We currently have a smaller, lighter weight Shark vacuum in use at home. Shark seems to make solid products that do well. We've never had issues with our Shark appliances, vacuums or otherwise, so if it ain't broke, we're not going to try to fix it. The one thing we had to do with our other vacuum is periodically use a blade to cut hair that would inevitably amass on the brushroll. Once we saw Shark made a model that self-cleans hair off the brush, we didn't need to read anything else. Just more of the same easy to use design, good power, and now with hopefully no need to manually remove hair any more. What's not to like

Nothing is like a dyson, I went with cheaper option because I’ll use this one for my garage and shed cleaning.

I am so glad I tried this little red gem. After unboxing and a quick assembly ( no tools, just snap together) I was ready to tackle my carpeted stairs. A heavy machine is no pleasure to lug around especially up and down stairs. This SHARK is light, and with a 25-foot cord length, gets around my rooms easily and effortlessly. The vac motor is super powerful, and with the small pet hair brush attachment, made small work on my carpeted stairway. Greatest features: * super powerful motor, really spins the 5-inch beater bar upholstery nozzle * easily attached small nozzle and crevice tool (with built in brush) * I'm intrigued by the yellow beater bar that somehow defies getting wound with hair * easy to empty removable dirt canister (cup) * comfortable to push around and maneuver beater bar head * three (3) position on/off/beater-bar-brush motor switch easy to see and reach from top of motor canister * large rear wheels for transporting from room to room and for vacuuming large areas * fairly thin head gets under most pieces of furniture and easily between chair legs I read on Shark's website the handle has a built in static dissipation strip, so the machine won't zap me during dry, winter months Next, out to the car to give it a little T.L.Cleaning

Lighter And Tighter - A Solid Vacuum

The Shark Navigator® Zero-M™ Lift-Away Speed™ Upright Vacuum has a name that is big on ®’s and ™’s but it doesn’t really do anything to radically advance vacuum technology. And while that’s snarky, it’s not really a bad thing. Shark made perfectly fine vacuums from the start and I think they have improved dramatically to take-on competitors. And now they make a very good vacuum. What wins with this vacuum is that it is designed primarily as an upright vacuum but it has a canister that can detach (Lift-Away!) from the base so that you can carry it around easily while you vacuum hard-to-reach places (stairs, heights). Shark has made these detachable canister vacuums for years, but this new model feels like the best implementation of the concept. The detachable base is not unique among brands but I think Shark gets it right. Note - a few years ago, Shark included a clumsy four-wheeled base for the detached canister (and it also held several unwieldy attachments) - you could park the detached canister on the alternate base and pull the vacuum around behind you - it was a disaster. I’m glad Shark let that go. Shark has given this model a sleeker profile and it is much lighter. The construction feels more secure (I have an older Shark that’s kind of floppy feeling) and this new Navigator® navigates easily without feeling excessively loose. And Shark has decided to provide a few wisely-designed attachments instead of a ton of arguably useless attachments. I feel like Shark decided to stay true to their brand here - this isn’t an imitation of a Dyson or a Bissell - this is a slightly better Shark that is a really solid vacuum.

I have four dogs and a cat. is versatile with any surface I need to clean, whether I cleaning my sofa, tile floor, hardwoods, carpet, cat tree, litter, or a dog bed. My previous vacuum cleaner stopped working properly and so I was looking for a new vacuum cleaner in which hair buildup on the head would not be a problem and was easy to use. This vacuum cleaner actively removes hair buildup, which is great. It is small and not difficult to move between the basement and the main floor, which is also imperative to me. It was EXTREMELY easy to put together and was easy to start using. The first time I used it, it did smell a little bit. And even after using it there is a slight smell. My hope is that the smell will go away entirely after awhile. This vacuum cleaner also works well on both carpet and hardwood floors. Overall, it just works well and was easy to put together, which is very important to me. I have two small children in my house so I need to vacuum often. Another thing I really like is that it is bagless. Any time I buy a vacuum cleaner I make sure it is bagless because I cannot stand having to change bags. Thankfully, nowadays there is plenty of vacuum cleaners that are bagless. This is a good vacuum cleaner but nothing extraordinary. Basically, it just works and fits my needs.

At first, I thought that it might be too light to do a good job, but I found it works great and the adjustable head was a great design. I was able to get into places that my other vacuums couldn’t reach. The hose / attachment setup is also handy and easy to use. The turbo upholstery attachment performed well and did an amazing job of picking up pet hair. The brushroll stops once the handle is put up, so it can stay in place while using the attachments without spinning on the floor. I would be comfortable with using this on hard floors as well, as the front is light and it floats on the surface. Don’t let the lightness fool you, this cleans very well and runs fairly quiet. Well done, Shark.

The Shark Navigator Lift Away is an outstanding vacuum to have. It is a traditional upright bag less vacuum with a neat feature that you can lift it off it’s base so you can get to hard to reach spaces. I particularly like to use it to vacuum my car, I can have it plugged in with it’s long 25’ to the garage outlet and lift it off it’s base and place it in my car while I vacuum all the nooks and crannies. It is also rated for pet hair which means I can get all my dogs hairs out of the furniture with ease using the include power pet brush. It also has what Shark calls a Zero-M cleaner head where it actively removes hair from wrapping up the brush. They also include a dust crevice tool and a hair removal multi-tool.

I originally purchased the 360 model but that did not come with enough accessories, so I returned it and purchased the 562 model. Not only is it a fabulous red color, but it is easy to use and just what I was looking for. I hope to keep this vacuum cleaner for many years.

    Zero M is brilliant!

The most expensive vacuums get their rolling brush tangled in hair, the Zero M roller doesn't. The rest of the attachments work with carpets, furniture, hardfloors, pet hair and fabrics. I was impressed suction strength is comparable to shop vacs without the weight and size.
