Good sound, good mic, mediocre noise cancellation

This is the first time I’ve had the opportunity to try out Sennheiser headphones, though I’ve definitely heard of the brand before as a staple of quality for the category they fill. Overall, I have been happy with the audio quality, so if audio quality is your primary reason for looking at this headphones, I can comfortably say you won’t be disappointed. However one of the reasons I was excited for these headphones was the active noise cancellation (ANC). I work both in an office and at times from home, so I need to drown out noise from other people or children, and these headphones proved to be insufficient and less efficient than another pair of ANC headphones I have. The app these headphones pair with walk you through how to use all true features, like pinching to adjust the degrees of ANC, which was a neat feature, but even at its highest degree of ANC, I could still hear noises from other people or kids when wearing them at home. For contrast, I was wearing a different pair of ANC headphones at work when a fire alarm went off, and I didn’t know the fire alarm was blaring until I saw other people leaving the building. I used these headphones also while gaming and talking to a friend over in-game voice chat, and they mentioned my audio from my mic came through very clearly, so I have no concerns about the built-in mic. Ultimately, because I feel ANC is such a hugely integral part of a product like this, and this fell short of my expectations on that front, it’s not a product I would recommend. I still plan to use it for voice chatting and music, but I’ll need to use different headphones when I’m trying to concentrate while working.

I like the design and sound quality, although I find the sound slightly quieter than I'd prefer for home listening. However, I've encountered numerous connectivity issues with various devices, leading me to consider selling the headphones after less than five months of use. The multi-connection feature is both useful and annoying, especially when devices connect unexpectedly. Additionally, the automatic play/pause feature when removing the headphones from the ears is seen as a nice touch but has caused issues with audio routing. I also find the touch controls overly sensitive. Overall, I appreciate the build quality and sound but am frustrated by the many bugs and connectivity issues.

ANC is really nice. The sound settings are very customizable and easy to fine tune. Headphones are comfortable for long periods of time and don’t squeeze my glasses against my face. Overall audio quality is amazing

These are the best headphones I have tried so far. I went through airpod max, sony xm4, xm5, and bose quietcomfort. These have the most neutral tuning of any of them, and the app is quite handy to tune if you want more bass. It handles the increase well. If you find them on sale as I did, definitely snag them.

Huge dilemma with these. They are probably 1 of the best sounding headphones musically that I've had. But after a month they stopped turning on and off. Then would drop connection with Bluetooth on android s25ultra. Then would not pair at all anymore. I didn't want to return them but had to. I tried another s25ultra to check with it in case my phone had problem. Nope. Next i exchanged them. The problem was worse. After 2 days they weren't usable with android even with firmware update. Tried 2nd phone again, same. I went to best buy and chatted them up and problem happened there also. Nothing in Sennheiser app settings was wrong. I had to return them and get something else. So disappointed as i really like the rich sound of these.

I would give these 5 stars but for 400$ i cant. I bought these on black friday for 200$ and they are absolutely worth it for that price. And for those wondering about sound quality heres the good and bad. The good overall is that the clarity and depth of sound is amazing as well as their very comfortable to wear and go completely over the ears for all day comfort but these are not meant for all music. These are great for things like live music or critcal listening. So if you enjoy classical, jazz, rock, or any music where you can really pick out what instrument your hearing these will be a great choice. The bad simply put is when you push the bass through the application these headphones struggle under their own power in a bad way and will sound like they are almost damaging themselves. With that being said if you enjoy rap, pop, electronica, or any music where it has strong or heavy bass these i cannot recommend. Like with Bose these are more tuned for finer listening.

I’ve had this a little less then a year that sound great except just recently there a buzzing that happens at mid volume level for treble, otherwise the bass sounds clean and it has great clarity. It’s also very comfortable for many hours

Solid pair of headphones. They audio quality is super wonderful and the tone is magnificent. The equalizer is super handy and the app works great. I really like the ANC, though it could be better, especially when it comes to filtering out other music. The ANC filters out noise like it should, but if theres external music playing, it comes through pretty well. Additionally, it randomly disconnects from my phone which is a bit inconvenient, but other than that, it works very well and I love them! I was a bit nervous buying premium headphones, but these are amazing.

This is a really nice pair of headphones. I had some early issues with connections and disconnects, over a year ago, but there have been some updates that have come out that appear to have fixed that. The sound quality is great and it is hard to notice them even after long sessions. The ears don't get too hot and they are not that heavy but maintain a premium feel.

After thorough research, I chose the Momentum 4 over the XM4 primarily for its superior sound quality. While the XM4 boasts excellent noise isolation, I prioritized clear and crisp audio. It's a trade-off, really - sound quality versus isolation. The XM4 may excel in blocking out noise, but the Momentum 4 delivers a more immersive listening experience for me. The Momentum 4 truly shines when watching movies. The bass is well-balanced, neither overpowering nor lacking, kicking in precisely when needed. The overall sound clarity creates a theater-like atmosphere, perfect for movie nights or focused study sessions, even in a shared room. The accompanying app provides a range of customization options to further personalize the listening experience.

The sound is excellent, better than the comparable Sony IMO. The speakers are close to your ears. Really close. The band across the top is good. I found the ear cups made the area around my ears hot, sweaty even in winter, after 30 minutes and they were too tight, very uncomfortable at my jaw line. I had to return them. I wear glasses and had no problem with them, though. If these fit your head or you can get used to them, they are wonderful.
