It is okay..
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not sure whether it is working well to purify the air.. while I am cooking, I still see the air quality 100 or 99% … how could that be possible with smell?? As far as a heater.. it works well and noise of the fan is minimal.. so much quieter than old heater I used before..

Good product but doesn’t remove all dog fur
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.House is less dusty ever since we got it. But it doesn’t get all dog fur so I still have to vacuum a lot. All in all it’s good. I’ve seen the air quality go down to 0% when we didn’t have exhaust fan on while cooking and it was working nonstop to put air quality back to 100%.

Love it!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Heater works! I love this thing. My furnace stopped working a few days after I purchased this air purifier. I left it on with the heater on high and kept my entire house warm (1200sqft house). I have two dogs and two kids and it’s definitely less stinky in here. I recommend to everyone that visits me.

Works for allergens and other pollutants
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for allergies due to dust mites and other in house allergens. It does work for that and my symptoms (clogged nose) went away on day one of using it. I also thought it would get rid of smells in the house from cooking food and it doesn't work for that as well. I came home and could still smell the scent of my breakfast.

Better Than Advertised
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased for an upstairs bedroom that has felt stuffy since we purchased our home. Within a few hours, the room was noticeably better. After running for 24 hours, the air quality improved significantly. We’re very satisfied with the purchase.

Shark 3-1 Max Air Purifier
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was skeptical at first because of the some of the review. First box delivered was like someone returned. Box was opened and used. Returned to the store and waited for 2 weeks to get a replacement. I am happy with the new item. Works great with cool and hot. So far so good!

Decent purifier
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the shark 3 in 1!! I have an in home daycare so keeping the air as clean as possible is definitely a priority. I typically keep it on auto for the purifier until about 3:30p and I’ll switch to fan for added air. I’m honestly trusting the air quality indicator to do the job. Cooking and blowing drying hair typically sends it straight to poor air quality. I appreciate the heads up.

Beware: Completely remote-control-dependent.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Between the heat and purification, this is a pretty good investment. I picked mine up while it was on sale for $200. But... I wouldn't pay a penny more for it. The terrifying thing about this air purifier is that EVERY function you want to use is controlled by the supplied remote control. Without it you can only turn the purifier on and off at the last setting you used. I bought one and returned it in-store for a replacement. Then I called customer service about the second one and I'm not sure if I'll keep it, replace it, or return it. The first one's remote worked only sometimes within inches of the machine -- and even then I couldn't figure out where the sensor was! Because of this I started leaving the remote on the top where it snaps in magnetically. One day, after using the heat function for a couple hours, I picked up the remote to turn the purifier off and it was very warm to the touch. Not only that, but it stopped working! So, I returned it for the second one, but even this one started off quite poorly. On high for over a day, it never got past 86% clean air. I called Shark with my concern and they registered my product and said they'd ship a new one out to me -- in two weeks, AFTER they received the cut-off plug from this one. Instead, I took the filter out, blew canned air in the empty space and on the filter, then stuck the filter back in after flipping it over. A couple hours later my air was 100%. Whether I received two duds or not, I can't say. I definitely wasn't going to wait around for 2-3 weeks hoping for a working air purifier when I can just return this one if need be. (Local store is out of stock or I would have already exchanged this second one.) Does this air purifier work? Probably -- though my air is somehow usually between 96 and 99 percent despite air purifiers in every other room of the house reading 100%. The following is based on BOTH purifiers behavior and functioning, not just a quirk in one or the other. The biggest positives: - Nice air flow. - Quiet when at level 3 or below. - Oscillation is great -- especially when using in heat mode. - Off timer, let the purifier run 24 hours or shut off any time between 1 and 12 hours. - Built-in thermostat so you won't overheat the house (the purifier will beep when it reaches the correct temperature so you can decide if you'd like to change the temp.) My three biggest issues with this are: - The remote being 99% of how you control this since it doesn't work very well and not from more than 5 feet away. - The awkward feel of the perfectly circular remote, so I have to turn the light on to figure out which direction to point it and to find the correct button I need. (Tip: just put a piece of masking tape where the power button is to help with this.) - The squeaking/whatever noise it makes at the farthest points of its oscillation cycle (all the way left, all the way right). This happens if not in use for a while or if still and then oscillation is turned on after a few hours. - How loud the fan is on high and how inconsistent the cleaning is when it continuously jumps between air qualities. (Going from 74-78, down to 72 up to 80, back to 75... causing the fan to speed up and slow down every minute or so.) As for odor control, I'm not sure what to expect but 2-3 days after cooking the house will still smell very strongly of smoke even after leaving it on high during the night. I purchased this because my guests were smokers and I thought it would help with the kitchen smell as well. I had high hopes for this product considering they say it's worth $449. The holiday sale price definitely makes it affordable and I believe anything more than that is ridiculous. Especially since I doubt the remote will last very long.

Keeps the house fresh.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Use in large living room. It works great! The other day, i fried bacon for breakfast. By noon the odor was gone. The smell usually hangs in the house for 12 to 24 hours. Since the air conditioning circulates the air for the whole house, this unit is capable of keeping up, removing odors, pollens, and dust.

||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Would an ordinary fan do? Yes but this thing is awesome. Heater/Fan Air purifier
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Would've preferred the white color with the 500 sq.ft since the 1000 sq.ft is significantly bigger. That said, it works as expected!

Works well
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far it gets the job done. It’s bigger that I thought but I’m ok with that. I bright it during the sale. My only issue is that I don’t buy another one while it was on sale. I would def purchase another for my apartment & one as a gift if it goes back on sale for the price I got it for.
