I was nearly Obsessed with this movie when it hit theatres. I owned it on DVD for years. The visuals are to die for, the actors do perfect justice to the plot, each contrasting one another and the dialogues are just catching and cool. I must say, watching it for the first time on Blu Ray last night brought back the feel of when I was a kid. It's phenomenal. A must own for any collection. Highly recommended!

Serenity is one of the best films for time. This is one of the phones that you should have in your file it stops from where the series continues and puts it out together so that you have a turn on understanding from the series left off. Quite well done how they did it. Are you should watch the series just to get familiar with everything just in case you miss anything

The cargo spaceship Serenity takes in passenger Simon and his psychic sister River (Summer Glau) who just escaped from Alliance forces. Until now the Serenity has steered clear of the sinister forces of the Alliance, but now are pursued by a deadly Alliance agent (Chiwetel Ejiofor) who will stop at nothing to find both the Serenity and its new passengers.

Was waiting for a while for this to come out in 4k, i have the bluray, just wanted the 4k version and finally got it... This is a classic sci-fi movie from a series that should never have stopped, one of the best ever on TV... The Movie is Awesome, if you have not seen it, you must...

There's not much to say about the beloved firefly series that hasn't already been said, or the swan-song movie, Serenity. I personally love it. Getting it in a 4K edit is a must for any firefly fan, even if you have the blue ray. I wish it was a steel book, but I'll take a slip cover any day. If you like sci-fi or good stories at all, you can't go wrong here.

So by my count there are three versions of Serentiy you can buy on Blu-Ray: a BD only release, a BD-DVD-Digital Copy version with the same cover, and this Steelbook. In terms of content, this is the same version as the latter edition, but with Universal's "Comic Book" panel style Steelbook art. The cover resembles versions of Serenity available overseas with River as the focus, and is great for display.

Firefly is an amazing series and Serenity is the icing on the cake. This is one amazing film on an awesome blu ray. The video is amazingly clean and clear for the dark picture. The surround sound is so much better than the television series. The extras on the disc are too numerous to write in detail. This blu ray is a great companion piece to Firefly on blu ray. We fans are waiting for the next installment.

Got this one mainly to have a Blu-Ray copy of the movie since the 4k is an upscale, but gave it a try. The BD is good. Much better than on DVD. The 4k is nice, but really contrasty. When it's bright, like on Miranda, the pic is nice and clean and sharp. But when they're in the ship's interior, everything seem sdark and a little crushed. HDR isn't that evident over the BD but there is a nice sharp picture all teh way through. If it hadn't been on sale, I'd probably have just stuck with the BD, but at the price, it was worth it.

I originally watched this movie in theaters before watching Firefly, found it to be boring... Years later I finally sat through Firefly, which is now one of my favorite series of all time. Rewatched Serenity and loved it. Please do yourself a favor, watch Firefly, then watch Serenity

A descent ending to one of best (if not the best) underrated scifi series ever. I think Joss Whedon should do what Spielberg did w/ Jurassic Park and buy the rights to firefly. As for the timely shipment I was very satisfied. The price was unbeatable(I looked everywhere) The condition of the "steelcase" was excellent.

Great stand alone movie that just so happens to me a continuation of a tv series that got canceled after 14 episodes. No need to watch the show to appreciate this movie. Will only make it better. The 4K transfer is amazing. The DTS X is awesome.

I love this movie, this series, this concept. I keep buying it i every format as it comes out, hoping the bean counters will notice, and make another one. But now that I have the, very gorgeous, steelbook, even I must say I’ve gotten all I could. It’s a great movie, and the steelbook is great.

Firefly was a great show that ultimately was not around long enough. That hasn't stopped it from becoming a fan favorite and it resulted in this movie being made. If you like the tv show then you will like this movie. If you never watched the show, check that out as soon as you can.

The definitive version of the continuation of Fox's cancelled-to-soon classic sci-fi TV show, Firefly. A fine ending for these characters at that. You won't truly get the movie if you haven't yet watched Firefly, but that series is fantastic, so just go watch it anyways. 4k is good, but the special effects do tend to show their age under the high-quality spotlight.

I didn't plan on buying this one when I walked into the store... I already own this in a collector's edition, but the artwork was really cool and the price was right. I wasn't going to open it, but I'm glad I did - it wasn't advertised on the outside, but this one includes a digital copy

While firefly is a cult classic show that ended after only one season, definitely deserving more. While it wasn't another season, a movie length episode was far better than nothing. Now the film has made its way to a 4K release. And while it isn't the best transfer, it benefits greatly from the added resolution and HDR. If you don't already own it or are looking to update your collection because you love 4K, its a solod choice.

I was really glad to get this movie to compliment the Firefly TV series and show what the Reavers are capable of against the Alliance. The best part is towards the end when the crew finally see what River is capable of when her back is against the wall when her brother is injured. More than a mind-reader. A fighter!!

I really liked the TV show. It was a total bummer when they cancelled the show. Then the movie came out. I have the non 4K version already but wanted it in 4K. Since I had not watched it in a long time I was not able to compare the 2 versions. It is an awesome movie.

Not much to say…it is a blu-ray movie I wanted, and Best Buy had it at great price. Ordering was easy, and it was delivered quickly.

Summer L. and Nathon F are great in this movie branch off of Firefly, where they truly are space cowboys,in this fun,action pack series made into a movie. also in it is V's Morena B. Great to see her not eating people but a Madame who can take care of her self. Loved the show and the movie is another fun ride
