I vacuum the house for my wife as she has an artificial wrist and it is tough for her to do all the twisting and turning plus our house has five levels. I bought this machine to replace a big Hoover vacuum. The Shark is wonderful and has plenty of power. The fact you can turn off the brush but still vacuum is great for stairs and toilet brush tool. Only minus is short cord. We have a long haired dog and the Shark does great on dog hair. I empty the dust cylinder of dirt and hair as sugessted. Well designed machine; light but powerful. I love it.

Strong vacuum that is light and easy to use. I liked the attachments especially the pet hair brush which works great. Disappointed by the cord, hard to wind up, old fashioned.

love this vacuum! for the price you can't beat it. I bought this based on the reviews/price. Prior vacuum was a much more expensive Dyson. this vacuum is 10x better than the more expensive one. It has much stronger suction and is significantly better at picking up my 90lb dog's long hair. don't waste your time on a $500 machine. drawback - the cord could be longer.

Pros-great suction, excellent with pet hair, lightweight, good attachments, low profile allows it to reach under counters Cons-short cord (extension cord solved this problem), smallish collection canister needs to be emptied frequently I bought this as a stopgap after our Dyson died, and I am impressed and not switching back to a Dyson. The Shark picks up pet hair exceptionally well and the upholstery tool is great on furniture and stairs. The collection canister is probably meant for 2,000 sq ft, more than that and you will be dumping the container before you finish. The price is amazing for the performance, the Shark is a great buy.

This vacuum works great! I have 2 Mastiffs and 5 kids and 2 cats! I have a mess and have to vacuum 2 times a day to keep up with it all. I would say this is as good as the big money vacuums, maybe better and I can see a huge difference when I'm done. I wish it had a retractable cord, but it is worth the cost. Easy to clean and maintain. Most parts wipe out or dust out easily enough. I love the attachment for the stairs. I use it for my sofa to remove pet hair. I would recommend this vacuum to anyone with kids, pets, or both!

I've used Dysons for years....this is far better, lighter and less expensive. If they would add a longer cord, I'd call it perfect.

I really like the shark , works well and very light weight. The only thing i dislike is that the cord is not long enough.

Decided to purchase a Shark after borrowing my daughters. Spent a long time trying to figure out which one to buy with my $125 in Best Buy bucks. Settled on this one, even though I really wanted the Lift Away kind, but that was over our budget. This vacuum works great and is quieter than some others I've used. The only issue I have is there is no place to store the pet turbo tool on the vacuum itself and the electrical cord is a bit unwieldy to wind back onto the vacuum. Other than that, I'm glad I chose this vacuum. If I had more money, I would have liked the Lift Away model.

This vacuum does everything that I could ask for in my house. The only small problem is where the brush attachment sits. It makes wrapping up the cord a bit strange, but that could just be my OCD.. haha.

Good quality vacuum with adequate suction. Not too heavy or large. Main downside is no retractable cord.

This is my second because I was so pleased with the first. It is a simple vacuum. It does the job. It is a match for those costing 3 times more. It won't5 last as long because it's not built like a tank, but none of them do these days. The second one I bought, three years later, for some reason has a cord two feet shorter, so it doesn't reach as far. Why they did this is stupid.

This had great suction however the clips broke off. The style is kind of dated. I dont get why American vacuums dont have a retractable cord, and they are generally clunky. I would buy another but they really do all look like they are from the 1950s, and not in a good way.

This vacuum cleaner does a better job than my Dyson. It deep cleans and it's lightweight! The negatives are: The cord is short so I have to keep switching plugs and when you wind the cord up when you want to put it away, the device you hang it on isn't wide enough and it falls off. Design flaw!

I bought this vaccum about a month ago. I have nothing but praise for it. It truly does a fantastic job. It has the right weight,the cord could be a little longer but other than that I think it is one of the best on the market.

I love to empty the trash holder (bagless container), easy pop out, easy pop back in. It's powerful enough for my purpose, carpeted floor, no pets. For $100, it was a bargain. One drawback would be the power cord, have to be manually rewound.

Bought this vacuum to replace an oreck that we've had for only 5 years. We have laminate floors. Great suction but the cord is short an you can't get under almost anything.

This vacuum doesn't have attachments that stay on well also the main column easily its jammed it' super lightweight. Cord isn't long enough or thick enough not to Knot up!

It works great! Goes from hard surface to rugs effortlessly! East to empty! The power cord could be a little longer though.
