This thing sucks! Haha! Vacuum humor out of the way now.... Seriously, this vacuum really cleans! It was super easy and intuitive to put together. I found myself on several occasions laughing to myself at how simple and easy it made complicated problems just melt away. The way it steers is really neat, and once you use it you'll wonder why you never thought of that yourself... the way the parts go together and come back apart is so well thought out and super easy. The actual vacuum/cleaning of this works great as well... I was cleaning my kitchen, ceramic tiles, and I saw a toothpick under the edge of the fridge... I thought to myself, I better pick that up before I vacuum it up by accident, and just as I thought it, the Shark sucked it up into the vacuum head... I expected a bunch of noise and then eventually the toothpick flying out like a normal vacuum would do, but instead this vacuum just sucked it up quietly and kept cleaning like nothing happened! Once again I found myself laughing at how easy this made cleaning my floors. The ONLY thing I found to be kinda negative is the wand/brush combo.. it's pretty hard to get the brush to slide back up the wand. It's actually easier to just slide it off the wand if not needed and then reinstall later when needed. It will slide back up the wand, but the unlock button needs lots of pressure to unlock it.

This vacuum works great for me because the attachments are easy to work with and the vacuum converts to a light weight hand held vacuum. Easy as pie

As a longtime fan of shark brand vacuums, this model had me very excited. Our household has gone thru quite a few vacuums in the last 10-15 years, all different brands including Dyson because we had heard great things. However we recommend our shark over any other brand without even thinking about it. This model when comparing it to our shark rotator, it definitely has quite a few similarities, but also some differences. One big difference is the size of it. Its canister seems smaller when compared to others, and overall size of components on the machine all seem smaller as well. The width of the vacuum seems somewhat small too as it is only about 10 inches wide. However, I was thinking about it and this models smaller size can really be a big benefit for some people. This would be great for people who only have a small space such as a dorm, loft, or small apartment to vacuum, it makes it easier to move around furniture, store, and move around. But for some people if this will be their only vacuum for a single family household in an average sized home, it will definitely do the job, its size although small looking at first, really does make it a versatile machine. Setup on this model was very easy, most people will be able to put it together with no help from instructions. The suction control is also very convenient and easy to adjust and when vacuuming carpeting, I can really feel the difference when it comes to how easy or hard it is to move, as well as how good of a job it does actually vacuuming. One downside I have noticed is the length of the hose, there are certainly vacuums on the market that have much longer and expandable hoses, but again, this vacuum has the compact factor really going for it. I also would have liked to see shark put more bristles on the spin bar, I feel like this vacuum did not fluff up or dig into my carpet as much as other models do that have a more crowded or heavy duty looking spinning bar. Overall, this vacuum is certainly a good vacuum, it feels well built, it will get the job done no matter what surface you are trying to use it on, and again its compact size I actually see as a major benefit. I would highly recommend this vacuum, and if not this model, then certainly the shark brand itself. I have been able to turn several people on to this brand over the years and it has yet to disappoint.

The light on the it helps me clean so much better. The bare floor looks clean but when I vacuum I can see what the broom did not sweep.

I was looking forward to getting this vacuum to see how it compared to the vacuum I currently use. Well let me say, it met and exceeded all my expectations. This unit is lighter and seems to be a bit more powerful than the unit I currently use. First off, set up is easy, no tools required, just snap into place and you are on your way. Second it comes with a crevice tool with brush, and an upholstery tool. Both have a place on the back of the unit. I love the lift away abilities of this vacuum. I use it for vacuuming the stairs and it works well. You can also remove the wand and get to those hard to reach places with just a touch of a button. Now all of that is great, but how well does it pick up? Well my wife has one of those competitors you see owner advertised on TV, and she says the DuoClean is more powerful and picks up things the competitor leaves behind. But for me, I vacuumed the whole house with the competitor, then went over it with the DuoClean. I filled the container twice with the DuoClean picking up what was left behind. That is an incredible amount of power in an affordable vacuum. This is my second DuoClean and I would never use anything else, nothing else compares. My wife's EXPENSIVE rollerball vacuum is relegated to the closet and the Shark DuoClean is our vacuum of choice. One more quick item before closing. I have two dogs who love to shed and the DuoClean picks up pet hair like a magnet. I highly recommend the Shark DuoClean im confident if you do you will never go back to underpowered vacuums again.

This is my Third Shark vacuum. My other one lasted 5 yrs. I voided the warranty-water on my other vacuum... I would recommend

I love the quality of this vacuum and it is very light weight. It has many features that making cleaning faster and easier.

This vacuum works like a dream. We have two cats and it does an amazing job getting all the cat hair up. Runs quiet as well.

Works great. It does come apart easily which can happen while cleaning but overall I would buy it again

Mostly easy to maneuver, the rubber around edging protects walls, the size the fits great under kitchen cabinets. Overall good price and purchase.

We have no carpeting but several pets. This gets their hair picked up without spraying other trash.

Light and powerful. These two words rarely come together but this Shark DuoClean Lift-Away can claim them in the same sentence. We have had good vacuums but to me, the most difficult part using them is cleaning spaces that are hard to reach such as the stairs because you either use a so-so portable one or have to improvise and carry those heavy vacuums with you. Not practical. With the DuoClean Lift-Away, you can comfortably carry the detachable canister anywhere the cord can reach without the unbearable weight of the whole system. The switch to wood or carpet is useful and makes a big difference. A very powerful suction, which does not leave any dust or hair behind. Very important to my family is the anti-allergen seal technology and HEPA filter. It works very well and keeps my and my daughter’s allergies at bay while vacuuming. The wand is removable and practical. The LED light is useful not only at night but also under some furniture. Overall quality is excellent. It is not small but being light makes up for the size. As to emptying the canister, I believe this is one of the easiest ever. Just push a button. No mess. Portable, light, powerful, feature-rich. What else could I ask for? Highly recommended.
