in 2020, I would have expected more from $300 earbuds. Also, they lake wireless charging. Connectivity 3/5: They can only connect to one device, and you will have to disconnect from one device and connect to another every time you want to switch. Airpods pro is extremely convenient in this case (although I don't own an iPhone). You also can't use the left earbud alone. In general, these are great overall but if your main desire is the sound quality only, I would recommend the first-gen which in my opinion still the best sounding earbuds I've ever tried.

Get Them. Now.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As context, I am an earbud junkie. I already owned the Jabra Elite Active 75T, Sony WF-1000XM4, and Beats Fit Pro. All highly-regarded, all highly-rated, and I love them all like children :-). I love the different sound signatures of each, and I rotate through them like different shoes. I have been eyeballing the Momentum 2's for ages, and with the recent price drop, it became a no-brainer, a long-desired "pair of shoes" now at an acceptable price point. OMG I am glad I indulged (again)... I am fixated on sound. I don't care about call features, and I am only mildly interested in stuff like battery life and on-board controls. Sound and its noise cancellation cousin is all I care about, so... SOUND: OMG the clarity in all ranges, the separation of different instruments & voices, the breadth, depth & balance of the sound stage is incredible. I feel like I am hearing EVERY nuance, and I've made a new sport of picking apart the sounds as I listen, often following a bass line, a background synth, a background vocal, or a light-percussion riff as though it were the main storyline. Because: I can. Again, the separation and clarity is FUN. Plenty of low-end, and I am a bit of a bass head. The bass has this "bounce" quality to it, much more musical than a dumb thump-thump. I still love my other children, as much as ever, but the Momentum 2's set the bar on all dimensions of sound quality (even the Sony WF-1000XM4). NOISE CANCELLATION: They're OK here. Passive noise control is good, because the isolation is very good. Active noise cancellation layers on top of that, and the net is very good, more than good enough for most use cases. Of all my buds, only the Sony WF-1000XM4 best the Momentum 2's here. I think the difference will only matter on airline flights and the like. Good enough for me, a secondary feature. FIT & COMFORT: Only a couple days in, but fit is AOK & comfort seems to improve daily. Felt a little rough initially, but either my ears or the ear tips have settled in, and I can wear for hours without worry. Now as comfy as any of my other buds ______________ Hope this has been helpful. Get them. Now

Not bad, not ideal.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality is very good, but requires some fiddling. That "fiddling" is via the Sennheiser app which installs on an iPhone and is meant to improve and customize quality. It's quirky and difficult. I have had trouble getting it to recognize that the buds are installed, even when they're connected and playing music. The buds do fit well in the ear, though that too requires a bit of experimentation. I'm not sure how useful the ANC is; I suspect not all that much. On the whole, these are less bulky and more comfortable (and easier to use in terms of touch controls) than the Bose QC earbuds, but I think the Bose sound quality is a bit better. That may be because I haven't figured out the Sennheiser app's quirks, though. I do rate the Sennheiser above Jabra and Apple.

Sennheiser Purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First I most say that BESTBUY always have the best prices for electronics. Now as for the Sennheiser Momentum 2 True Wireless Earbuds they actually fit my small ears and the seal is awesome, they do not fall out ( unless I start chewing something). The sound quality is really good. You can also down load the free to use app to make adjustments if you choose too. The earbuds have sensors inside them, all you do is tap to operate. You can control the volume using the earbuds, go back, go forward, answer a call, pause, use ANC and ambient sound. They also have good battery life. I was disappointed with the ANC, it’s not very good. For the sound quality and battery I would recommend these earbuds.

My favorite IN EAR headphones.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like most of the in ear options, microphones suffer. So if you are using this to talk a lot...look elsewhere. The sound is great and the controls are the same as the Momentum 1st generations. If you want SERIOUS noise cancelling, get some over the ear headphones. BUT! Casual walks and quiet office space, this is ideal. The transparent hearing is a great feature for work, great music quality with the luxury of hearing your co workers, they usually think I cant hear them. For 249 you really cant go wrong for IN EAR "high end". Too much to say but its all positive. My quick Con is the in ear eventually starts to hurt after some time, but thats okay...i should relax after an hour and left my ear take a breather. Bass is great!

Music to my ears
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good: Fit is good and holds with athletic movement, music is clear and full, controls are easy to use, microphone for phone calls works perfectly without a mic boom. Bad: Not cheap, could be louder, largish profile that feels like vids are sticking out of your ears (but after inspection don’t protrude too much). I liked them. I said liked because I already had a pair of ear buds, lost them, bought these, then found the pair I lost, and chose my original over these because they sync easier with my iPhone (gave them to a friend that needed a pair of good earbuds). When I finally lose my current buds, these will be my first choice.

Amazing soundstage!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, and foremost, I'm an audiophile. These earbuds are, for lack of a better word, unbelievable. A few seconds playing with the slightly un-intuitive EQ setting in the app and, wow! Picking backing instruments, the layering of a track is clear, bass is clear and deep. These rival, and outright beat, my pair of over-the-ear Sony studio monitors, without, of course, a DAC. The fit is snug. I have very large ear canals and the large tips make a great seal. This is the first set of buds I've owned where I don't need a pair of foam tips. Four different sizes are included which should cover the vast majority of people. The case is magnetic and hold the buds securely. My one, and very minor, gripe is that I wish they were button and not touch control. Not a complaint, just personal preference. The ANC is not as good as what you'd get from a good set of cans and the pass-through is kind of weak. But, oh the sound! These get LOUD, with very little distortion. Pick these up, pair em up, and set your EQ. There's not a better set of buds available.

Great sound and beautiful design but....
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Such great earbuds with beautiful design and great sound quality. Most reason I like this earbuds is because no other products like momentum true wireless 2 have metal plate with razor logo on the outside. It's very minimal but also feels elegant. The sound quality is great. The overall sound is balanced but leans to dark. I wanna compare it with Bose Quietcomfort earbuds. The bass on Sennheiser one is deep and meaty. The mids is natural, the highs is good but not as bright as Bose QC earbuds. Bose QC buds enhances sub-bass and highs. In addition Bose has more noticeable sub-bass, it sounds very pleasing but also muddier. Sennheiser's sub-bass is good too and it sounds very clean but not as noticeable as Bose's which doesn't mean Sennheiser has less good bass notes. I think the reason behind it is both earphone engineers tone the sound differently. In my opinion Sennheiser tried to make the sound more balanced and accurate but still to please most consumers. Overall Bose has a modified sound signature which is very pleasing to me and Sennheiser has a more accurate sound signature. If let me make a choice to pick one of them I would pick up Bose because Bose has way better app experience than Sennheiser. Noise cancellation is superb on Bose plus it has wireless charging. Sennheiser has Ok noise cancellation which doesn't have much difference from when that feature is turned off. I wish Sennheiser has aluminum charging case than its fabric because the fabric is easily to get dirty and I don't understand why Sennheiser omits the wireless charging feature which most high-end earbuds have.

Simply phenomenal earbuds
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used just about every high end ear buds on the market. I have been running the Bose truly wireless sports for a couple years and decided to try these after a review by Flossy Carter on Youtube. When I got them the sound quality was sub par at best with the stock earbud tips. They did sound good when completely smashed into the ear canal. I grabbed a set of the Comply foam ear tips and they came alive. The bass is solid and highs are crystal clear. Call quality is phenomenal as well is noise canceling. transparent hearing is flawless when using both ear buds in a noisy environment. Pairing is fast and flawless with My Samsung S20 plus. They case is quality and they charge fast and last all day long. One major thing is you can use either earbud by itself and listen to music. Touch interaction is quick and easy to navigate as well as customize in the app. The eq is easy to use to customize the sound that best suits your taste. They are a little on the high side of price but you gotta pay the cost to be the boss. One thing I would have changed was to make the case wireless charging compatible and added the foam tips instead of the standard rubber for premium earbuds.

The best sound with a few drawbacks
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality is unbeatable but battery life is closer to 5 hours with ANC. They are a bit on the quiet side so they may not be suitable for louder chores. I recommend buying the foam tops from Comply to create a better seal. The tips that come with are not the best. Customizable touch controls work well and though the EQ is not great in the app, majority of the population won’t even pick up on the subtle differences of a EQ shift. If you’re trying to judge between these and the AirPods Pro, consider (1) what you use them for most and (2) how many devices you would like to use them with. (1) if you’re primarily listening to music/podcasts/etc. and don’t need to make a lot of calls, go with these. If you’re on the phone a lot, it may be worth going with some other buds. (2) if you need to be able to seamlessly switch between your Apple devices, go with the AirPods Pro. The convenience they have built into the iOS is unmatched.

Best wireless earbuds I have ever tried.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I compared these to the Sony WF-1000XM4 and decided on these. The Sony had more customizations and more EQ settings but the sound on these Momentum are astounding. The soundstage is deep and wide. I can hear instruments that I was not able to hear as well on the XM4. The XM4 has better bass but only in some songs. Certain lower bass frequencies, the XM4 failed to produce where the Momentum was able to. If you want earbuds purely for the sound, then these are it. I don't think there is a better ones than these at the moment. The few things that the Momentum fall a little short on are: - Not as great of a battery life. - Charging case is big. - Charging case does not have wireless charging. - ANC is not as strong as the XM4 and other wireless earbuds I've tried.

Awful default settings aside, pretty decent
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The default settings are absolutely terrible, and I almost returned them before realizing it wasn't a hardware issue. Those cheap earbuds that come with iPhones sound better than these out of the box. I'm knocking a star off for that alone. Update to the latest firmware (4.13 at time of writing) Enable "High-End Sound Tuning" EQ: Bass +1, Mid +2, leave treble on default. The rest of this review is covering the earbuds post-adjustments. I've never used wireless earbuds before, for background, I'm used to my pair of HD6XX's (I worship them daily) and ATH-M50x's (the toss around headphones). The MTW2's have that neutral sound profile that I appreciate from Sennhesier, but at a much lower quality (obviously). They aren't mind-blowing like some reviewers have made them out to be, but they're good enough to happily listen to music on walks or lunch breaks. They fit well in my small ears, unlike earpods and some other cheap earbuds I've tried in the past. The controls are easily customizable, and the app is functional enough to get everything setup. Battery seems good so far, but I've only had them for a few days. They really shine when listening to rock or drum and bass, and start to struggle as you get into metal and heavy industrial, as you'd expect from any earbuds. Still totally listenable across the board. I got them on sale for $250, still steep, but I'm overall happy with the purchase.

The best get better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first version of the Momentum True Wireless headphones were my favorite in the segment. My only reservations about them were the battery life and a slight discomfort after wearing them for a while. Happily the battery life has improved, the earpieces have gotten smaller (and more comfortable), all the while retaining the best in segment sound. I also like that the touch controls are customizable allowing me to create a control scheme that is more comfortable and intuitive for my personal taste. The creaky, plastic case, and lack of wireless charging is a bummer for $299. Other than that, these are the ones to beat (again).

Not worth the price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't get the hype. The sound quality is good. But there are many other earbuds with comparable sound. It comes down to price, and i can't justify this purchase due to lack of some futures Reason for return was terrible call quality! THE BAD: - worst phone call quality! I literally had to disconnect it and talk on the phone instead, because the person on the other side couldn't hear. -average active noise cancelling. Most people are used to over the ear NC headphones, and the ANC just isn't in par! - both earbuds don't connect independently. The right earbuds is the main one. Left earbud won't work without it. -touch interface is great, but accidental touch on the touch surface when putting them in/out of ear is annoying -no wireless charging -very expensive. -not a secure fit. Not good for working out. Won't stay in ear THE GOOD: - great sound - it has ANC (even though it is mediocre) -good battery life -looks premium -customizable touch, you can control everything on the earbuds.

Best in sound for wireless buds
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sennheiser doesn't mess around with their sound. Anyone who believes Apple Earpods or Pixel buds have better sound than these can't be trusted for reviewing any sound related products. There is a reason for the price tag and that is for Sennheiser's quality in their products. As with all buds, the ear for needs to be great. They give you several sizes to choose from for your buds and I find the medium for best for me. Sight seal which really helps the sound quality. However, connection wise and for their app? That's where things get a bit muddy. The app can be improved a lot and different sound stages and an equalizer would be welcomed. You can edit the equalizer yourself, but there is no quick settings that would help with switching between genres. And the Bluetooth connection sometimes needs to reset. The first time setting it up can be less seamless as other buds, but once you get them connected they seem to be fine. They've improved their battery issues from the first gen. Sound wise I can't tell you if it's better, but it is different. I love the sound of the gen 1s and the 2s sound excellent as well, but a little different. I think mainly for me the bass is more honed in on the new versions, whereas the first gens sometimes had overbearing bass that dominated the all around sound. Not as bad as a Beats set, but still. Battery has been great as well. I haven't had issues with using them for hours on hikes, runs or walks. The ANC is great too, for buds anyway. You don't need them to be completely blocking of outside sound when you're out and about, but on trains or other loud environments they're fine. I still would get over-the-ear cans for airplanes, but these would be better than most others. You pay for what you get. And these are spendy. But you'll notice the difference in quality of sound if that is your main goal. It's always mine when listening to music.
