Better than Dyson
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Read several reviews and bought this sucker, we love it! It's better than our Dyson at our other home! Well worth it, highly recommended!

Great Vacuum!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great vacuum. I cleaned a sofa i had in my basement that my cats have been useing for there bed for over 2 years. I uesed the pet hair attachment and it worked better than i expected. It did not loose suction at all. It also works great on my wood floors. I would say it is equal to a Dyson but better because of the price. The only thing i'm not sure of is the durabuillty of this vacuum i guess time will tell, but it seams well made and for a 1/3 the price of a Dyson you cant beat it.

Great value vacuum cleaner
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good value, especially considering that its closest competition probably costs twice as much. Easy to empty and carry around and it does have great suction. I am amazed to see what comes out every time I empty the container. I have two cats and it has been great for picking up their hair.

Lasted 5 Years
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this same model 5 years ago. It is amazing! With 2 dogs and 2 cats, 2 kids and a hubby it made it 4 years longer than any other vaccum we have purchased. And after 2 holes in both hoses it still has amazing suction! It was cheaper to buy the same model than buying the parts I need to get mine back to 100%.We found it on sale $50.00 cheaper than from what I paid 5 years ago! I Recommend to everyone and my 85 yr old father in law ordered one! He says it's amazing! Comment if u have any questions!

Wonderful!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really impressed so far... I would be ashamed to show anyone the dirt and cat hair that came up the first time I used this product.. I'm an avid "vacuumer".. I usually vacuum lightly every day...and I thought my rugs were decently clean,.Uh..NO. If it holds up to regular use..I'm buying another for my beauty salon...It's easy to maneuver and seems to edge nicely..It's easy to empty the dust cup, and it's also easy to access the filter system for cleaning..

Just Bought It
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My views may change later, but right now, I love this thing. It sucked up dirt we didn't know that we had. I've vacuumed a mostly clean section of my rug a couple of times in the two hours I've had the machine and have gotten a huge amount of just plain filth both times. If it keeps up this behavior, I will be quite happy with it. It was on sale today on the Best Buy website with in store pickup, so if you need a vacuum right now, this one should be a good choice. I checked the user ratings for the vacuum on several different websites and all the responses were consistently high. I try to avoid things that don't have UNDER 10% 1 and 2 stars combined. So far it seems to get me good products.

Totally Awesome
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really love this sweeper. I was tired of unclogging my Eureka and it still not picking up. The Shark cleans wonderfully. Easy to put together. No complaints except the filter cup is kinda small but that's really not an issue...empty it and keep moving. I actually look forward to vacuuming...LOL.

BEST PURCHASE EVER!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Golden Retriever, and he sheds horribly, but now I don't have to worry about that since I bought the Shark. It sucks up more than you'd ever even know was there - I am SO glad that I chose this vacuum over the Dyson. Aside from the price, it works so much better! This vacuum is amazing - and I would recommend it to anyone! Buy this vacuum, and you WILL NOT be disappointed!!

Consider another brand of vacuum
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THINK TWICE BEFORE BUYING A SHARK. Their Customer Service and Technical Assistance Departments are the absolute pits. Following the purchase of a new Shark Navigator, I noted a constant whistling sound coming from the vacuum, a sound that was every bit as loud as the motor itself. I simply wanted to know if the sound was normal for this model or if it might suggest an air leak somewhere in the system. So over the next couple weeks I sent three (3) separate email to these two departments, each one asking that simple question. All three of my emails were ignored. I ultimately contacted their toll-free customer assistance line and asked them my question. I got what can only be described as a non-answer, being told that the whistling noise was "probably" normal. Not being willing to let it go at that, I sent a letter directly to the company's CEO complaining about my experiences and asking him for an answer to the one simple question I had already asked four times. He ignored my letter. Since I could not get an answer to this very simple question and being concerned that the whistle might indicate a problem with the vacuum, I've decided to box up the machine and return it to the store where I purchased it. Of course, there is the 5 year warranty offered by Shark. That normally would have provided some assurance that if my vacuum failed, I would be protected from a costly repair. However, to take advantage of the warranty, the vacuum and all it's accessories must be returned to Shark along with a check for $16.99. Add the cost of shipping the vacuum back to them, which depending upon how you package it and the shipping method you use, and you'll likely be paying $40 to $50 just to have Shark take a look at your vacuum. However if Shark's Customer Service and Technical Assistance Departments are as bad as they appear to be, then how confident can one be that their Repair Department is any better. It's bad enough sending the vacuum back once and paying $40 to $50 for the privilege, but what if they don't repair it properly and you have to send it back to them again? I'm just not willing to take that chance. I suggest that you ignore the Shark and instead purchase a vacuum make by a company with a proven track record for efficient and reliable customer service after the sale. Many vacuum manufacturers have local authorized repair stations, so checking to see if local service will be available for the brand you're considering purchasing should probably be the first step you take.

Amazing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This vacuum is amazing! I was skeptical at first because of the small size---but it is the best vacuum I've ever had....and I've had about 8! It is extremely powerful, sucks up deep down dirt. It even picked up dirt my steam clear left behind! It was super easy to put together, didn't have to go find a screw driver! They give you extra filters so when you have to clean the ones in the vacuum you can still clean! I'm amazed though because with my Eureka the filters were disgusting after every cleaning, I've had the Shark for a few weeks and they look like a new white t-shirt! The "12 cleaning path might seem small but it's so powerful I really don't notice. It has a nice long cord--and it has the best upholstery tool I've ever used. It's very easy to use, no carpet height adjuster, just a simple on/off button. I never could figure out the right setting on other vacuums! I vacuum every day and people joke about how much I love to vacuum and I say with 100% certainty that this vacuum is amazing. I looked into a Dyson but after reading some reviews decided on the Shark...best decision. If you want an amazing vacuum that really really cleans, this is it.

No loss of suction is right!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't want you to think that since I put a few comments in the "What's not so great" area that it wouldn't help you make a decision about buying the Shark Navigator. It really is a GREAT vacuum. It's a little smaller than our old, tank......er, Hoover Windtunnel. Gosh, that thing weighed a ton compared to the Shark. The shark is easy to use and has the longest cord I've ever used on a vacuum and I know some of the comments from Buyer's that they didn't like it but I do. I hate having to move the plug from outlet to outlet to outlet. I can do our entire downstairs in one move. :o) Now, for the things that the EuroPro/Shark company can look into. One, the design on how the hose loops over and slightly twist to go from the agitors up and over, to where the suction motor is, is, well, just looks odd. But to tell you the truth, it works! The vacuum still sucks up the dirt so I'm not too worried about that. The vacuum, since it has a smaller agitator head, it's not as wide as big as other vacuums and I've had to catch it a time or two as it tipped over. It's happened more than once so maybe they can look at that, but again, it still cleans fine! Lastly, i think the price could come down a little......our first two big name brand vacuums were 1/2 the price. Overall, this has been a great, little, powerful vacuum. Matter of fact, my cousin owns one, my aunt owns one, my mom does, we do now. And in the last 2 weeks, I've seen people at 2 other major chain stores purchasing guess what??? A Shark Navigator.

Not worth the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a great vacuum but it has serious design flaws. If you have all carpeting by all means, buy it, you'll love it. But if you have mostly hardwood floors forget it, buy something else. I have 3 cats and 1 dog. I have an Oreck that I love but the Oreck does not have a hose and attachments for cleaning furniture. Nor does it have good edge cleaning. If it did it would be the perfect vacuum. I have to drag out two vacs just to clean the house. So I saw the ad for the Shark Navigator and was pretty impressed. I bought it and set it up. At first I was impressed with it....til I got to the pet hair on hardwood floors. Design flaw number 1. They put the HEPA filter at the very bottom of the vacuum in the front of the vacuum! DUH! How stupid. The pet hair blew away from the vac and went under the couch as if I had a fan in front of the vac. After pulling the couch out so I could get all the hair, the darn HEPA filter blew the hair into the air as I approached the wall. Now not only do I have hair still on the floor but it is flying around the room landing on all the furniture. Okay so now I have to get out the darn duster too. Design flaw number 2. Throw rugs get caught up in the brush roller way too easy no matter what size rug or how heavy or lightweight the rug is. So forget about cleaning those with this vac. More time wasted by having to either shake the rugs out or getting my trusty Oreck to do the job. Design flaw number 3. You will be emptying the dust cup several times if you have pets. It fills up fast because it is so tiny. It looks big but their design for "no loss of suction" is to have a lot of air space between the cyclonic thingie and the collection cup. Also the vacuum sure seems heavier than 14.7 pounds. You won't be lugging it up and down stairs. Design flaw number 4. Not all attachments fit on the vac. So you either have them dangling around in the bag they provide for this purpose or dig them out of the closet everytime you need them. Design flaw number 5 The handheld power brush is big and bulky. You will not be deep cleaning fruniture with that! It is great for stairs (but not the riser) and the topside of furniture but forget about getting in between cushions with it! Also if you have carpel tunnel you might as well throw it out because it is too bulky and heavy to hang on to.

Best vacuum I have used
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first thing I noticed was that it was much quieter than I figured it would be. The suction was amazing and it does navigate everywhere. I love the advantage of no bags to throw out and I am very pleased with it! This vacuum really cleans!

VERY HAPPY Recent Buyer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've only had the Shark for a month, but I'm completely addicted to it already! From the first cleaning, it picked up a year's worth dog fur in the carpet that our previous vacuums had not been able to pick up. Between three rooms we emptied the canister three times! The carpet literally felt new again and continues to feel amazingly clean and new after each use.
