Overall a good experience, sound quality overall is pretty solid. Bass is amazingly deep and clean, by far the most noticeable difference between these and other headphones. Able to use them with no battery wired into my PC and wirelessly with my Phone. Battery life is almost 3 days worth and they charge super fast. Love the carrying case and use it to transport them to work and back without fear of them being broken tossed in a bag. However the feedback from the controls is terrible. There are just leds that make it really hard to tell if the headset is on or not. Hard to tell if the headset is being turned off or on or if the headset is low on battery. The only indicator that they are on is a click sound which you won’t notice if you aren’t wearing them. Overall I still accidentally turn them on when I want to turn them off and vice versa. Other times they don’t show charge when they are charging and seem to freeze up and don’t show any leds unless you hold the power button down for a while and then they turn off and work fine after. No idea, but seems like something firmware could fix. The sound quality over Bluetooth is noticeably compressed to a trained ear, but you can use these wired with a good amp and get great sound quality akin to regular wired sennhieser products.

Very good head phones, love the bass it has, and the battery life is definitely gonna be the best factor, just wish it was a little louder but the noise cancellation makes it good enough that you don’t really need that extra volume

[Employee of bestbuy] The Senheiser Momentum 4s are really solid headphones with decent noise cancellation for flights and the such. The sound quality is exceptionally good with special care for instrument separation, and good enough noise cancellation to forget about the airplane. The controls are honestly great when the work! The apps occasional updates sometimes make them require a bit of setup though. The battery life is also super solid, way better then any of wireless solution Ive had before

Quality headphones, not quite Bose levels on ANC. Very well designed and built. Easy to connect to devices including aircraft Bluetooth systems. Good noise cancelling but not great. Still, the audio quality is phenomenal, probably better than Bose. Comfortable to wear on a 16 hour flight.

I’m writing this review about 6 months later and these headphones sound amazing. Best headphones i’ve owned. The noise cancellation isn’t the strongest but when you’re playing movies or music you’re not going to hear anything. 10/10 on sound, it’s the complete opposite for connectivity. There has been multiple occasions and more frequently where i’m listening to music or watching a movie and the headphones just turn off, or disconnect. Then i have to turn the headphones on again and it’ll reconnect and another 20-30 minutes later same thing. Battery fully charged, software up to date, etc. I can be sitting complete still and it just disconnects. Not sure the issue with that but i had to take off 2 i was even thinking 3 stars just for that. It’s very annoying and frustrating. It’s also annoying how when you pick up the headphones after turning them off they turn on and connect to my phone. I wish the on/off button was the ONLY way to turn them on and off and there’s been multiple times i’ve simply tried to move the headphones away from me on my bed watching a video and they connect to the headphones. It’s very annoying as well. I had no issues at first but after about 3 months this issue with it disconnecting started happening. Also it is very annoying trying to simply turn them on, you have to hold for 5 seconds and sometimes there’s no reaction from the headphones and they don’t turn on. Sound is amazing but it’s lacking in other areas. I’ve considered returning but i’m way past that now. May just end up getting airpod maxes but that price is ridiculous for the sound quality you’ll get out of these headphones maybe even better. Overall 2.5-3/5. I’d recommend it still just purely for the sound. Everything else needs to be addressed in future releases.

I use these while cutting lawn. They have great clear sound. The lawnmower noise is canceled out and makes it easy to listen to my favorite music or podcasts. These headphones last a few hours and also do not take long to charge when they do run out. I love them.

Pros: + Fit is snug and comfortable, earcup material nice and plush and so is the headband. + Sound quality is balanced and not too bass-heavy +Tremendous battery life compared to similar headphones +Build quality and case feel sturdy and premium + Audio available over USB-C Cons: - OK microphone quality - Noise isolation and "cancelling" is more muffled than muted - Bass heavy tracks lack depth

    My go to travel headphones

Much improved over the Momentum 3s. While the momentum 3s had great sound quality and just ok ANC, the momentum 4 improves in these areas and more. ANC is way better, no more distortion and is on par with some of the best. My biggest complaint about the momentum 3s were comfort. It became fatiguing to wear after 2 hours. I wore these on an 11 hour plane ride and never felt the need to take them off. Also the battery life on these is insane now. Only knock on these headphones is the touch controls. They do take some getting use to and I much prefer the buttons on the old headphone. Other than that this is my favorite travel headphone along with the XM5s. But these are cheaper and have better sound quality. Highly recommend.

First I would like to preface this by saying I have had this for a couple of months. It is a beautiful feeling headset, had a little bit of high clamp force so a little uncomfortable for a while. However, it has been cleared up. The wireless Bluetooth work well but sometimes the dual pairing can switch to my phone at inopportune times . I would suggest maybe an app prompt that could say do I want to switch to my phone or not. The overall standout feature is the sound personalization so impressive that as a jazz fan I can hear the bass the brushes of drums, guitars etc. Another not a deal breaker but I would like the wired connection to be ISBC as the current connection get staric sometimes or doesn't connect with my laptop .

I'm giving them 4 stars because they do have great noise canceling properties, but if the volume is low enough, which is maybe halfway to the max, you can hear things from the outside and I've tested it even when I have the ANC Filter on and while it's transparent. But if the volume is at a certain level, it works perfectly. Would recommend these compared to Sony or Bose headphones. Definitely worth the price but earbuds are better. Also be conscious that the app has changed ownership, and the customer service is a lot more lax. It's not as good as what it used to be. But compared to the horrible customer servers at bose, their customer service is at least better in sending you recommendations on how to fix or restart your product. And the battery life is AMAZING, i can go listening with these headphones for 5 to 7 hours per day for a whole week and it would still be at 50% charge at least.

These are probably some of the most comfortable headphones I've had. But I'd only recommend them for some specific use cases. They don't work great when plugging them into a PC. If you're running multiple audio applications at the same time (ie podcast/ music + game) the quality of the audio will be terrible. There also is sometimes a weird glitch where the noise canceling is turned off because the headphones for some reason think that you took them off. You have to kind of adjust the positioning over and over until the noise canceling stays on. There also is a weird glitch when using them for calls on my Mac, where they will randomly mute themselves when I'm in the middle of a sentence. Super frustrating to be having a conversation and then randomly hear "MUTE ON". Other than these issues, the sound quality and comfort is amazing. Battery life is also excellent. Great for travel and study but in other areas they're not great.

I haven’t worn over the ear headphones since the original OG MONSTER CABLE Beats by Dr. Dre plug in Studio headphones. With all the new technology, styles, and colors . . . It became hard to decide which one would be best for my needs and I just landed on the basic Apple AirPods and updated generations that followed. When it was time to land on an over the ear headset after over a decade of not owning one . . . I did a lot of research online and in person. Sennheiser has always been audio company since as far back as I can remember. Focusing solely on microphones, headphones, and speakers . . . Their products can be found in high end music studios, movie sets, and of course at home too. Their products were never “cheap” and some would even say . . . “Quite expensive”. In reality you get what you pay for. With all my research I not only found that this was a great headset, but the fit, comfort, color options, BATTERY LIFE, noise cancelling performance, included accessories, and portable and sleek hard case made it tough to not want to add this to my life. After using it daily for the past few months, I can say that I have zero regrets with my purchase decision. Traveling with this is simple and comfortable when worn on 11 to 13 hour business flights. The sound quality far exceeds the competition in the same and even higher price ranges, the unit is very easy to use and operate, and looks elevated while not being overly gaudy and futuristic when compared to other brands and models. I have had no issues with glitches, spotty connections, or wear and tear with use that far exceeds the norm of a casual headphone user. I would recommend this to anyone considering to buy any headphone in the $349 to $599 price point range. None offer the battery life that this one provides and it’s not “heavy” when worn for hours at a time.

Overall these are good quality headphones. The sound has very good clarity. Headphones are lightweight and comfortable to wear. The materials seem to be of good quality. These headphones come with a case to store in, a decently long charge cable, headphone cable, and airplane adapter. The cell phone app works and allows you to change the equalizer. The noise cancelling works good and can be easily fine-tuned using the headphone touchpad. The led's give you an indication of how much time is left to charge the battery.

As consumers were are usually all seeking contentment with our purchases. With that being said, below are my feelings comparing this to the Sony WH-1000XM5 (returned for SH M4). Though I want to preface by letting you know. I won't cover the phone apps on this review. Senn wins by default, as I kept the M4. So you will be in the ecosystem ready to go within 10 minutes. My usage is across my tv, pc and phone, within a 2 story middle apartment. Multi-connection is fantastic to boot. TLDR: Sony is flimsy feeling and corners were cut. No reason to upgrade over an XM4. Senn greets you with a big hug everyday. A long 60+ hour battery hug. Get lost in some audio, bump the BASS and pick up the PACE. Dolby Atmos does work well for those who care. Design/Build Quality/Sound/Case *Sony - A very bland and plastic look. Thin and shallow headband/earpads (recommend 3rd party earpads for Sony). So you might not have as much clamp force to spread out. Which for me as a even a bald person, becomes an issue within 15 minutes. As it feel the pad comfort start to fade and bottom out. So then you will feel the rim of the band and earcups. It was a major step back from the XM4. Feels more like a plastic pair of children's headphones. The earcups articulation is poor and limiting. Which further exacerbates the issue noted above. The better the articulation and balance/width of the headband. The wider array of customers you can appease. As for the sound and taking out their proprietary codecs and 360 software. They are an 8/10, less bass heavy. Even with EQ tweaks, they won't knock you off your butt. I prefer a lower and higher ceiling for kick. As well as less proprietary codecs/software. Which further limits you, looking at you as well Apple and Samsung! Apartment based ANC is a 9/10, as Bose is the 10/10 OG. Battery is poor for cost (under 30 hours), can't compete. Just a very basic case, nothing that stands out. If you are paying good money. I'd prefer something solid day 1. Not having the urge to spend more on a 3rd party. *Sennheiser - The headband is very solid feeling. The padding is mainly in the middle. It doesn't feel like much. But due to the wider band and placement of the pad focal point (center). It will give you a better balanced feeling weight wise. As the outer parts of band are solid. The earcups have the same pull/push non-notched adjustment as the Sony. Though because this has a wider headband. You shouldn't have to constantly adjust them every 15/20 minutes. Unlike some other brands, lacking a balanced weight resistance ratio. With that being said, they will get warm for some. Though I always advise people to "clear the air" every hour for a few minutes. As 90% of headphones I've used got warm overtime. That's why comfort is paramount. You can tolerate the warm feeling much easier. SH worked some magic yet again. BASSHEADS, a return to form. The EQ range is generous. Tweak away, and dance and game the night away. Or relax and watch something on TV. Multi-connection is more useful than I thought. Especially being able to keep your phone connected at all times. That way no matter what I'm doing. I can receive the phone call. Apartment ANC 8/10, Sony retains the edge. Though due to the stronger bass in the M4. The M4 can fill the gap with stronger overall bass. Dolby Atmos also pairs well with the headphones. The battery is where the dark magic hides. Rated at 60 hours per charge. Though in some cases, users have gotten over 60. That is more than enough to get you through a week. Less overall charge, will mean slower degradation of battery life. People still forget, we can't easily swap batteries in 90% (my estimation) of headphones. The case stands out, especially the blue. The color tones are complementary. Sure I don't mind a "sleeper pair" of headphones. Sometimes you just want to appreciate the visual aesthetic as much as the audio experience. Cheers, Authorian HiFi A/V Enjoyer

I was in the market for over the head earphones. I have been reading reviews and watching video comparison between the B&W PX7s, Sony XM5 and the Senheisser Momentum 4. Note that all 3 are well within the same price range. If you own a device that supports the LDAC codec, then it would be a no brainer to get the Sony. But seeing a review from Darko on youtube where he compared the M4 to the Bathys by Focal did it for me. Boy was I impressed with the sound of this thing. Neutral and not bass heavy. I like the design more by Sony but I don’t hate the Momentum 4s design either. Very comfortable in my head and had worn this in a 4 hour flight easy without feeling of discomfort on my ears. Battery life is impressive with 60hours, have’t tried it out though since I normally charge mine when it’s in the low side, and I don’t keep track of the usage either. Oh and I got these on sale for $299 which is a major plus.

IMO best sound, comfort and looks. Noise cancelling (NC) well below the Bose QC which I owned before they were stolen. I'm OK with it as the Bose would hurt my inner ears after about 2 hours on a plane and I can wear these forever. As long as I'm not next to a crying baby, these suffice. Whatever I'm listening to drowns out 95% of what leaks through the NC. Love the look of the case but it's on the large side and not the best for traveling light. They were $150 cheaper then the Bose and the sound is better. I've used Sennheiser in pro sound applications and accept that their quality and durability are high.
