After 8 months the right earbud only crackles or works if I tap it. Then it stops again. For this price it should have lasted YEARS not months

Right out of the bix, both buds are defective. Charged it right away, buds do not “activate” or turn on. Tried troubleshooting and researching for an extended amount of time. Found similiar issues but generally limited to one bud. They basiclaly have no customer serice to get ahold of either. Definitelt highly dissapointes.

These make Airpods look like cheap knockoffs. The case is a nice hard plastic case wrapped in a nice premium feeling textured fabric. There is a USB-C charging port on the front, with a status LED next to it. Honestly I kind of wish the USB port was on the back, but really at the end of the day it's kind of inconsequential. The case is magnetically held closed, and feels nice and secure. When it's open, it is held open and doesn't get in the way when trying to take the earbuds in or out. You put them in your ear and rotate back slightly to secure them in place. Earbuds are something I've almost always found to be uncomfortable, especially for extended periods of wear. These, while on the more comfortable end of the spectrum, I still found to be uncomfortable after wearing for an hour or two, but that's not terribly surprising for me. I did try the different sized earcups and the ones that came fit best. It also comes with different sized "fins", which are silicon rings around the earbuds that help secure the buds in your ear. You really need to install the Sennheiser smart connect app to get the most out of these. In the app you can control the nose cancellation (On, anti-wind, off), "transparency" level, customize touch controls, and a fit test (to ensure the earbuds are well fit in your ear). You can adjust the EQ in the app, including turning on Bass Boost (which I recommend). I also recommend going into the settings, and setting the audio resolution to "high resolution" or "Lossless". it defaults to standard, which may help bluetooth range, stability and the battery life of the earbuds, but if you're listening to high quality audio you'll notice the difference. The app also has other battery settings to prolong playtime by disabling power-hungry aptX codec, but also to protect the battery health by slowing down charging and limiting the maximum charge. Unless you use these all day everyday, turning on battery protection mode is probably a good idea. Audio quality and noise cancellation are great. Still not as good as over-ear headphones, but among the best I've ever used. I've been using them for a couple hours a day for the last 2-3 days, and the case battery is still at 80%, so I'm really not concerned about battery life at all. Really it's hard to find any fault with these, except maybe comfort as I mentioned before.

    Nice upgrade from Momentum 3

The Momentum True Wireless 4 are a nice upgrade from the version 3. The sound output seems about on par but the improvement comes in the noise cancelling. While using them at work most of the jibber jabber in the background became whispers and the drone of some of the machinery was almost non-existent. It handles steady sounds better than varying sounds. The audio quality is top notch, which I'd have expected from Sennheiser. The only problem creeps up in bass heavy tracks with long base lines. A Tribe Called Quests "Vibes and Stuff" is what I always use to test how muddy the sound can be at max volume. Not many headphones pass the test and the Momentums are one that didn't. Now, I never use maximum volume so it's actually a non-issue, but still a test I like to run. Tweaking the EQ and the bass was manageable at max with clean mids and highs coming through. One compliment to Sennheiser is that the don't force you to make an account to access the settings of you buds so many companies seem to make you do. You have the option to sign up and it's only required if you want to run the test to have the app personalize your sound based on your hearing and ear shape. I usually tweak things myself and never touch the apps again so not having to open accounts is a huge plus. The buds fit extremely secure and tight. The default tips sealed my ears so well there's a bit of suction when removing. The downside is that my left ear starts hurting after a few hours. It's no fault of the Momentum 4's, but more to do with the shape of my left ear canal. Most headphones that use your outer ear to apply pressure to keep them secure puts just a bit too much pressure for my left canal. My right never has any issues. So this isn't an Momentum issue, but my own body issue. Just mentioning it if there are others with issues with buds that apply a little pressure for fit. Right now it's a toss up on which iem's I own that are my favorite. The Momentum has better noise cancelling but my other pair doesn't cause any discomfort. The Momentum would leave me less worried about them falling out where my other set has come out when I get sweaty a couple times. So I'm torn on which will become my daily driver. Kinda leaning towards the Momentums because of the audio quality and the noise cancelling.

I really wanted to like the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 more than I did. My score is coming from an iPhone 15 Pro Max user who is heavily outfitted with Apple products. My views are as impartial as I can be given what I could test these with. Pros: - Excellent, premium build quality - Outstanding battery life - Excellent noise cancelling (if you can get a proper seal) - Slightly above average sound quality (on iOS, probably better on Android) - Awesome for Android users Cons: - Largest earpiece was still too small for my left ear so I couldn't get a proper seal - Audio quality wasn't as good as my AirPods Pro 2 (which is probably Apple playing favorites) - Case is fairly large by comparison - Adaptive ANC was OK at best. Control of transparency and ANC was convoluted, turning on one turns off the other yet there is some overlap in capability. - No reason to select these over AirPods Pro if you are an Apple user. - No Spatial Audio support on iOS - Fit feels solid, but I did have issues with one not staying seated in my right ear. Overall, these are a tough recommend for iPhone users. Frankly, the AirPods Pro 2 can do better for less money. I think if you are an Android user these are an obvious winner.

Better than QC Ultra and AirPod Pro 2.

So I am on this odyssey for the perfect headphones and after adding Apple's AirPod Pro 2, and Bose's QC Ultra earbuds to my arsenal, it was clear that the functionality of the Airpods was unmatched (with iOS devices) while the QC Ultra sounded better at the expense of missing comfort features. So, the Sennheiser True Wireless Momentum 4 (TWM4) became more interesting. The unwieldy name aside, the "true wireless" is essentially reserved to earbuds and Momentum 4 continues a respectable line by audio veteran Sennheiser. At first contact, the case for the TWM4 is taller than the QC Ultra while still feeling smaller. It's of course bigger in almost all aspects than the AirPod Pro 2. Wireless charging (of the case) is fortunately included, an odd omission from the QC Ultra, even if the charge level is not reported to the Smartphone unlike the AirPods. The App is probably one of the more minimalistic of any of them and sub-sequentially comfort features like conversation awareness or spatial audio are absent. At least the latter is greatly compensated by an excellent sound profile. Custom profiles are possible but neither intuitive nor necessary. In my opinion, the TWM4 are the best sounding earbuds in this mix (only bested by a recent glance at the Denon Perl Pro). I think neither are sounding bad or mediocre. Yet, the punchy base and crystal clear separation is coming out on top, even compared to the Bose QC Ultra. This is also based on personal preference, but to that degree it's my verdict. So, the Sennheiser True Wireless Momentum 4 may not get the buzz but are worthy competitors for the beast earbuds in this price range (under $400). They're not perfect, but the wireless charging case (yes it's a big deal to me) and the punchy sound profile (my main reason) make it an excellent choice.

    Incredible Sound

Having tried these Sennheiser for the last week, these are high quality ear buds. Set up was simple and I was up and running in about 15 minutes total. They are solid and have some actual weight to them. Nothing negative, it is simply to say they feel well constructed and have a high end quality feel. Once I set up my own sound preferences via the app, I put these throught its paces. The sound is outstanding and the bass, mid range and treble are crisp and totally enguf you in the sounds. The touch sensitivity is quick and responsive. There was no unnecessary drag to anything. Sound for phone calls is as equally impressive, and with noise cancellation it has just the right balance. The only reason I did not rate these 5 stars is because I feel the true noise cancellation could be better improved. I could still hear pretty much everything on going on around me. I have tried several other brands and while these just seem to miss the mark, I am hoping a software update will easily correct this situation. Other than that, these are absolute winners. I would definitely recommend these regardless.

These sound good out the box. Doing custom spund test makes them amazing. Loved them for 3 weeks. Then my mics stopped working well. People on other emd of calls complained of muffles low voice. I would put buds in case and then reconne t and I would sound good for less than a minute then right back to muffled. I tried adjusting transparency and anc. Nothing fixed this.Returned for refund.

I hate to give lover than 3 stars every product has some quality that is reason we buy that product. Problem those garbage headphones has in my case if you don't use them for 3-4 months they don't lose capabilities to charge, one You Tube member explains very well. People at Sennheiser know that flow but they don't care about people and customers, as Globalization rules they will always find million innocent people ready to spend hard earned money on garbage.
