This Shark cleans both carpet and hardwood well and is easy to empty. Light and quiet too!

I was looking for a light weight and that works great on carpet & tile floor. I was on a budget and I found this vacuum for a great price! I love this vacuum! It works great on picking up my dog's hair with no problem! It is easy to dump the dirt out of the vacuum!

Compared to other similar sweepers, most without a significant price difference, I highly recommend this Shark. It's sturdy but not too heavy, and the suction is so much stronger that I feel the floors are even cleaner with just one use. Matches up to all the advertising!

Easy to use and powerful vacuum! Great for a lot of hair or thick/stubborn carpets and rugs. Also doesn't take up a lot of space and is easy to store.

I have had a Dyson for 4 years and have never been impressed with it's inability to get deep into the carpet and pick-up dog hair, though it is good at getting the roller brush constantly bound-up. The Shark was EXCELLENT at cleaning the carpets...I was amazed! It came with 3 or 4 attachments...Dyson has one. The Dyson excelled at one thing...being able to use the telescoping handle to clean without bending over. The Shark has plenty of hose, but nowhere near a long enough wand/handle to not have to bend to use it on the floor. I was able to get the Shark on major sale and use some BB certificates. I paid under $115 out the door. Try getting any type of Dyson for that price...even one that doesn't work!

My last vacuum took several time back and forth to get the carpet clean. This one is powerful and works great for the price . I am very happy

Very light weight and small for the auction it gives. Great for getting into small places. Works well on carpet and hardwood.

I fully understand that this vacuum will only last a few years... this being sad, it is such an amazing upgrade from my previous vacuum that it changed my hallway carpet a brighter color and picked up dirt I didn't even know was there. It is much lighter than I anticipated and easy to use. I also got a good deal on it for a cycber Monday deal... so there's that as well!

Really like our new vacuum and is a great value. Pros: Definitely powerful enough for household use. Works really well on both carpet and floor. Settings for both is a nice touch although I typically use the carpet setting for our floors as they are tile and I don't really have to worry about the brushes scuffing them up. Emptying out the canister is a snap. It's really lightweight which is great. Plus it has a an easy carry handle on top of the canister which makes carrying it a whole lot less awkward. Cons: The tube isn't as long as it seems. It looks like it would stretch a good amount but doesn't really which makes it easy to tip it over. It's also a bit annoying to have to "force" the vacuum back with your foot every time you stand it upright while in use. The reason being that when in use and stood upright, it automatically turns off the brushes so they don't keep spinning in the same place. But if need to pause fairly often, having to force it down becomes a bit annoying. Also, the canister is a bit small but simply emptying it out when you're ready to put it up isn't really that big a deal. Overall, great vacuum for the price if you're going to use it for 'normal' household use. Happy with the purchase.

I couldn't be happier with my purchase of the Shark Navigator! My old vacuum was still working but I wanted something smaller and one that could work on bare floors too. With the old vacuum, I could do the living room floor and the dust bin wouldn't even be half full so I thought it was pretty clean. The first time I used the Shark, it filled the tank before I was finished! After using it a couple of times, the carpet smelled fresher and even felt softer than before! Small, lightweight and has a good amount of cord to get around the room and it's easy to use. I would definitely recommend this to a friend!

I just love this product. This is my second Shark vacuum (I had the first one for over ten years). It has some great features and it is easy to use. If it had a cord winder it would be perfect. The tools are easy to use, easy to turn on, and I like the ease of emptying the holder (no bags). It works great on carpet, wood, and tile floors. I am very happy with my purchase.

Just like any good vacuum, this one sucks up just about anything. It doesn't do too well with bigger things on bare floors, but cleans carpets and mats very well. Light weight, easy to use.

We were in the market for a new vacuum, I didn't want anything cheap that would need replacing sooner then later. I originally wanted a Dyson and decided to compare vacuums and read reviews. After my research I decided to go with a Shark as it seemed very similar but not as expensive. I've had this for a month now and absolutely love it! It picks up stuff I never thought was in my carpet, and the pet brush is great on furniture. Even removes my Beagles fur that sticks right into the couch. It's light weight and being smaller in size it fits places my last vacuum wouldn't.

I have a Dyson which works great but needed something less expensive for upstairs. I am very impressed with this vacuum. I would recommend this over other vacuums

This is a phenomenal vacuum! It works great on both rugs and hardwood/barefloor surfaces! It was easy to assemble and it is easy to carry around!

This was our first shark vacuum and I can honestly say I will never Buy another brand. This vacuum deep cleans every surface in your home. It instantly removes pet hair from couches without having to go over it 1 million times. Our carpets were vacuumed regularly but the second we used the shark, it brought up so much more that we didn't even know was there. It also works great on hardwood and tile -- None of that flinging dust and dirt around like other vacuums. I will definitely never buy anything else!

I heard good things about Shark vacuums and so I decided to try it after my Hoover broke on me. It cleans up a dirty carpet very well. It's light and easy to move around. It doesn't have a retractable cord like the Hoover, but the rotating brush head on the intake area really helps loosen the dirt and crumbs up out of the carpets and rugs

I gave to my son who is a college student after the last one (Bissell) stopped picking up anything at all after a year. He said after using this one, he has never seen their carpet so clean. It picked up little fuzzies on the dark carpet that had been there since they moved in. The next test is to see how long this one lasts. Was simple to put together. Also, the filter needs cleaning every 3 months.
