Works great!! It is a bit heavier than my previous Shark but works better! Bin gets full quick (I have a labrador) but it is very easy to remove it to empty it.

Love the self cleaning brush roll. I have long hair and it was always a pain to have to clean the brush roll after every vacuum. With this Shark vacuum, no hair worries!

I was suprised to find this model has only an off/on switch. There is no switch to adjust height of roller for height of carpet or provide setting for hard wood floors. My Shark Navigator has these adjustments and I have found them very helpful. Shark APEX does not swivel as easily as the Navigator - possibly it will loosen up with use. The APEX has powerul suction and does well on medium nap carpet.

Bought this to help with the dog hair. So far has been a life saver and doesn't have any trouble picking up hair. Used on tile floors.

This vacuum is an awesome addition to any home cleaning regiment. Shark has been known to release some amazing vacuums, and this one is no exception to what consumers have come to expect. For this review, I am going to work my way from the bottom to the top of the vacuum. First, lets talk about the brush on the floor. Shark utilizes a dual brush combo on this unit. The brush on the front is soft, while the next brush is rubberized. Both brushes feature some hooks that are advertised to keep hair or strings from wrapping around the brush. These hooks appear to work great! I have vacuumed with the unit several times and I haven't found a single hair wrapped up around either brush. Above that is a set of LED lights on the left and right front of the vacuum. You really don't think this is necessary until you have it! I really like the LED lights as they allow me to see dirt better on my dark colored stained concrete floors. It makes vacuuming more precise because I can actually see where I am going! To engage the vacuum and the brush rollers, all the operator has to do is place a foot on the top of the brush assembly and lean the vacuum back. The two wheels that hold the vacuum upright when the unit is not in use fold up and the user is ready to suck up some dirt! This vacuum seems to suction to the floor like a champ! Next, the unit has a long piece of tubing that goes from the brushes to the dirt cup. The brushes can be taken off for the attachment of other tools that allow the used to suction with a brush or in crevices. Above that is the dirt cup. It is not very large, so if your vacuuming large areas you will need to empty it frequently. It has a removable, washable filter. The other thing I really like about this unit is that it is NOT cordless. I had another vacuum of similar size and style from another company that was cordless. Within one year the battery was shot, it won't run the other vacuum for more than a few minutes before shutting down. I am done with battery powered units. This unit has a long cord allowing you to vacuum more prior to unplugging it and moving to another power outlet. All in all, this is a light weight, compact unit that will serve you well. It has plenty of power and versatility to get all of your vacuuming jobs done!

I love my vacuum because I use it on my tile floor all the time and it picks up hair doesnt tangle.. Awesome

This Shark was replaced after my other Shark V.C.’s motor went. It is not as good as the last one, but it gets the job done.

Stick it in a corner to store or to clean up great little model. Powerful suction for tight spaces.
