I was a little skeptical at first because I didn't have luck with a Shark cordless sweeper in the past. I needed a new vacuum but couldn't bear to spend the money on a Dyson. When I saw the TV ad for this vacuum comparing it to the Dyson, I immediately went to the internet to search for reviews. Trusting everyone's opinion, I purchased the Navigator, and all I can say is "Wow!" It really is true, it's just like a Dyson. I have used my friend's Dyson and it works just as well. The cannister is pretty small and fills up quickly, that's the only downside. The pet brush is amazing. I used it on the stairs and the sofa and it cleaned everything very well.

I can't say enough good things about this vacuum. It is amazing. It's lightweight and easy to handle but most importantly, it really picks up buried in debris in the carpet. We couldn't get over what this vacuum pulled out of the carpet. We have a cat and were very happy to see how much hair it removed from our carpet. My son used it the first day and I couldn't get it away from him because of the results.

Bought this for our office and i love it. Will never own anything other than a Shark again!

Does the job on both floor or carpet. Powerful suction.

I was looking for a new vacuum to replace the Kenmore I had due to problems with the tools. I decided to try the Shark and haven't regretted it yet. The Kenmore had an indicator light which would be red when the carpet was dirty then go to orange then green when the carpet was "clean". I used the Kenmore on my bedroom carpet until it had a green light on the whole floor then I got out my Shark. I had to empty the dirt cup twice because of all the dirt the Shark got out after my Kenmore had given the green clean light. Pretty gross! I vacuumed all the floors and was amazed at how much dirt the Shark removed. I love it! I have two dogs which shed and love the fact that it picks up so much of the hair and dirt off the carpet and the hardwood. No real complaints although I will say the vacuum feels a little cheap but it performs quite well so I can live with that. Very glad I made the switch and the price is very reasonable.

This vacuum is great and it was on sale on black Friday.

It's just not that powerful. If the brush is not on it takes a few runs to pick up a simple piece of fuzz or tissue. I really do not get all the hype. Yes, its sleek looking, light and easy to maneuver but the suction does not compare to my aging Eureka Boss.

Was a bit skeptical to purchase because I'd always used the more expensive names brands. This vacuum does more than it says.. Highly recommend

Super dirt pick up. Light weight to carry upstairs. Extra long hose, which I really love as I was always pulling my older Shark vacuum over due to the short hose. Good buy.

This is the best vacuun I have spend money on ! Smaller then other vacumms but has no loss in suction. Over all I'm very pleased with my purchase and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a new vacuum.

We bought this after borrowing the same model from some friends when our old one finally died. It works perfectly. We have a thick carpet and it picks up everything.

After reading great reviews,I bought the Shark Navigator vacuum at Best Buy and it is the WORST vacuum I ever owned. I'm older and have had pets all my life --I've had many vacuums!-- and this is the worst! Problems started when I was putting it together. The hole where the bolt goes to hold the handle on did not align right, no matter how I adjusted it. I'm a calm Christian woman but was perspiring and saying dreadful words by the time I gave up. I finally bought a nut and bolt to hold it together. The dirt container is tiny and has to be emptied continually! The beater bar continually stops rolling, even after I've cleared out any dog hair. If I can get through 3 vacuum sessions without having to deal with beater bar issues with this piece of junk I'm lucky! I'm going to have to go out and buy another vacuum because this vacuum stresses me out! I will never buy a Shark product again, and strongly advise others to think twice!

I love, love, love my vacuum. I read other reviews and was doubtful it could be that good, but it is. Like other reviewers, I vacuumed with my old vacuum, than this one. I was amazed at how much was being left behind. I am turning into a lame housewife, showing my husband the dirt canister every time I vacuum. Even in a shoe-free home, it picks up alot. Combined with my Hoover Steam Vac, I no longer have to be ashamed by my carpets when we entertain, I no longer am covering spots with throw rugs. Spring cleaning, here I come.

I just used my new navigator and it is awesome!!! I have used a dyson before and would say the two are very similar. The difference I found in the two is the navigator has a smaller canister and is not self propelled. But if you think those 2 things are worth $300 extra dollars then I would say go buy the dyson! Absolutely wonderful! I have a cat and I saw the hair it collected! WOW.

After many vacuums...I love my Shark!! I do agree with everyone on the small cup that hold the stuff could be bigger but the clean feeling you get after vacuuming is awesome! It made my carpets feel almost new again. Also, I was in disbelief when I saw how much stuff came out of my carpets......this is truly a great buy!

I have 3 stories of house to clean, so I bought a second Shark to keep upstairs. It works fantastic, the best thing to happen to vacuum cleaners in 50 years. Best Buy's price was unbeatable...

For the most part, I love this vacuum. I'm consistently amazed by how much junk is pulled out of the carpet. However, during the summer months when my apartment is warm, the vacuum will suddenly turn off. I can hardly get through one 200 sq. ft. room without this happening, and I have to let it cool down for 20+ minutes before continuing. I called customer service who explained this is by design, and there's nothing they can do with regard to repair or replacement. Very inconvenient and annoying.`

After reading 100's of reviews on this and other vaccuums, we decided to give this one a shot. We are not dissappointed in the least bit. We have 2 dogs (one being a very, very hairy Irish Setter and the other a black lab) and a cat so pet hair is a huge problem in our house. The first time using it, my wife had to empty the canister I couldn't tell you how many times cause this was picking up hair that was deep in the carpet that my overly priced Kirby never got. The only downside to this vaccuum is the small canister, while easy to dump it is very small. We've figured to just bring a small plastic bag whenever we vaccuum so we can just dump the canister in there and keep going. I highly recommend this vaccuum!

Great vacumm for my small apartment. I thought it wasnt going to be strong but was wrong. Strong, sturdy vacumm. No complaints.
