Purchased on 9/21 it’s 10/10 and it stopped working 4 days past the return date.Turns on and runs saying air quality is it 0 percent I have another older model it says my air quality is at 100 %.wish I could return it.

The Shark Purifier Max is a must have in every home, apartment and small business. Coming in about 15lbs, the Share Purifier Max is certainly not a small appliance however it packs a punch in features which we will get into now. Upon opening the box, you will be greeted with the Shark Purifier Max appliance and the rather sparse instruction booklet. More on that in a little bit. Pulling the unit out of the box is straight forward. The first thing you will need to do is to twist off the bottom cover to remove the plastic bag that the Cartridge Filter. Once you remove the plastic protective bag, reinstall the cartridge filter and place the bottom cover back on and twist until it locks into place. Second, install the included Air Deodorizer packet by simply removing from package and placing in the opening in top of unit and twisting to lock in place. Third, connect the power cord to an outlet and tap on the power button icon on the touch screen on top of the unit. The set and forget option is to set to Auto mode which will analyze the current air quality, run for 10 minutes and if is at 100% for that length of time, will switch to eco mode which in turn will provide a quiet and efficient operation. Do yourself a huge favor and scan the QR Code on the label affixed to the side of the unit. This will have everything needed to setup and configure the Shark Purifier Max to be a set and forget appliance that monitors and cleans your air 24 /7 efficiently and extremely quiet. After only one day of running the Shark Purifier Max in our 900 sq ft townhome, the air was much cleaner, smelt better and overall was just fresher to breathe in. My wife and I have asthma and we almost immediately noticed a difference in the quality of the air we are breathing in by running the Shark Purifier Max in our home. The Shark Purifier Max is a very efficient, quiet and affordable complete home or small office air purifier appliance that will keep your family breathing clean fresh air for months on end.

I am very pleased with the Shark air purifier, as compared to my other model. First and most important to me is that the filters are almost seventy-five dollars less. Next it has a spot for a scent cartridge (if you choose to use) and last is the color and shape. My old one was kid of a rectangular shape, the color was white which made it stick out like a sore thumb no matter where it was located in the room. Setup was very simple. The filter is already inside the purifier, but it must be removed before use by turning the unit upside down, unscrewing the bottom and taking the filter out to remove the plastic. After putting it back upright, I attached the odor cartridge and it was good to go. I use it on auto, in the video what you don't see is that I had blown a burst of vape into the purifier. In less than 30 seconds it went from a very quiet hum to a full blown fan sound as you hear. It took aprx. 1.25 minutes to go back to acceptable air quality. And even though it is a very good distance from my kitchen, it was able to detect the cooking odor from hamburgers on the indoor grill. Everything you need is monitored on the top panel that remains illuminated as long as it's plugged in. You can check the % on the filter, if it's time to clean the unit etc. Each touch will give a beep unless you choose to mute the sound, which is not annoying to me. The Shark purifier addresses; cooking odor, burning smells, smoke, pollen, dust, strong cleaning solutions and more. For people like me with asthma caused by allergies, this machine is a must have.

There can be particulate pollutants in your house from various sources, including dust, cooking, overuse of air, fresheners and candles and poor air conditioner, filtering conditions, as well as leaks of outside air. Many of us are more susceptible to indoor air pollution than we are aware. In our house, we have always maintained several HEPA machines and have recently tested or purchased two shark. Machines with excellent results. This unit has an air quality display which you can watch instantly change with cooking or smoke pollutants in the room. Also anything . The unit has a convenience auto setting, which will vary the fan, speed and electricity usage based on the air sensor. This can be convenient and the unit can also be set to run for several hours. The filter assembly is easy to insert and change and the unit is quite quiet for its size. I have never had reliability problems with shark vacuums or air filters. There is an included air neutralizer, which is some type of a scented air freshener not any type of a charcoal filter as far as I can tell. To me, this is unneeded and actually works against your air quality by covering up odors.

I have their air-purifier with built in heating, which I love for my home office, but I decided to try this out, because of the scent. I have a dog, she sheds, she doesn't stink. But others notice the infamous “dog” odor. Nice job Shark combining ability to scrub the air, and make it smell nice! The scent pod was not something I was expecting, and with an easy insertion and a few clicks, it gave my new apartment with the musty carpet a less musty smell. (don't worry, I will be properly cleaning the carpet later.) Shark has been reliable at scrubbing the air in my apartment in the past. So I knew what I was getting as far as filtration: Anti-Allergen NANOSEAL HEPA Filter, and it lasts between 6-12 months. I have a German Shredder so we will see how it holds up against her. As far as set up, it's plain and simple, remove unit from box, remove filter from unit and unwrap, replace filter. Add scent pod, plug in and go. Controls are easy to use as always, and I love how Shark gives you the option to dim out the lights so it becomes more unobtrusive. Now this is made for large rooms (1200sq ft – so the size of my entire apartment.. ) but if you want it in your bedroom, whisper quite with the night mode as well, low fan, and oscillation. I personally love having the hum of a fan going when I sleep and its just the right level of noise. If you're looking for something to add a lovely kick to the air, Shark's a great option to consider.

Im sure its a great air filter but mind didnt come with the odor neutralizer cap and cant find it online. Probably going to return it for a cheaper one that isnt missing parts

Stopped working. The air screen is reading zero and the fan is on hi speed all the time. Stay away.

Worked great for 2 weeks, then it stopped working. The fan ran but read a constant 0% air quality. Returned for refund.

Way overpriced all of the cheaper ones that I have owned do the same thing

Inside my home, the Shark Clean Sense Air Purifier MAX with Odor Neutralizer Technology eliminates the need for concerning me with breathing unhealthy air. The Shark Clean Sense Air Purifier MAX is always producing clean filtered air, regardless of whatever mode is being operated. The several modes of air purification can tackle all the atmospheric home problems that arise inside my urban home constantly bombarded by unclean air. The Shark Clean Sense Air Purifier MAX can monitor my homes’ air quality and display it on its screen to inform me of possible health concerns with my air. The screen shows the percentage of clean air detected and displays different colors to bring awareness of air quality. The HEPA filter captures particles the sizes of allergens, smoke, and dust and gives an estimate of time necessary to finish cleaning the air inside the complete room. The additional odor neutralizer helps further make the air smell fresher. Shark gets the HEPA filter right. Easy to set up and use, the Shark CleanSense Air Purifier MAX is pretty much ready to go right out of the box - just make sure you pop the unit open and remove the plastic off the filter first. The controls are straightforward and make sense, the unit is very quiet - even at the highest setting, and the automatic control actually works on this unit without making you think that it's not doing its job. Unboxing, assembly, and setup is a breeze. Like I said before, you have to remove the filter from the unit to take the plastic off of it; this involves peeling protective plastic and tape from the unit itself to get in there. Once this part is done, reassembly is easy. You also have an optional odor removal puck that goes on the top of the unit and has three settings; the unit functions without it. This is not a "connected" filter, which means it doesn't require WiFi for any additional features. Usage is easy enough - power it on, set it to automatic, adjust the display brightness, and you're good to go. You can set a manual fan speed if you want constantly moving air in the room you place this in and don't have a fan there. The only real drawback between the CleanSense and some other air purifiers has to do with consumables. You'll get 6-12 months out of a filter, on average, before it needs to be replaced. Some brands claim longer filter life, some brands are less expensive on the filter replacements themselves. Having said that, there's always a chance you can find the filter replacement on sale. All in all, a pretty solid unit. I'd recommend this one alongside anything it competes with.

We primarily wanted this shark air purifier max for our son’s nursery. I was positively surprised how easy it was set up and by how efficiently it purifies the air in the entire second story of our house. The purifier runs quietly; however, the noise level on the highest setting might be bothersome to some people. When on the auto setting, the purifier constantly monitors air quality and particles. The purifier kicks in as needed and makes a noticeable difference in the air quality. While we did not get this purifier to remove odors, the smell of fresh, clean air is a pleasant side effect. A great feature is that the purifier shows how polluted the air is and how long it will take to purify. The filter is recommended to be replaced every 6 to 12 months. The replacement process is super simple and should not take longer than a few minutes. At first, I was bothered by the blue display light on the front of the purifier which kept me up at night, however, I later found out that there is a dimming feature and an option to completely turn off the LED display. Another great feature for all parents out there is the child lock feature, which prevents children from changing the settings.

The Shark Clean sense is a decent air purifier with some good features. It doesn’t take much to set up the unit, other than plugging in the cord and turning it on. The Shark comes with a odor neutralizer free sample, this just slides into the top of the unit and with a few twists, it releases a fresh scent. The Unit is kind of bulky, but it is light weight and easy to move around. There isn’t much to the unit, other than the main circular filter that inserts at the bottom going up. There are a lot of open vents all around the unit for steady air intake, then the air gets blown out of the top. Unfortunately, the air flow only blows in one direction (up) and can’t be adjusted. There are some great features that I do enjoy about the Shark. For starters, it is quiet, so you don’t notice it blowing when trying to hear something on TV, or while trying to sleep. There are also 4 different levels of air flow, with one being very light and 4 being heavy. You can also set it to auto, which automatically adjusts the fan speed depending on the air quality. There is also an option to set a timer that automatically turns the unit off after a set period of time. Lastly, there is a nice blue ring light that illuminates on the front of the unit, around the display, this can be turned off with the press of a button. Overall, I enjoy the Shark Clean Sense. I set it up in my living room to test out the level of quality, and I can gladly say, my room smells very fresh due to the odor neutralizer technology. The unit does have great airflow due to all the intake vents, and I’m really impressed with how quiet the fan is considering how powerful it is. This is a great air purifier, and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Only have had it about two weeks but when I tell you immediate difference! I have two dogs so this was definitely needed! It’s quiet and does the job!

The Shark Clean Sense Air Purfier Max is a fantastic air purifier. This air purifier features a HEPA filter, as any decent air purifier should. It also feature "Odor neutralizer technology", which I think is the little scent puck that you can put in that releases a slight pleasant smell. You can control how much scent is released, but I've noticed even at the highest setting it is not overpowering or anything. It is just a subtle scent that is fresh and clean smelling. It also features a Clean Sense IQ, which I think is what makes this a really great air purifier. It features sensors that detect how clean the air is, and automatically adjusts the fan. It displays the air quality on the front display in the form of a percentage. Most of the time my air quality was right at 100%, and the fan stayed very quiet, practically unnoticeable. But I noticed when we had a candle on downstairs, within a few minutes, the percentage started dropping, eventually reaching down to about 70%, and I could tell the fan turned up a little bit, but still not very loud. This is why I really like this purifier, because it was able to detect a change in the air quality before I even realized someone lit a candle in another room on a different floor of the house. However, if you prefer manual control, you can of course always just take it out of auto and put it at whatever level you'd like. But I much prefer just leaving it on auto and letting it do it's thing. Overall I am very happy with this air purifier. It has everything I would like in an air purifier, and a little bit extra in the odor neutralizer. But it is not overly complicated or packed with unnecessary features. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a good air purifier.

We have three in our home (we have pets). Talk aboit night and day. When these go on-sale as a deal of the day or whatever, do yourself a huge favor and get one. I cant rate this highly enough. Mix this in with a dehumidifier, and you wont recognize your own living space.

From a consumer point of view, this is just so simple to setup and use, and get quality results. Out of the box, you need to take about 1 minute to take the packaging completely off (including the plastic on the filter), and install the Odor plugin. And then plugin and you are on your way. It is effectively silent on auto mode. You can feel the air moving, but even in the most quiet of rooms you can't hear it run. In my child's bedroom, it ran for about 24 hours and then got that up to near 100% clean air. My child was a little surprised when they saw the number was much lower to begin with (we were not :) ). So far a few days in, the allergy sniffles and sneezing have decreased, which was the goal. The room effectively smells and just feels better when going in there. The only marginal downside of the unit, is that it is extremely light. I can see a family with pets or a lot of activity that this unit can easily be knocked over or moved around. The cord "could" be a little longer, so that it can be placed a little further from an available outlet, without using an extension... but those are extremely minor nit-picks.

Excellent Air Purifier, perfect for large homes. It is actually a lot quieter then I thought.

Having owned other Shark products in the past, I am a fan of all their products, I’ve used their vacuum cleaners, other air purifiers as well. We have another winner with their new product the Shark Clean Sense Air Purifier MAX with Odor Neutralizer Technology, and HEPA Filter. I use this air purifier in my medium sized bedroom, at the lowest setting, this filter is almost silent, so I don’t know what to say when I’m sleeping. I do have seasonal allergies and this air purifier really helps me out, I wake up not ask congested as when I am not using an air purifier. Overall, the size of this air purifier is not tiny, but not on the big side either, kind of like a little 5 gallon bucket. It’ll fit almost anywhere. Features four speed settings, a HEPA filter, and an odor neutralizing “cap” that you plug-in on the top of the machine, I recommend this air filter to be used anywhere in the house, or office. I recommend to anyone using this product to go ahead and read the instruction manual, you’ll learn a thing or two that can be useful
