lightweight, inexpensive, feels like it too. It works adequately but not a home run product at all. You only get what you pay for...if you are lucky.

I needed a lighter weight upright vacum to clean my apartment. I do not have pets or a lot of foot traffic. I wanted a bagless vacum with washable filters. This product was fairly easy to assemble, although it did have one long screw to insert. That was a bit awkward for me because I do not have good hand strength. Also a drawback is that Best Buy does not carry the replacement filters for this product. The replacement filters need to ordered over the internet, which is something that I do not do. I did phone Shark directly, and they said I could order them over the phone with my credit card. This is ok, I guess, but they only ship to your street address, which also does not work out for me. I have a post office box. This I can solve/resolve, but just a bit of a hassle. Have not used the vacum enough to really review it well. Seems ok so far.

After reviewing the great reviews, I went out and bought one. I've gone through several upright hepa-vacs including Dirt-Devil, Hoover, and Bissel. So far 2 uses, and the performance has been above average. The vacuum works, the machine is relatively light, but the cleanout is no different than other container vacuums. It can get dusty unless you close the bag around the exit. This also means that you have to wipe down the container afterwards which takes a few minutes because the dust covers everything (the bag, the outside walls, etc.). I will be happy if this lasts over 6 months, because that would be a record for me.

This vacuum doesn't have attachments that stay on well also the main column easily its jammed it' super lightweight. Cord isn't long enough or thick enough not to Knot up!

I like the way the vacuum suctions the dirt. The problem is that the area of the suctioning head is too small and it takes a long time to vacuum a large room.

Works great on my couch and gets the dog and cat hair off. It doesn't work as well on my hardwood floors and kind of blows the dog and cat hair around. The attachments work really well and it is easy to empty the container.

Good for carpet. Bad for hard floor. Hand tools not useful. Overall decent.

Don't vacuum well on hard floor ! But it works really good for carpets.

We have new carpet with that is extremely thick and we needed a vacum that is fully adjustable. It is a good vacum, but not right for our type of carpet.

Very lightweight. Wish it automatically retrieved cord.

Works well but is hard to maneuver. I have a 1800 square foot house and have to empty the container 3 times per vacuum. I vacuum once a week.

This is an entry level vacuum and not as well designed as other sharks.

There is nothing really wrong with this vacuum. It does deliver the suction you expect. I just did not like all the features and the power cord is coming out of the vacuum in a very odd spot that is difficult to work with, IMO.

Yes it was an affordable but helped to buy by bestbuy representative. It does it work efficiently. It is not high duty but does its work.

Great product. I would prefer it were cordless ...

Since I first used this vacuum, I have been debating about returning/exchanging it. It is not as powerful as I'd like especially the extension hose. The salesman had said that the Shark was a reliable brand and the sale price made it a good deal for comparable vacuums. I may stick with it because it fits my budget.

Small size. Good suction. Nothing special. Looks larger in pictures.

Does fine in carpet but not so good on tile floors.

I've had this vacuum for a little over a month. Pros: It definitely cleans up and gets the dog hair up. It is very lightweight compared to older vacuums I've had. Cons: I have to empty the canister pretty frequently, and it did mess up my area rug, and caused the fibers to "pull".

I did some research on vacuums before purchasing and, while this model was highly rated I'm not sure I agree with the quality of performance others have experienced. The vacuum seems to be made well but, I do not think it picks up debris very effectively.
