This was one of the best TV series ever put out unfortunately for whatever problems there were it was only on for one season Josh Whedon was a very good writer and director I would’ve liked to seen more of this series but the idiot powers that be only allowed for one season .

Serenity gave fans a conclusion to the Firefly story, which was a fun mashup of the sci-fi and western genres. Fox egregiously mishandled this series when it aired. Watch the series, then the movie, Serenity. You’ll have a complete story and get some answers.

Having recently upgraded to a 4K TV and 4K blue-ray player I had to choose some 4k movies to see if there was a difference. There is, but it isn't that big of a difference. The clarity and color are sharper but not by that much. Still a really good format.

The transfer done for this 4K Ultra HD disc was very impressive. The colors are bright and sharp, and the blacks were very crisp and true black (not dark grey). Overall I think it is a very good quality transfer, and would recommend it to any fans of Serenity.

For fans of the "Firefly" tv series that was short lived, the movie somewhat gives fans some closure. One more adventure, but to see them on the big screen, much less on blu-ray. Besides the usual extra features(such as the director's commentary and deleted scenes), the cast feature commentary, the digital tour of the spaceship Serenity and the compendium of the Serenity universe, with all sorts of great fact-filled information, makes this a must have for Firefly fans!

Not what we expected. More if an drama / TV series than anything else. Watch but you might get bored!

I love, love, the Serenity series. I thought i was amazed when the blu-ray came out. This 4K blew me away. These sci-fi movies with CGI are made for 4K playback. Stunning battle scenes along with a great plot make for a great movie. Even better now in 4K!!

Being a fan of the Firefly TV series, it was great that a movie was made with all of the original cast. The movie is good, but to see it as 4K on a 4K TV is great to see the colors and the sharpness.

Great movie where you see Nathan Fillion in a show before Castle if you haven't already spotted him in Saving Private Ryan. Great cast, lots of action, really good lore. If you haven't seen the TV show Firefly, you probably will try to look for it after watching this.

If you are a long time firefly fan then this movie is great, and made better by the fact that it’s in 4K. If you haven’t seen the firefly series yet pick that up as well - although you don’t have to know the series to enjoy this movie.

I always loved the Firefly series, and this was a great ending to the show, though I wish it never ended. The picture is sharper and deeper colors, 4k in this movie is great. The movie and price were so good, I bought it again as a gift.

A great capper for a series gone at least 5 years too soon. While the movie lacks some of the charm of the series, it's nice that Joss Whedon and crew had a chance to tell the story. The steelbook comes with a digital download code as well.

As a way to bring Firefly to a nice "conclusion" the move is a success. As a 4K rendering it's magnificent. Great video, great sound, entertaining movie. Fans of Firefly will be satisfied, those who never watched the series will enjoy the show.

Serenity is a wonderful closure to the short lived, cult following Sci-Fi Television Show. This show had a little Steampunk style, sci-fi western style to it that I found very enjoyable. The characters were very well thought out and the story could've been a bit more towards the smuggling side and character driven from that but what it is was very entertaining.

Serenity is the stellar follow-up film to the gone-way-too-soon show Firefly, and a great addition to any film collection. The film looks great in 4K, and all the bonus features carry over from the previous Blu-Ray release.

If you are a true Firefly fan,and have the equipment to play it,it is a great addition to your collection,it looks and sounds great in my HT.They say you cant see in 4K-I don't care,if its better and crisper,I'm getting it.

Serenity is a continuation to the short lived tv series, Firefly. It sums up the story fairly well if you were a fan of the original series. It is directed by Joss Whedon, so in good whedon fashion expect lots of twits and turns, and maybe even a tear by the end.

The steel book is cool for what it is, but the best thing in set is the 4k disc art. The movie is awesome, but really good all 4k'd up. I have mixed feelings on some Blu-Rays up coded to 4k but this one seems to be pretty good.

I love the firefly series and was upset when Fox cancelled the show. I have seen this movie a dozen times and it was a great way to tie up where the show left off. If your a Nathan Fillion fan then this movie is for you.

I bought this DVD on sale for $12 as a 4k version. Its a a really neat movie with a positive story-line along the Guardians of the Galaxy genre. It is not near as awesome as Guardians but still pretty good on it's own merits.
